    Buffalo Chicken Wrap

My favorite weekday lunch spot! Lunch menu is the best deal in town, with lots of great choices under $10. Today's special was Buffalo chicken wrap with fries for $8.95 - that's cheaper than some fast food places and it's way better. I've enjoyed everything I've had from the lunch menu. My personal favorite is the lunch southwest chicken salad - it's amazing! If you're a beer person, they always have a $5 flight of rotating craft drafts, which is a steal! Service is always good and I enjoy warm days on the patio.

Awesome waitress, Nicole, and friendly greeter.

I had the Brussel Sprouts the first time and they were really good. Our second trip I'm having the Harvest Fruit and Nut salad.

Good food and service. The location was clean and well maintained. For a tavern to drinks were delicious and the appetizers were excellent. The entrees were okay - it's a tavern not fine dining. Our waitress was great with service and recommendations! Will be back to try other menu items.

A bit disappointed. We love JDs & these were honestly tasty! However, the server told me it came with about 15-20 pieces. I counted 8 :/ This was definitely not enough for a meal (as she said it would've been)- so I do feel like it was a waste of money & I left still hungry.

I met a friend here for dinner. The location has a very casual vibe that reminds me of place to watch Sunday football. This place may be on my list during football season to watch the Philadelphia Eagles play. The location has a bar, booths and high top tables. The menu has an array of options to choose from. We ordered the fried pickles, sliders, wings and tots. I enjoyed everything but the sliders. They weren't cooked to my liking nor was I asked how I would like them cooked. The servers were friendly and attentive. I appreciate that she consistently checked on us to ensure we were enjoying our visit.

Nice dark wood interior. Quick and friendly service. A tasty Cuban sandwich with a side of thin sliced skinless baked potatoes with butter, cheese, sour cream and bacon which they call a Naked Baker. A good place to eat after some very good craft beer at Peakway Taps in the same shopping center. Would give it 3.5 if I could.

Burger with mushrooms and sautéed onions. Charred sprouts.

My favorite place for food and watching sports. Sports type ambiance and pub like. Servers are always good. You have to try JDs.

Great place to watch "the game". Great selection of food to eat. Never been disappointed. Love the pretzel, asian bowl, and Greek salad.

The building itself really looks cool and I've always enjoyed eating here. The food always has a weird array of foods and options but it's always been good.

After opening the Yelp app, looking at reviews and pictures, we decided to give Scratch Kitchen & Taproom and go. NARRATIVE: Due to construction in the parking lot behind Scratch Kitchen (Temple Street), we ended up entering the restaurant from the N. Salem Street. And before going in, I noticed the signage above the building says; Tobacco & Mule Exchange. I'm not sure of the buildings history but the buildings interior has a story. Entering from the Salem Street side, you'll pass several shops and a unique bar / barber shop and Scratch Kitchen is located at the end of the hallway on the left. When we arrived at the podium, just outside the restaurant, we were promptly greeted and seated and within the minute, our server and his "shadow" server greeted us and introduced themselves. And after going over the menu and special meals for the day, our drink orders were taken. We ordered the Spicy Tuna Sushi Round as our appetizer; "Spicy ahi tuna with avocado, cucumber and wake over a seared sushi rice patty with edamame and fried green tomato. Topped with wasabi-miso crema and mirin-soy glaze." It was presented and tasted just as good as it sounds. For the main dish, I had to get the Shrimp & Grits; "Cheddar stone ground grits with seared shrimp and pork belly, peppers, onions and a creamy gochugaru sauce. Topped with green onions." And as you can see by not only my photos but others on Yelp, it was an amazing choice and amazing meal. I don't recall what my daughter had as her main but she said it was really good. SCENE: Scratch Kitchen & Taproom is located in the downtown area of Apex. Parking, especially when city workers are doing construction in the rear lot (Temple Street) can be a challenge. I also noted a man, who had too much to drink did order and get a ride from either an Uber or Lyft which is great if you don't want to drive or worry about parking. RECOMMENDATION(S): Scratch Kitchen is quant with that small town feel. Service from the staff was top notch and genuine and could be felt during our interacts with them. The food and its presentation were exemplary so yes, I'll highly recommend a visit. I know I'll be back.
