The steamed dumplings are my favorite - they taste homemade and are so delicious, I would highly recommend trying some. I visited Asian Garden for the first time a few days ago. As with all shopping center Chinese places, I ordered the Hunan Chicken with steamed rice and a shrimp egg roll. The food was ready when I got there and they keep your order in an insulated bad behind the counter to keep it warm. That's a very nice touch That I've never seen before. From checking in on Yelp, I also got a free fountain drink as well. The Hunan chicken was cooked very nicely and with an appropriate amount of heat. The vegetable medley was crisp, but not mushy. The egg roll was flaky on the outside with juicy cabbage and some shrimp. Also very flavorful. Outside there is a nice shaded patio area to boot. This restaurant offers a great value, especially their lunch menu. I've had their Szechuan Beef lunch special and it was good. It is marked as spicy but it is more on the mild side. The dish comes with a good amount of veggies that are cooked to the perfect point. The Szechuan sauce was very tasty. The lunch special comes with a soup or egg roll and white or fried rice. I've also had their Beef Lo Mein and it was pretty good and a very big portion. The service is pretty fast and the restaurant has ample room to eat there. I recommend this restaurant especially if you are looking into having a quick Chinese lunch or dinner. I would say that the cuisine is more Americanized than traditional but very tasty. They also have a Thai and Hibachi menu but I haven't tried it out yet. read more

Ordered pad Thai and veggie pad see ew. Both were probably the worst Thai dishes I've ever tasted. Pad Thai was drenched in oil and teriyaki sauce, THATS IT for the sauces. Making it very sweet and none edible. The pad see ew was very dry and had no flavor outside of some sweet sauce but still very dry. No egg either but some bean sprouts which don't even go with pad see ew. I did order some white hibachi sauce for a dollar and it was so runny and flavorless... the only good thing was the fires because they were fresh but those had no flavor either. Overall, they'll never have to worry about my money coming through there again. Hate that there are NO GOOD thai options that deliver downtown. read more

This trip I got chicken mei fun and was disappointed. It was very dry and had very little veggies in it. The wonton soup was good as usual. The amount of food you get is good, but for the first time, some of mine went in the garbage...even adding some of the wonton soup, it was just not very flavorful. Something was missing for sure. Really enjoyed my Spicy Basil Chicken lunch loaded with peppers and onions, served with a decent fried rice. Liked the bottled Ginger Water drink option. Disliked the super thin plastic fork and that no knives were available. Next time I would probably do take-out and use my own utensils. Asian Garden is our go-to Chinese spot. They have great traditional American Chinese food (I'm partial to the lo mein and egg drop soup), but where they really excel is with their Thai menu. My husband's favorite is the Spicy Basil Chicken, and mine is the Thai Shrimp Curry. Both dishes are just so flavorful, and they both include a generous helping of meat and veggies. We used to order a lot from this place, but we won't be coming here any more.On our last visit they gave us the wrong order, which is okay, everyone can make a mistake. The issue we have is that we took the food home and then brought it back and we saw how they re-packed the food to give to someone else instead of throwing it away. I wouldn't want them to give me food that left the store and then was brought back. One never knows what could have happened to the food if it was someone else getting a wrong order and they took it home and brought it back. Yesterday was my first visit to Asian Garden. I was having a flat tire fixed at Discount Tire, in the same shopping center; so I walked over for lunch. $5.65 for the General Tso's Chicken lunch special, and it was the best General TSO's Chicken I've had in a very long time! A large helping of the spicy chicken, a big pile of fried rice, a couple pieces of steamed broccoli (got have some healthy in there), and a small bowl of Won Ton soup.. for only $5.65! And it was all very good. The only downside was the Wake County Health Score of 92.. but then it seems all Asian restaurants have a problem with the health scores. Walking back to Discount Tire, I passed a pub with a chalk-board sign on the sidewalk, advertising Potato Skins for $7.95! Yea.. right, when I can get a great lunch for $5.65? read more

After 3 years of searching, FINALLY we've found our go-to Asian delivery. I had Szechuan beef. It was tender tasty good quality beef and veggies in a nicely spiced sauce.
