I made my own salad, which included romaine lettuce, chicken tenders, mushrooms, onions, cucumbers, shredded cheddar cheese, croutons, avocado, and ranch dressing, and it was so yum! I also ordered a side of fries, and those were delicious. After the delicious salad and fries, I wanted a sweet treat, so I ordered their churro milkshake to go, and it was to die for, I enjoyed it too. Went here with a friend a few weeks ago during the weekday and the host stand was empty. Understandable, it is a pretty slow day but felt like they should have kept an eye or ear out for the front entrance. It was dead inside maybe one other table and someone at the bar, and it still took 5 minutes of peering around the corner and stepping further into the lobby looking at the bartender for someone to greet us and us to be seated. Was seated and I ordered a medium well mac and cheese burger with fries and a drink, and my friend ordered a salad and a drink. Got a sweet tea and that was good, until the refill was made with artificial sweetener :( Food took 25 minutes easy and we were the 2nd table in there. Food takes time to make I recognize but I feel it should not have taken as long as it did for as dead as it was. Friend unfortunately has to leave shortly after food arrived because of time constraints with other plans, and asks for to-go boxes and apologizes to the server saying it is bad timing but that they have to go. Server says no worries, brings the boxes, and just disappears for a solid 10 more minutes. Does not ask if we would like the check, does not come around for refills, nada. Friend has to then go back to the bartender and ask to check out there, for the bartender to call over our server and have her give the checks to us, and almost do the same song and dance again for the server to pick up the card/check. Server was blatantly on her phone and the bartender rolled her eyes at the server before going back to doing her own thing. My friend leaves and I get into the middle of my burger finally only to find out it looks really pink on the inside just straight rare? But perhaps it was the shadow. Bad Daddy's still rains king on being the best burger place in Raleigh. The one chain restaurant that is consistent across each location. Their French fries are hand cut and are always perfect. I had been waiting to try Bad Daddy's for a long time. I took a seat at the small upstairs bar, I was the only one there, a couple of other tables were occupied. Pretty nice that they have an elevator between the two floors. I tried a beer sample or two, but went with the pineapple jalapeno margarita, sounded good after a 3.5 hour drive after a 9 hour day of work. For dinner, I went with the Western buffalo burger with cheese, crispy onions, and BBQ sauce. It as cooked medium, as I requested. I still maintain crispy onions are the most underrated burger topping. The fries were fresh cut, which I really appreciate, but they could have been warmer. I got sides of garlic mayo (aioli) and Bad daddy's sauce for dipping and both were very good. It took a second request to get the garlic mayo though. Servers and bartenders were friendly, some more outgoing than others. The vibe was fun, a little hipster, but a place I would definitely come back to so I could try more of the menu. read more

The was my first time visiting this location and we went on cinco de mayo. They had $2.50 locoritas in all flavors. Our drinks were good and we got a few of them. I have never had a worse piece of salmon in my life. It was dry, inedible, shoe leather. The steamed broccoli was delicious. Just stay far away from the salmon. Whenever we visit family in the area we stop in here for either a lunch or a dinner. A few times it has been too busy and the wait too long so we've opted to do something else, but when it's not so crazy it's a solid place for a bite. The staff is always really friendly and placing orders is easy enough. The wait for the food to come out can be a bit long but everything is made as you order it, so not super unexpected. If you have little ones that don't like to wait I would recommend that you ask for their meals to come out as soon as they are ready rather than with everyone else's meals. They have upstairs and downstairs seating alongside a mix of tables and booths. The tables are in the middle areas and you may feel a bit crowded at them with all the foot traffic. We arrived on Saturday afternoon at an off-time and were seated at a high top at the bar where we had terrific Service from the most delightful Gal. She took great care of us! We found brews that made each of us very happy. Both of us got Bistro Burgers. Husband had a beef one while I asked for Turkey. I got Onion Rings and he got Tater Tots. We asked and were granted bad daddy's sauce to go with it all. YUM. I will say I would probably pass on the turkey patty in the future. I had the Shroom Burger and it tasted great. It wasn't overly greasy but had just enough to scream eat me! It came with fries. The fries were decent and the flavor was quite good. My drink today was the house amber beer. It had a slight fruity flavor and cold which I like. However, there are several types to choose from along with mixed drinks, so don't be shy. I met a friend for dinner on 24APR2024 since Bad Daddy's has the best salads. There is no place else that allows you to choose exactly what you want in the salad plus their awesome fried chicken and chipotle ranch dressing. Annabelle was our sweet server that kept refilling our waters and gave us appropriate attention. It is decorated with Hollywood nostalgia and would get a better rating if they'd just drop the noise level down about 50%! Service was good relative to the number of people being served. Not too long of a wait on the food once the order is taken. The Daddy's Philly was good but unfortunately the first bite reminded me of Hamburger Helper with cheese with the chopped burger instead of the steak slices. The jalapeños was a nice added touch. Everyone at the table liked their choices as well and the homemade chips and tater tots were very good. Would definitely recommend trying it out but if you're a Philly eater, I'd probably try something else since it really doesn't taste like one.
