Steamed dumplings were really good! I also ordered the fried chicken it was really good I enjoyed the experience. It's a cute little place as well

This place is the best! I've been coming here for years and it always hits the spot. Everything is great but my number one rec is the general tso's chicken and I love their hot and sour soup as well. The staff is super nice and accommodating. It's a nice chill spot to dine in as well while you do work or read a book etc. great portions as well. Definitely what I needed on a rainy day.

This is what you expect when you come to a fast food Chinese restaurant. Simple food, reasonable price, and decent taste. The restaurant itself is really rundown with very minimal seating. Services decent, and you can get your food pretty quick. Taste wise, it's really average. I've had much better, fast food, Chinese food, but also much worse. My one complaint is that their fried rice and their noodles mostly just salty rather than having other nice flavors in it. I will give them credit because I asked for it to be spicy, and they gave a delicious chili oil on the side.

Consistently tasty Chinese restaurant near Meredith. I always pass this joint driving along Hillsborough. It's an unassuming stand alone building along the road with a slim parking lot. When I saw the reviews, I decided on a whim to stop by and haven't been disappointed since. It's mostly a take out place, although they do have tables inside of you want eat fresh. Since the pandemic they have placed some protection in front of the cashier stand. The owners have a thick accent and can be curt, but they're nice people and busy since it's popular with the students. This recent order was for the Hunan chicken dinner combo. Egg roll not pictured. Standard veggies with chicken in a brown sauce. A "healthier" option for American Chinese food since there's some vitamins instead of just fried chicken ;) The sauce has a nice kick with the pepper flakes and it's not overly greasy like some other places I've visited. I ordered the fried rice with egg: classic taste. The egg roll has a hint of mustard.

The number of positive Yelp reviews brought me to this restaurant on a Saturday evening. This is a takeout restaurant that has a few tables that you can eat at, but there is no waitress or waiter service. We were excited to see that they had moo shu chicken on the menu, so two of us ordered the combination dinner that included an egg roll fried rice and two pancakes. It was less than one minute from having our name called to eating. The egg rolls were already lukewarm and soggy. The main meal was hot, but the dish was skimpy on the chicken. Overall, I rate this as a good place but would not go out of my way to return.

Unfortunately I devoured all of my food before remembering to take a picture. I guess that's a sign it was good? Their website is a little vague on lunch combos so I called my order in for a sesame chicken combo (rice and egg roll) which was ready in 10 minutes. The parking lot is a bit small, but you can always park along the road right beside it. The employee greets me upon walking in and had everything ready. I was in and out in probably two minutes. My dinner was good except there was one funky piece of chicken that was cooked too much and tasted like shrimp (before I realized it and spit it out). Overall, it's one of the good Chinese places in the area (yet still not as good as Red Pepper Asian).

If you're looking for simple cheap Chinese food...this is the place. It's right near NC state and Meredith so it's pretty popular for college kids. They have great lunch deals and good dinner combinations. You can get an entree, rice, and an egg roll for right around $8. I also judge a place by their crab Rangoons and these ones are great! I have had their sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli with beef, general Tsos chicken, all good options. Do not be discouraged by the looks of this place, good quality cheap Chinese food.

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

Food was impeccable. I'll be back!…read more On a Saturday night around 8pm, I ordered a bunch of food for about 20 people as an impromptu post graduation dinner at my house. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Room for probably 3 diff groups of people to eat. There were tables to seat 4, two tall stool seats by the window facing the parking lot, and a tucked away spot with a folding chair beside it and had cups of utensils on it. I ordered the cold flour noodle with sesame sauce and the shaanxi mutton soak buns. Both were tasty and the cold noodles were refreshing. The employee described the mutton soak buns dish as a soup soaked pancake which is pretty accurate. It reminds me of a rice porridge but with chopped dough instead of rice. The restroom is in the back through the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see them rolling out all the round flat bread that they use for the dishes. I'm guessing it's what they use for the rougamo (I've seen it at other Chinese restaurants described as a Chinese hamburger) and the shaanxi soak buns. It almost has a gnocchi type of consistency. It isn't your average fried rice and stir fry type of Chinese restaurant so if you're looking for something like that it might not meet your expectations. I would definitely come back to try other menu items. Also, get the plum juice. It's delicious!
