Classic Chinese retaurant. Friendly staff. Restaurant felt and looked clean but dated interior. Food was served fresh and hot. We enjoyed the chicken fried rice and sweet / sour chicken.

I'm a fan of Red Dragon! It's a great spot to grab takeout or dine in depending on what you are looking for. I've been in when takeout takes a minute and when it's been slammed and I've waited for 20 minutes. They do have a parking lot behind the building so it is easy to park and run in. If you are looking at the building turn in at the left of the building and there is a top level parking and you can go down for lower level parking. For those familiar they share the building/parking with Mandolin. The takeout window is in the back of the restaurant past the dining area. I've also dined in and the family who owns the restaurant is the sweetest and really wants to make sure you're happy. As far as classic American Chinese dishes go, I think the lo mein is pretty tasty and flavorful here. The crab rangoons are good, but they could use more crab in them for sure. The sesame chicken is different than how most places do it and it's worth a try. Their chicken with coconut sauce is good if you have a picky eater child who just wants plain (but tasty) chicken fingers. The crispy beef was also a big hit with our table. One of my favorite dishes here is their duck with gravy. Yum! We will continue heading over here to grab takeout or to dine in with our babe!

Had a really good experience here. I've wanted to come for some time but it's a distance from the house. The manager was friendly and very attentive. All our food came out fresh and at a decent time. They look like they do a huge door dash and Togo business.

"Crab" Rangoon. No onions, no scallions no crab.

I ordered Crab Rangoon and there was nothing but cream cheese in the Rangoon. When I called, I was told the manager was on the phone and he would call me back but added that there should be Imitation Crab, onions, scallions and cream cheese in the Rangoon. When the manager called, he said it was just cream cheese and nothing else. I asked why they are called Crab Rangoons and he didn't have an answer.

When GrubHub ask you if you want utensils or not and you check that you want them that means that you need them maybe you're in a hotel room and when you get back to your hotel room you're gonna have no wait to eat your soup or your food because you have no spoon and you have no fork being goodness I had an extra pair from yesterday's food when she gave me two and I only needed one so thank goodness I can eat my food right now because if I didn't have extra sh yesterday I would be eating with my hands or putting it in my dog bowl. No thought into packing the back no napkin no utensils no soy sauce no Duck Sauce know nothing just the food I'll never order from here again rude.

Fast, predictable, pretty decent Chinese food, rarely eat-in. Carry out is very easy, cramped parking lot on some occasions.

I came right before a show at the Alamo Drafthouse around the corner, which makes it the perfect night out for dinner and show. It looks like a lot of people order takeout here, but they have ample tables and do offer an excellent dine in service. I loved their green beans and eggplant. All their food felt more authentic and homestyle than your typical run of the mill Chinese place. The food had flavor, and it wasn't overly greasy either! I'll definitely come back next time in near north Raleigh.

The shrimp, beef, & chicken meal would've been okay if the beef hadn't been questionably fresh (I didn't eat any after the first bite) and the tough, overcooked shrimp. I tipped 15% because the service was terrible. Aside from the lady yelling, "It's okay?" from the kitchen, she never checked on me. Usually, I tip between 25-30%. After I paid and left the restaurant, the rude cashier followed me out to my car. Pointing to the receipt & tip, he yelled, "This is it?? %15 tip??" The only positive thing that I can say about Chuan Cafe is that the Diet Coke was good.

I have to say about this little gem, I've been cheating myself…read more Why is it that I moved to my current location in 2021, and never think to look at places on Six Forks Road? Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. What will I try next?

The bill was brought to us shortly before we stopped eating, but the staff were not over visiting the table to rush us. I left a double tip since we were there for over an hour during the lunch rush. Totally fair because, as I mentioned, there weren't many spaces available for eating in. I will definitely return to Ni Asian.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

Food was impeccable. I'll be back!…read more On a Saturday night around 8pm, I ordered a bunch of food for about 20 people as an impromptu post graduation dinner at my house. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. All in all, Chengdu 7 you truly made me a fan of you. I will most certainly be returning for more!

We enjoyed so many different dishes - hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, hand pulled noodles with beef, kung Pao chicken, cumin beef, beef with vegetables, crag rangoon, and pork dumplings. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Room for probably 3 diff groups of people to eat. There were tables to seat 4, two tall stool seats by the window facing the parking lot, and a tucked away spot with a folding chair beside it and had cups of utensils on it. I ordered the cold flour noodle with sesame sauce and the shaanxi mutton soak buns. Both were tasty and the cold noodles were refreshing. The employee described the mutton soak buns dish as a soup soaked pancake which is pretty accurate. It reminds me of a rice porridge but with chopped dough instead of rice. The restroom is in the back through the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see them rolling out all the round flat bread that they use for the dishes. I'm guessing it's what they use for the rougamo (I've seen it at other Chinese restaurants described as a Chinese hamburger) and the shaanxi soak buns. It almost has a gnocchi type of consistency. It isn't your average fried rice and stir fry type of Chinese restaurant so if you're looking for something like that it might not meet your expectations. I would definitely come back to try other menu items. Also, get the plum juice. It's delicious!
