I have to say about this little gem, I've been cheating myself. Why is it that I moved to my current location in 2021, and never think to look at places on Six Forks Road? Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. We each had the Thai Cashew and Veggies. I wish I had gotten an extra order to go! Ni Asian has a smallish dining area. The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. We visited Ni Asian Kitchen for a Wednesday lunch. It's a small restaurant with limited seating, so we ended up waiting about twenty minutes to get a table. Once seated, service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Our server kept our drinks topped off as well as quickly handling our payment. We both enjoyed our egg roll appetizer. It was clearly made from scratch and although a little mushy in the center, it was very tasty. I tried the Singapore Rice Noodles with chicken. My dish was good, but it was definitely a bit on the dry side and the chicken was overcooked. My dining companion tried the lunch fried rice with chicken. The rice was flavorful and moist; it was very, very good. All in all, we were pleased with our experience with Ni Asian Kitchen. It's definitely a notch above most strip mall Asian restaurants. As an aside, Ni Asian Kitchen really reminds me of Red Pepper Asian on New Bern Avenue, from the menu choices down to the wooden paneling on the walls. We'll definitely go back. read more

Met my son here for lunch. Tiny place with only about four booths but we were seated immediately. Service was fast and friendly. We both ordered the Thai Basil Chicken lunch portion with brown rice, mine mild and son's extra spicy. It was delicious and a good sized portion for lunch. I have been frequenting this family owned restaurant business since it opened. It's very convenient, actually within a good walk, walking distance of my home. Food is always delicious and takeout is quick and easy. Usually ready in 10-15 min. Unfortunately, since C-19, they are only open for indoor seating until 3 pm. Though I have lived very close to the restaurant since well before it opened, I just had my first takeout back in November when several of us friends got together. It was awesome. And so today, knowing with the impending storm, I might not get out for a few days, I decided to treat myself to a late lunch/early dinner. So easy to order online. And for people like me who prefer to pay in cash, it's wonderful to have the option to pay at pickup rather than charging online (no, I don't use a debit card!). The sesame chicken was awesome. Generous portion. Order was ready quickly too. The only con is the fact that there is no parking in front (I'm handicapped). I ordered from this restaurant for the first time today for lunch. I ordered online to-go. I had the bang bang shrimp, the wonton soup, and the pad see-ew. I'm sorry to say, I was very disappointed. The only thing I actually enjoyed was the bang bang shrimp. The sauce was amazing! The wonton soup and the pad see-ew were both flavorless. No matter how much I stirred and added soy sauce, it did not help. They were both just so bland. The staff were very friendly, however, and the restaurant was nice and clean. I think this might be the best Chinese food I've ever had! That was my hook, now let me give you the details. I've never been able to sit down here because they stop doing dine in at 3pm. That could potentially be a draw back for some and I understand that. The good news? When you walk in and order take out, it takes less than 10 mins. As for the food, I might have to come back and add more to my review. They serve classic Chinese dishes as well as Thai. I've only had a few Chinese options thus far, so it's all I can speak on. That being said, everything I've had has been great. Their chicken with mixed vegetables has an excellent brown sauce. The flavors are powerful and delicious. They also don't skimp on the sauce, which is great. I also had their pot stickers and I loved them. I tasted the Lo mein and it was on the upper end of average. Still a good choice though! My favorite thing so far has been the sesame chicken. That sauce is out of this world good and so dynamic in flavor in comparison to your neighborhood sesame sauce. You know how sometimes the fried chicken that gets used is a little questionable at other places? Well not here. It was fresh and lightly fried. Lastly, I want to mention how good their prices are. You don't see that too often anymore. Dinner entrees are $10.95. I also want to point out that I got the kids meal sesame chicken and it was a great portion for me. Ni Asian Kitchen is good for the $ amount and good in a pinch, but besides that it's nothing to rave about. I've tried about 6 different dishes and haven't really been impressed by any of them. The crab rangoons have very little filling (got them twice and same deal both times). The wings have good flavor but no crisp and have definitely been frozen. The pad see ew had a bit of a weird flavor to it, same with the dan dan noodles. The Chinese food I've tried has been good. I would say skip the Thai dishes, opt for the Chinese dishes instead. read more

First visit, I returned the food for a full refund. The General Tsao's chicken is all white meat and not crispy at all. Second visit, I ordered wonton soup. Go to my car and don't even make it to the stop light before I see it is spilling all over my passenger seat. The light turns green and I have no option but to dump it out to keep it from further soiling my car. A $4 soup that I didn't get to eat cost me over $100 to get my car cleaned. Going strictly off of Google reviews, I tried to give this place a try. What a huge mistake. Takeout order was for Firecracker Shrimp, House Lo Mein, and Spicy Korean. The firecracker shrimp was soggy, breaded, oil-packed balls with barely perceptible amounts of shrimp. The Spicy Korean was absolute slop. ZERO spice, just a chow mein sauce soup over meats that had a thin layer of slime, and I don't even know how to describe the veggies, except, BAARRF! The Lo Mein saved the day, being the only edible portion of the order, but it was very mid. This is definitely going into the "Never Again" category. For the first time in my life, I threw Chinese food leftovers in the trash rather than put them in the fridge. UPDATE: in an effort to recover from this last experience, I decided to get some decent Asian food asap, so I wouldn't be discouraged from ordering this type of food again. Went to Ni for lunch because I was working nearby. I prefer to order online and pay when I pick up rather than walking in and placing the order and waiting. They have limited indoor seating and pretty good outdoor seating. Upon walking in , they were very busy with patrons either waiting to be seated or pick up their orders. I placed my order and waited maybe 7-10 minutes when the same lady that took my order asked me if I was ready to order. When I told her I had replaced my order with her already, she looked flustered and turned around. My food was right there in front of her already. That said, the Hunan Chicken was sort of bland and underwhelming. The broccoli had too much crunch because they were too quick and didn't take the necessary time to cook. We ordered a thai curry, house lo mein, kids sesame chicken and the korean spicy wings as an app. It came out to about $45 with tip. The portions were great and we had so much food left over! The website was easy to use and the entrees are customizable. I like how they offer choice of all protein options for each entree. Estimated pick up time was 30 min after placing the order. Our order was ready on time and accurate. They were booming on a Saturday evening. The tables were filled with takeout orders and a line of customers inside. I can see why they are popular. The menu is varied and affordable. Plus delicious with heathy and not-as-healthy options. We picked 5 entrees plus an appetizer which came to $70. We ordered orange chicken, sweet and sour chicken, Thai basil tofu, Dan Dan noodles with chicken, pot stickers, and vegetable lo mein. All of the items were good and included fresh veggies. The only item we did not like as much was the orange chicken. It lacked orange flavor and mainly tasted like green peppers. We were quickly satisfied and saved about half for leftovers. Oh no. Maybe we caught them on a off day but unfortunately pretty much every dish we ordered to go was very bland and sadly disappointing. The only dish that did have decent flavor was the bang bang shrimp but even then, it was overly battered. The chicken pad Thai that I got had absolutely no flavor. I did not taste any tamarind which is part of the flavor profile for Pad Thai. In fact, it just tasted like stir fried noodles. I ended up adding soy sauce to my dish just to give it some flavor and I NEVER do that. My friend got the pad see ew which also was flavorless and extremely disappointing. Paying $12 per dish for bland, flavorless, oily noodles was sad. In fact, We had so much leftovers because we didn't feel like eating it and didn't even try to save the leftovers for another meal. We just called it a day and threw it away. I'm sad that Yelp steered me wrong with this restaurant. With its 4.5 stars I just expected so much better. Womp womp. Won't be returning. read more

Exceptional service, delicious food, not a long wait time for food. I've wrote several reviews about Ni and I continue to update them annually because I truly love this place. I have yet to find better sesame chicken ANYWHERE. It is a staple for me. I also love their chicken coconut curry soup -- Tom Kah. For all dishes you can tell them mild, medium, or hot for spice level. [ I tried the pad thai once and it was ok. The presentation was beautiful but similar to other reviews for this dish, I only tasted egg noodles. It was missing the peanut tangy kick that pad thai usually has. ] I still give this place 5 stars because of how kind the customer service has been (for years). I usually order takeout via phone and they are quick and friendly. If I eat my takeout outside the restaurant, they come out and offer me water and check in to see if I need anything. Found this place while I was driving around. It is tucked in the corner of shopping center. We were looking for a place to dine in but due to COVID-19, they were only offering takeout. We ordered Spicy chicken lo mein, chicken egg rolls, teriyaki chicken w/fried rice, and Korean chicken wings. It didn't take long for our food to be prepared. It was PIPING hot when we got it. Everything smelled amazing! The chicken lo mein was soooooo good. It had just the right amount of kick. The egg rolls were delicious. They were not greasy at all. I did not care for the sauce that came with it though. My son inhaled his meal. The chicken wings were delicious as well. Sweet with a little bit of spice. This was some of the best Chinese food we've ever had. We surely will return to this restaurant and are looking forward to a dine experience. read more

We are from Apex but ended up in N. Raleigh one late Saturday afternoon. We were wanting Asian so Googled around and Ni Asain was near our location. The menu looked good for us as we are vegetaians. We ordered the String Bean Dinner with Tofu and the Orange Chicken with Tofu as a substitue along with 2 vegetable spring rolls. The rolls were more substantial than any other place we've tried and tasty. The dinners were so full of flavor with surprises of other vegetable mixed in like a couple of carrot pieces in the String Bean Dinner. We would have liked to see some vegetables in the Orange Tofu. The portion sizes are generous and prices very reasonable. You get a lot of value for your money here. The only drawback was no inside dinning. They do have outdoor seating and on a weather permiting day would be wonderful. I only wish Ni Asia had a location closer to us. We would be there weekly! read more
