Philly Chicken Cheeses teak and Battered Fries

A Community Favorite for Over 20 Years! I've been coming to Philly Steak N Subs for over 20 years, and it's hands-down one of the best spots in town. This place is truly a staple in the community - the kind of local gem that keeps people coming back generation after generation. The cheesesteaks and chicken cheese subs are always made fresh, served piping hot, and absolutely delicious every single time. The quality has never wavered over the years, which is rare to find these days. You can tell they take pride in every sandwich they make. The owner is one of the friendliest people you'll meet - I'm always greeted with a warm smile and genuine hospitality. It's that kind of welcoming atmosphere that makes Philly Steak N Subs more than just a restaurant -- it feels like home. If you're looking for great food and even better people, this is the place. Highly recommended!

The owners here are extremely kind and welcoming and this is a cheesesteak gem found in a random shopping plaza in Raleigh. They serve hot and tasty cheesesteaks fresh off the grill with warm bread and melted cheese. The meat tastes delicious too. The fries are hot and crispy. They offer chicken cheesesteaks too as well as some other sub options. This is definitely an authentic, hole in the wall, and delicious cheesesteak experience. If you don't like the look of the inside, take the food to go!

I been visiting this place for a few years no, I just decided to review it, I really like the philly steak sub, it's really good and tasty. I would be great if they clean this place throughly I think I would attract more customers, that's my only complaint about this place, other then that the food is good.

Went here tonight because I had a taste for a Philly cheesesteak. Walked in and it was empty just one guy working the place. The inside of this place needs some serious deep cleaning and remodeling it was old and dirty , made me a little skeptical to order from there. I decided to go with the cheesesteak combo which was a 6 inch and included fries and a small drink. The food was really good and a nice portion size , I just wish the place looked more clean and presentable in the inside .

We stumbled into Philly Steak & Subs and it was exactly what we were looking for, for a quick lunch. The man behind the counter was friendly and started off by asking us if we wanted fries since they take a bit longer and he wanted to get them in the fryer. We opted in for onion rings! My husband and I split the 12inch and it was plenty for both of us for lunch. My husband noted that it seems like they make their own bread here since they at least bake it off fresh with all the bread pans we saw. I thought the steak Philly was solid, could have used a touch more seasoning. I liked that they fire off everything to order and nothing is sitting around. The onion rings came out hot and crispy. For the price I would way rather eat here than spend the same amount of money at a fast food spot. We will be back!

Ive been here a few times now after finding it on yelp and this place consistently delivers. Its a no frills cheesesteak place that only has like 4 subs on the menu which i dont think ill ever try because the cheesesteak is real good. They are also very cheap and the staff is always super nice. be sure you are calling the right one for a takeout location as they have two locations and they always make sure I know which one im calling because i guess thats a problem. They have plenty of parking as its in a strip mall and they also bake their own bread which is a plus.

Well folks! I finally had the opportunity to try the Philly's here. I was disappointed. Not much flavor. Quality of meat is comparable with the price. The fries were good but not the kind of fries I expected. These fries are almost battered. I like a Idaho potato in its purest form possible, then fried. These aren't it. I won't say it's not worth a try because everyone is different when it comes to certain standards but I HAVE had better Philly's. Service was friendly. 3 stars folks.

I really want to give this place 4 stars because the food is so good, but they really need to do something about the cleanliness of the place. The glass on the front is covered in grease and fingerprints. The walls are faded and covered in food residue. The floors need a good scrubbing. They know how to make a perfect cheesesteak and the fries are cooked just right, but they are losing a lot of customers because of the condition of the place.

Paris was amazing, she gave me the run down of some of their most popular menu items. I ordered the Union Special Breakfast Sandwich , a Honey Lavender Latte & a Twice Baked Pecan Croissant. Everything was absolutely delicious. It's hard to find a really great lavender latter, but no longer, it was perfect. The croissant was like nothing I've ever tasted, every bite amazing. The Union Special was definitely that. It's a scrambled egg, fontina cheese, hash brown & romesco (roasted red pepper hummus) sandwiched between their spectacular freshly made brioche bun. So many people were coming in shortly after I arrived. I sat and worked there for about an hour and a half and it was pretty steady!!! There's maybe 5 tables inside, with a really long high top bar up against the window with seating for about 10 - 12 people. There's also several tables outside on their patio. I love that their bakery is visible through a window, they do some amazing work in there! I'll definitely be back.

Flaky croissant twist with savory sweet cream and sweet fresh strawberries in the middle. Only con would be to have a more filling of the cream and strawberries compared to the croissant twist. But still good to have as a quick breakfast or snack for later. I also got the chicken sandwich too! Would highly recommend that. You get a fried chicken cutlet topped with melted American cheese, on a bed of shredded lettuce and cucumber. It came out piping hot. It was crispy, crunchy, savory, but with the fresh veggies it gave it a slight freshness to it as well. It was well balanced. Ambiance: it's a great brunch place and quiet for just doing some work as well. I wouldn't say it's a study place or office/bookish place as it is a bit echo-y and the seating is not soft and comfy. But for a quick bite and brunch during a work lunch break, this is your spot. Maybe a great place for first casual day date! Lol Service: everyone was friendly and service was quick. You order and the counter, they give you a number and bring your food to you. Overall no problems or concerns! Overall I would go there again if I'm in the area. The location is a bit out of my way and can be difficult to navigate if it's your first time. The roads rear off to another many times. So be sure to keep and eye on the road and the signs. The hours of operation was a bit hard for me as I tried to get there before my work at 8am but they don't open till 8am and then they close right before business hours end as well so had to get there before 3pm too. So I can see why they may be a quiet place most of the time. But if you get there and go the food and drinks are good.

Over the past 3 weeks, I've noticed a steady decline in service and food quality. Please note I've ordered from here 8-10 times in that span, with dining in 3 times and Door Dashing 5-7 times. I can go back to my receipts but I made this place my go-to. One of the days I walked in to order and the guy flatly told me all subs were toasted when I asked if I could get mine toasted. Seemed a little uncalled for with the tone. The last visit onsite, the presentation from my first time (sub is spread open when served) had gotten worse. The tomatoes were noticeably smaller. My last door dash order from yesterday, I had a blonde hair in my sub. I do not have hair and it wouldn't be blonde, if so. It was mixed in as well. I threw the rest of my sub away. This is actually the second business on this strip I've found hair in my food. I don't complain, I just don't eat there anymore. But the fact I can notice a difference in service and food quality within 3 weeks is INSANE. At this point, I do not recommend this place.
