Clean area and nice staff.
Elliot C.

I'm not sure why everybody raised this place as low as they do. The staff seems friendly. The food was really good and it appears to be very clean. I think people expect too much from a fast food Chinese restaurant. For what it is I think they are doing a great job!

I ordered uber eats in this restaurant and the steamed rice and veggies are good match with walnut shrimp and broccoli beef, lots of vitamins. Orange chicken is also good, it's very crispy although through such a long way till it came to me.

Ya'all have likely read my humble opinions on the state of Chinese food in Apex. So far, I've found one decent place with the rest ranging from dismal to nasty. I had kinda given up hope. My son drug me to Panda Express saying that it has changed. Well guess what....it has! It's clean with a fair assortment of dishes. We went at lunch and everything was really fresh. I went with the wok fired shrimp and was pleasantly surprised. It was mildly spicey and the veggies were still crisp. It was vastly different from the soggy nasty Chinese normally found at the mall (where this company originated). Malls have evolved and so has Panda express. They have outdoor seating and a drive thru too!!

Waited in the drive through to place my order for about 5 minutes before being acknowledged. Ordered a bowl with black pepper steak with noodles and a mango guava tea. After confirming I said steak and not chicken multiple times I was told to hold and had to repeat my order over again for someone else. Get to the window and the worker said nothing. Just held out her hand for payment. A nice guy handed me my food and I was on my way. I paid almost $4 for a cup of ice. The tea literally had about 5 sips in it. The noodles were dry. And we're not even equivalent to ramen you'd get in a grocery store. No sauce,no flavor at all except the parts that touched the 4 pieces of shriveled steak I was given. I paid $15 for ice, noodles and onions. Wouldn't recommend.

Food was not good , ordered a drink and the made me get ice , I told them I didn't won't ice so they proceeded to full my drink cup up half way , Service was ridiculous, so since they fill my cup up halfway, I told them to add ice unbelievable

Wow! Fast, friendly service. Had the Sweet and Sour Chicken with the Fried Rice. Absolutely delicious. Actually better quality food than most Chinese Restaurants in Wake County. Cheers Panda Express Apex!!

This was our first time visiting a Panda Express... I stated this to the workers before ordering. Despite this, I got the vibe that the employee was "annoyed" with me. Sorry? I ordered a meal that had 3 entrees and side: noodles (meh), orange chicken (ok), green bean chicken (meh), and another chicken I can't remember the name of but it was just "meh" as well. I love American Chinese food but this was just average. My kids seemed to enjoy it (but then again, they eat their own boogers so...) Restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating. Located right off 64. Personally I would rather try some other Chinese places before returning to Panda Express.

Skimpy portions on broccoli beef and honey walnut shrimp, orange chicken was fine.

Don't order DoorDash they will give you the nastiest and worst quality ingredients left over.

I've always been curious about it and saw all of the "four star reviews" I got an order from them last night via Uber eats. I live so close the delivery was prompt and right on time and the food was hot so no complaints there. However, I have to say, it is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life and I've had pretty bad Chinese food! I got the shrimp fried rice and the Mongolian beef and basically, they both look like there were "soaked" in soy sauce. Very salty. Flavorless except for the soy sauce and absolutely disgusting! The picture of those two dishes, of course looks delicious and the fried rice is the exact right color in the picture, sort of a yellowish color from small amounts of soy sauce or sauce. When mine came, it was actually dark brown in color and just sopping wet with soy sauce. Same thing for the Mongolian beef. This food was not only bad, it was probably one of the worst things I ever put in my mouth and I would absolutely never ever order from there again and surely would not go there for a sitdown meal. It was disgusting! I'm still struggling to understand why there were so many three star and four star reviews for this restaurant in my meal came out so badly and so awful. I remain perplexed. No apologies for this one star review. It was awful. PS-I would've added some photos of the food for proof, but it was so disgusting. I threw away most of it what was left over and could not even imagine keeping it as a leftover.

We enjoyed so many different dishes - hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, hand pulled noodles with beef, kung Pao chicken, cumin beef, beef with vegetables, crag rangoon, and pork dumplings. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

We really wanted a good Asian meal, and not typical takeout, so we got on the Yelp app while traveling through Raleigh, and found this place not too far of our route in Cary. It's in an international themed shopping center a bit off the main drag, and honestly, the vibes hit us just right from the moment we got out of the car. You walk in and you can see the cooks at work to the left, the restaurant is bright with lots of blue and a large mural to the right. We got immediate service, the menu is large and daunting. There is anything here from more typical Chinese American cuisine, all the way into more esoteric options for the experienced eater. We ordered a bit of both, starting with some simple steam pork dumplings, beef lo mein, and an order of hot pot pepper chicken. Everything came out mostly together, with the hot pot chicken served in a wok, keeping things steaming. Everything tasted and looked exceptional. The dumplings were a lovely texture, with plenty of meat filling the pockets. Beef lo mein was a top notch versioin of the takeout classic, with a tangy flavor and a good amount of meat. All that said, the hot pot pepper chicken absolutely stole the show! This was a robust dish, plenty here for a meal plus leftovers first off, but beyond the perfectly crispy outside and tender inside chicken pieces, we really got into the sliced cauliflower and veggie mixture. Over a bit of rice, this is a dish we won't be able to resist again, not that the others weren't an easy re-order as well. This spot will be on our minds everytime we head into or through this area from now on. Thanks for making it a top notch road stop Chengdu 7!

Happy to report:…read moreTaipei 101 in Cary is still holding it down as one of the most reliable Chinese spots in the RTP area. We kicked things off with the hot & sour soup and Szechuan cold noodles--both excellent. The soup had that perfect balance of tangy heat without going overboard, and the cold noodles brought a nice punch of spice and sesame that woke up the palate. For mains, we went with the beef chow fun and salt & pepper squid. The chow fun had that slightly smoky, charred flavor you want with tender beef and well-seasoned noodles that weren't greasy. The squid was crispy, lightly battered, and tossed with just the right amount of salt, pepper, and aromatics--super addictive. Every dish hit. No misses, no filler--just solid, satisfying Chinese food done right. It's always a good sign when a place still delivers years later, and Taipei 101 definitely does.

The vegetable lo mein was just as underwhelming, with only a small amount of carrots, scallions, and broccoli, lacking real flavor while somehow being overly salty. We also ordered the eggplant with basil, but the sauce was thick, overly sticky, and tasted more like sugar than anything else. I can't understand how this could be considered authentic. We had visited this restaurant about ten years ago, and the quality has clearly declined since then.

It was easily enough for two people, maybe even three, and we came with a hearty appetite. We chose the bone broth, loaded up on fresh vegetables, and ordered the incredible sweet rice cakes, which are deep fried, dusted with brown sugar, and served with a rich brown sugar dipping sauce. We also tried the marinated beef and grilled chicken, both of which were tender and flavorful. The menu explains the spice levels really clearly, and there is a full sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauce, so whether you like mild or super spicy, it is completely up to you. We went around 4 PM, and there were already four or five other parties. By the time we were finishing up, it was getting really busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it is probably best to come earlier. The delicious smells wafting through the restaurant immediately let me know that I was in the right place. I ordered the Fatty Beef Szechuan Hotpot Yunnan Rice Noodle & Fried Dumplings. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. I'm honestly not a big fan of the rice noodles but they went well with the broth. My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. The rice cakes were good but not the best we've tried. It's something we'd order again though.
