They have good food but the customer service can be really crappy. For me driving 35 minutes to get Panda Express I would think that at least the customer service was good . Also I came about 3 and they were out of several items.. why is there no food and it's the middle of the day? And they didn't really offer to make more or say what the wait was . Kind of dissatisfied. I also want to know why if I get a bigger plate is it that y'all put the side on the plate instead of in the tiniest side container it's supposed to go in. I've never used the drive thru since you cannot look and see if your item is fresh. Ordering inside is the best option. Use the app to earn rewards easily. I rarely order the up charge entrees. The teriyaki chicken is your best value entree. Best way to get a large portion is to say your order is to go. The to go box is about 20% larger than the dine in plate. read more

I went to this location and the staff was kind but I didn't appreciate the fact that I pulled up at 9pm and they already had the chairs on the tables when they close at 10:30. They turned all the lights off around the building at 10pm. Everywhere online says 10:30. I would be upset if I traveled to get something to eat and somewhere closed early. I traveled from Durham because I like that it's opened later compared to other restaurants but I will be going to the Raleigh location from now on. read more

I love authentic Chinese food but there are days where I need myself some Panda Express. It's nice to see more PE popping up in the Triangle because it's on another level, especially for a quick lunch. This location is a bit out from the Triangle park but worth the visit. What I don't like about this particular location is the traffic. It can get congested and getting out can be like a maze. I would avoid lunch hours or take an early lunch break. The food is fresh! The walnut shrimp was so good! Also, the crispy beef. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat, this is not a bad spot; especially for under $10. Ya'all have likely read my humble opinions on the state of Chinese food in Apex. So far, I've found one decent place with the rest ranging from dismal to nasty. I had kinda given up hope. My son drug me to Panda Express saying that it has changed. Well guess what....it has! It's clean with a fair assortment of dishes. We went at lunch and everything was really fresh. I went with the wok fired shrimp and was pleasantly surprised. It was mildly spicey and the veggies were still crisp. It was vastly different from the soggy nasty Chinese normally found at the mall (where this company originated). Malls have evolved and so has Panda express. I love this place, since moving to NC, we've been here a bunch of times. Only once was it a negative, if you can call it that, the store was closed due to low staffing. The food is always great, it's standardized being a franchise but the location keeps the food fresh, hot and always coming so we haven't ever had to wait or pick something else. I pretty much stick with orange chicken. My kids stick with the peppersteak and my wife switches it up between the orange chicken and shrimp. They have a family bundle that is a pretty good deal, saves you a few dollars over individual orders. The kids working there are always polite, which isn't always their strong suite so the management is keeping the McDonalds staff away (a bit of a reference to the area McDonalds that are at 3 or less stars) Over all, when we're anywhere near PE, we'll stop in. At our former address, the nearest one was an hour away so with this one so close, we enjoy making up for lost time. read more

I'm a sucker for Panda Express, but this location in Apex has disappointed me over and over and over again. I recently moved to the area from the CA and can't find Chinese food as good as it is there. So, Panda Express is as good as it gets. Let me start with the portion sizes. I feel like every time I have ordered a plate or bigger plate; the amount of food I receive is no where near worth the money they charge. When I would go to PE in CA, I would have enough food (entrees and sides) for 2 meals. Unfortunately, the portions you receive from the Apex location is extremely minimal. Ex: orange chicken: I received 4 pieces of chicken, Kung Pao chicken: I received a half of a spoon full (I watched them put it in the container) and finally the sides, Fried Rice: 1 small spoonful. As mentioned, definitely not worth the money. Next, the customer service is horrible. No hello, No Thank you, No Have a good. Nothing, they employees just seem miserable. And Finally, Door Dash.... It's never on or the items are very limited. I have asked about this and I was told that the opening person forgets to turn on the door dash app to accept orders. I have mentioned this to the manager (over the phone) and was told door dash is available. Ha no it's not. I feel this location has a lot that needs to be addressed, whether it's by the owner or corporate. I'm hopeful that things will change in the future. read more

I ordered a meal that had 3 entrees and side: noodles (meh), orange chicken (ok), green bean chicken (meh), and another chicken I can't remember the name of but it was just "meh" as well. I love American Chinese food but this was just average. My kids seemed to enjoy it (but then again, they eat their own boogers so...) Restaurant was clean and there was plenty of seating. I can't remember the last time I went to panda Express, but my expectations were low and today was STILL a disappointment. Everything was dry. No sauce, not even on the orange chicken. Too much batter on the shrimp that it was chalky. We got it to go and they didn't even fill up the to go boxes. I was randomly driving through the area and decided to try this stand alone panda express out. In NY, most of the panda expresses were located in a mall and were pretty decent, so i was looking forward to a decent meal (decent for a take out). The drive-through was nice and convenient, as it had 2 menus to allow you to review before you pulled up and placed your actual order. However, the negatives outweigh the positives for me. I ordered a bowl of beef with broccoli over white rice and 2 veggie spring rolls. The total price came out to be just over $8.00. The veggie spring rolls were actually pretty decent, and didn't taste 'overly fried'. They were much smaller than most, however, that was the best part of the meal! The "beef" with broccoli reminded me of the old wendy's ad - Where's the beef? The bowl was a nice sized bowl containing approximately 1 cup of cooked white rice. There was plenty of broccoli in it (probably 8 pieces), and if i was lucky, maybe 1/10th oz of a piece of meat. The meat was so small that the meal was pretty much rice with broccoli and a little bit of sauce. For the price of that meal, and from having previous "Panda Express" meals, I was quite disappointed. One would have thought that the meal would actually be filling, but was barely that. The time i went, it was not busy at all (no one inside), and no one at the drive through. We ordered the family entree and there were so many things that went wrong. 1. My husband went to pick up the online order. He placed pick-up time for 5:25 and didn't get it until HALF HOUR LATER. 2. Solid place to get take out or to eat in. 3 star rating doesn't mean I don't recommend it, just saying it's a solid option and nothing over the top. With the explosion of amazing Korean, Japanese, Chinese restaurants in the area, there are now a lot more options that are worth and in the same relative price point. However, with Panda you know what to expect and the consistency is always there. With this location it's very kid friendly, and lots of space for them to run around. I pull into the drive thru Halloween evening to get my kid some food. I speak my order and even say "hi may I have" prior to placing my order but this girl still insisted on having a funky attitude. Anywho, I place the order and of course not a single item is already cooked so I'm told to pull around front and wait 5 mins for the food to be brought out to me. 5 mins comes and goes as other people that pull up after me go in and get their food and leave. 21 mins mins later I go in and ask where my food is and she has the nerve to ask me "what's your order?" The same damn order you told me to wait 5 mins for, smh...that's what order. She goes to the side and it's bagged up and just sitting there she offers no apology...no thank you for waiting. Nothing. I am unsure what the manager on duty name was on Sun 4/14 around 4pm but she had horrible customer service. My fam and I witnessed her yelling at an employee. We asked for fresh chicken rolls because the prepared ones looked burned and hard. They cooked fresh ones after what seemed like a debating convo but they were hard and burned too. The employee admitted that the grease probably needed to be changed and I was told I would get a refund bu then the manager said she could not refund me. She gave me another plate free of charge however I do not like leftovers so not really a good option for me. Overall, the food was good with the exception of the noodles (they were dry) but it is very unlikely that I will return to this location because good food is not enough....customer service really matters and this location needs much work in that area. read more
