    Vegetable lo mein

Great food and lots of options. Food was made fast and friendly service. Getting food here will be our new Christmas tradition every year

    Fried Pork Dumplings

One of the best chinese take out I have ever had, my Boyfriend and I order lo mein and general so's from here practically every week. Service is amazing! Very minimal mistakes and they pack those containers for all their worth! If you want good chinese go here.

Decent Chinese food but my chicken was pretty dry and didn't taste very fresh... tofu was better but not super flavorful. Overall okay local Chinese food but if you are willing to drive 20 mins away to Fu Kee for GREAT Chinese it's worth it.

    Cockroach in Kung Pao

Dead cockroach in the kung pao chicken take-out.... We ordered takeout that included Kung Pao chicken and a few other entrees and sides. Before finishing a portion of the kung pao, I saw a weird object lying in the slurry of chicken, veggies, and sauce. When moving everything away, a dead cockroach appeared. Of course, this resulted in a loss of appetite and disgust for everyone eating the meal. We called the restaurant to inform them and to ask for a refund. Their immediate response was to only refund the kung pao chicken entree. After we said that was unacceptable because who know what could be in the other food or the cleanliness of their kitchen, they told us to bring back all of the food in order to receive a full refund, which we did. When arriving and seeing the bug, they were nice and apologized. Hopefully we don't get sick from what we ate and there weren't more bugs were in the food. We did not look into the food further for more bugs.

We are all entitled to our own opinions, right? Well here's mine: Parking: 4 Location: 4 Decor/ambiance: 1 Customer Service: 3 Dude... Lets start with the decor and ambiance... The moment you walk in the door the first thing you will notice is the menu pictures. They are all faded and you can't even see the images of the dishes. Those images are so faded you can't read anything on them. The front counter was cludered with all sorts of papers and 'things' on the night I visited. The staff member who took my order was friendly and helpful. They have great pricing. I asked for the veggie fried rice and it was good. It took the cooks about 10 minutes to prepare my meal. The menu had a title on it that said its from 2008 -- its now 2019. Other than that the food was ok, service was decent, just clean and update the place.

    General chicken fried rice.

Food was fresh seasoned and hot. Been a long time since I actually had good food from a Chinese restaurant.

I ordered the pepper chicken lunch special and received something more... yes that's right. It was a nice chunk of plastic my kid choked on.

When I went to Great China the other day, I ordered the pepper chicken lunch special. After driving 40 minutes back home, I sat down to eat my meal with my child. Next thing you know my kid starts choking on a chunk of plastic. Obviously we were upset and we wanted a refund. I called the place back and the woman starts stating that they go by Walmart's standards when it comes to refunds... so basically she wanted me to drive 40 minutes back for a takeout order when I had already thrown away the food. Like come on seriously... we were absolutely outraged. She never once apologized about there being a random piece of plastic in the meal. Never once did I receive good service even in the restaurant after I had already paid for my food the server asked if I wanted any sauces. I said I wanted white sauce and he told me it was 50 cents. Then told me I couldn't buy one or two because their card reader has a minimum. Like come on bro. Once again I was outraged. The meal sucked from the start to finish. Never eat at great China. By the way... I literally made a yelp account because I am so annoyed about this. Trust me.

The service here is not great... not even good, I've definitely had better but it's tolerable for the quick and easy Chinese take out food you want. On my most recent visit this past Sunday, I was actually surprised to be met with a "hi, can I help you?" from the woman behind the counter. Usually she's much more rude and to the point (by saying "what do you want?") but again customer service is not the reason you come... its the overly fried but cheap chinese food, which they deliver on. I would give them an extra star IF they stepped up their fried rice game. I'm always so disappointed with their fried rice being so bland and dry. Of course you can always mask that flavor with sauces, but that's not the point. Their General Tso's chicken is always consistent and good which keeps me coming back. I've also enjoyed their sesame chicken. Egg rolls are really crispy on the outside but bland on the inside, meh. To give an idea on their prices, the combination plates are usually around $7-$8; that's a meat, pork fried rice and pork egg roll. I'd say their prices are cheap in comparison to what's nearby but pretty average for Chinese take out. I've never ordered a drink but they have bottled drinks (no fountain drinks). Also, I would not recommend dining in... I noticed on this past visit, a bunch of raw garlic piled up on one table in the dining area with a bag and knife... Just laying there unattended. Pretty sure whoever was handling the garlic got busy and forgot about the garlic. But I'm left wondering if the garlic should even be prepped in the dining area?? Not sure about the story on that... But if you live in the brier creek area and desire the cheap and easy take-out Chinese food, this is your place--but don't expect more than your average experience or else you'll be disappointed.

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. What will I try next?

The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Room for probably 3 diff groups of people to eat. There were tables to seat 4, two tall stool seats by the window facing the parking lot, and a tucked away spot with a folding chair beside it and had cups of utensils on it. I ordered the cold flour noodle with sesame sauce and the shaanxi mutton soak buns. Both were tasty and the cold noodles were refreshing. The employee described the mutton soak buns dish as a soup soaked pancake which is pretty accurate. It reminds me of a rice porridge but with chopped dough instead of rice. The restroom is in the back through the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see them rolling out all the round flat bread that they use for the dishes. I'm guessing it's what they use for the rougamo (I've seen it at other Chinese restaurants described as a Chinese hamburger) and the shaanxi soak buns. It almost has a gnocchi type of consistency. It isn't your average fried rice and stir fry type of Chinese restaurant so if you're looking for something like that it might not meet your expectations. I would definitely come back to try other menu items. Also, get the plum juice. It's delicious!
