Came here as we were driving through the location, i was a bit skeptical as i have allergies to egg and shrimp so wasnt too sure if i would get a good non veg option. But this did not disappoint entirely. We ordered the crab rangoons, soup dumplings and kung pao chicken.. along with small sake. while the rangoons and the kung pao were outstanding, the soup dumplings left us very disappointed. the service is super quick and the ambiance is decent.. good quality food for sure in a cute neighborhood. Should def try.

Taipei 101 is in downtown Cary, and on a Saturday night it was tough to find parking. We ended up circling the on-street spots on the block a few times before ending up in the larger lot on Waldo & Walker (although we still had to tail folks who were leaving!). The restaurant itself also gets pretty busy, with a cluster of folks waiting for takeout orders just inside the door and large groups packed tightly in until you need to squeeze between chairs to get through. The staff's attitude and the layout of the restaurant nail the authentic feel. Come hungry and know exactly what you plan to order, and the dishes start flying out of the kitchen. There's a wide variety here with plenty of authentic dishes. The fan favorites are the Japanese style crispy tofu and cumin lamb; we also ordered mongolian beef, tripe, honey walnut shrimp, ma po tofu, bok choy and mushrooms, Singapore rice noodles, and chicken fried rice. The white rice is also complimentary and comes in a heaping bowl (rather than the ultra-common red rice container). The crispy tofu has been a hit every time and place I've tried it, so it was no surprise to me that our group enjoyed it so much. It was less crispy than in other variations (where it comes out sizzling still) but the texture difference with the smooth tofu inside was still great. I also really enjoyed our second tofu dish. I'm a huge fan of Singapore rice noodles, and these did the job fine. These varied slightly from the standard, which comes with pork. The noodles themselves were a bit too soft and with a lighter, more muted seasoning; even those who don't like curry could enjoy these. The fried rice also surprised me by being much more heavily colored by soy sauce than I'd expect, and generally was just average compared to some of the other dishes. Both carbs were served on plates the same size as everything else, so the ratio of portion size is slightly smaller than what I typically see.

Visited with my family of 8. Parking in this area can be challenging depending on the day. We were immediately greeted and seated. The round tables offered ample space. The service was quick and pleasant. The food is authentic and spot on. The portions for the price are generous. We took home leftovers. We got 3 apps, a rice dish, a noodle dish, and 6 entrees. We would return!

4.5 I haven't been here in a long time and I have no idea why I haven't. The food was very good in the past and remains very good now. I can't speak to the Chinese-American dishes, but the traditional Chinese dishes are great. The spicy fish soup was the star. This large unassuming bowl was packed with thick chunks of mild fish filets, preserved vegetables, and bean thread noodles. The light broth, while definitely spicy, was not so spicy that it hid multiple layers of flavor. Two of us shared the fish and a plate of lotus root with pork belly and still left with a full quart of fish and broth. The service was warm and friendly with multiple servers checking in on us multiple times. The restaurant does not accept AMEX which is not unusual for Chinese restaurants. This being downtown Cary parking is a challenge. If you don't mind walking a few blocks, though, you should be fine.

Our faves have been going strong with the griddle chicken being our #1! This time the potatoes in the griddle chicken were sliced a little too thinly so almost was like chips but taste was We also tried their garlic pork this time (spicy) and pork egg roll! Pork dish so saucy and yum one of the best pork dishes according to my husband! Our server was really nice, service was very quick too! We did go on a weekday afternoon so it wasn't very packed but did have a few patrons. This time we did get an upset stomach which has never happened in the many times we've been there so really hope it was an off day!

I asked to get food from here for my birthday dinner- that's how much I love their food!! Very authentic and tasty. My Chinese boyfriend's family orders from here several times a year. Their house fried rice and house lo mein are my go-tos, but if you're feeling adventurous, I would recommend the Chong Qing Spicy Chicken!! It's a spicy but has an incredible flavor. Since they're so good, they are often busy so we usually order our food to go. The staff are always friendly every time we visit!

A solid Chinese food choice, and the authenticity is clear in their dishes. The service is fast and attentive. The food is quite rich and full of flavor. The Dan Dan noodles and the scallion beef pancake were delicious. The hubs tried the special fried rice also and loved it. I was stuffed, as the portions were great and we had leftovers. Although, it's located in a bustling area, there's a parking lot and street parking available.

We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and we seated right away. Staff was friendly and attentive. Restaurant has an older feel but was clean. They do not have a lunch menu so be prepared to pay dinner prices. I ordered vegetables and mushrooms. The sauce was full of flavor, but it was just bok choy and mushrooms. My husband ordered a beef dish, which was a big portion and very spicy.

Taipei 101 is one of my favorite restaurants in the area. Whenever I get a craving for Szechuan food, I immediately head over! The best thing to get here is the Spicy Stir Fry. It's a delicious, tongue-numbing stir fry of beef, potato, lotus root, seaweed, and shrimp. It comes in a massive portion so be prepared to split it! If you're feeling like getting a smaller entree, their Cumin Lamb or Deep Fried Garlic Pork Ribs are also really good. Their Scallion Roasted Beef Pancake Roll, Boiled Chicken with Szechuan Chili Oil, and Beef Filet with Tripe are good for appetizers/sides. For vegetables, I love getting their Chinese vegetable which chopped garlic and dry-sauteed green beans. Go check them out for some authentic Szechuan food!

Delicious Taiwanese restaurant in Cary! We ordered takeout online. Our order was ready and accurate upon arrival. We ordered homestyle tofu, sweet and sour chicken, and chicken fried rice. Each of the items tasted as we hoped and we were impressed by the portion size. Note that the sweet and sour chicken is already mixed with the sauce unlike other local Asian restaurants. Overall, great choice for Asian cuisine in Cary.

This is my sister's family's go to place after church almost every Sunday and we join them every time we are visiting. They have the BEST food and service and accommodates very large parties quite easily. The only negative is their very limited parking lot, though you should be able to find street parking fairly easily. Every dish we have ordered has come out very well prepared and tasty. Their fried rices and Lomein are always delicious staples. You cannot go wrong coming here for lunch or dinner!

    Pork Belly was delish!
    Toshi I.

Large portions! Too much for the two of us, so I'm glad we only ordered two dishes and there was a lot of leftovers to take home. Oh and the food is really tasty. We ordered the Pork Belly and the Griddle Chicken. The Pork Nelly was delicious. I don't think I've ever had "Griddle" anything and don't know how to describe this dish. It's not stir fry. Maybe it's braised chicken with thinly sliced potatoes in this dish. It's enough for a while family! We must have gone early enough as it wasn't crowded at all. The service was pretty good and our order arrived fairly quickly. I will for sure be back to try other dishes here.

We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

It was easily enough for two people, maybe even three, and we came with a hearty appetite. We chose the bone broth, loaded up on fresh vegetables, and ordered the incredible sweet rice cakes, which are deep fried, dusted with brown sugar, and served with a rich brown sugar dipping sauce. We also tried the marinated beef and grilled chicken, both of which were tender and flavorful. The menu explains the spice levels really clearly, and there is a full sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauce, so whether you like mild or super spicy, it is completely up to you. We went around 4 PM, and there were already four or five other parties. By the time we were finishing up, it was getting really busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it is probably best to come earlier. The Deets: I have come back to this restaurant recently for both delivery and eating in there. When I order for delivery, I go with their House Special Lo Mein that contains chicken, beef, and shrimp but I usually ask to skip the shrimp. This order is a good portion for delivery and pretty tasty, it remains one of my delivery go-to choices. My last in-house visit was a good one as well, being greeted promptly upon entering and sat with menu ready to peruse. The restaurant itself was bright and well decorated (beautiful back and side walls) but not overly adorned, a nice comfortable balance for a shopping area restaurant. Being a bit hungry, I went with two starters in ordering a fried spring roll as well as steamed pork dumplings. I enjoyed both starters, no notes, nice. For my main entree, I chose their chicken with cashew menu selection. It came as a generous portion with adequate amount of chicken and many, many cashews as well as a good amount of vegetables cooked just right. The sauce was flavorful and worked well with all components, I enjoyed it. Service during the visit was pleasant and checked on me periodically as well as kept my water filled as needed. I like Szechuan Garden as a local choice for Chinese meals and will continue to enjoy them in the future.

Parking was easy, we waited a bit outside even though we had a reservation, but that's ok- they're popular! We were definitely seated within 15 minutes of arriving, and the server came outside well before that with the iPad to explain how everything worked. We were all new to the experience! We opted for a Louisiana style broth that was flavorful and creamy, and a beef broth which was a little bit spicy (other reviews warned about the spice levels, so I was prepared!). We could have gotten up to four broths, but I'm glad we stuck to two- any more would have been overwhelming and as it was I had trouble deciding what meat and veg to dunk in which broth. We selected a bunch of veggie, meat and noodles, and were still passing the iPad around as we were led to our table. There are two "levels," a $28 per person and a $40 per person. I believe the $40 per person came with a nicer cut of steak and more seafood options, as well as drinks like Boba. At the end of our meal I asked our group if anyone would have done anything differently as far as our experience and everyone said they would have gone for the $40 option so we could have had scallops! For the first time, I found the $28 option great because we were just getting the hang of it. I will say the sauce bar was highly spoken of in other reviews, so I eagerly got some, but hardly used it at all because the broth was so delicious on its own! Some of my favorite items were steak (I'd pass on the chicken next time), bok choy (we ordered more of this!) and mushrooms. Also we tried the glass noodles, udon and hand pulled and they were all delicious and fun to eat- I can't pick a favorite of those! Oh, and the spring rolls were a great starter. Some folks in our group enjoyed the spam and some other items, and it didn't feel too difficult to stay away from those bits if others of us were not interested. I'm only taking off a star because the "system went down" and the iPad stopped working for everyone in the restaurant. So although it is technically all you can eat, we had trouble ordering more. Since it was our first time, we couldn't remember everything in the menu to request more, and we didn't want to over order at the beginning so we probably went a little light. Thus, I didn't leave feeling as full as I would have liked. I think I saw others on Yelp mention delicious desserts, but we couldn't see them since the iPad wasn't working. They had a freezer case of ice cream but it looked like school cafeteria quality (vanilla, chocolate, strawberry) so we skipped it. Kind of a bummer way to end the meal. But I can't really fault them for having technical issues, although they could have had a backup paper menu to show us. In sum, I really enjoyed this meal and would go back in a heartbeat! Such a fun time, especially for a group.

My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. The rice cakes were good but not the best we've tried. It's something we'd order again though. The delicious smells wafting through the restaurant immediately let me know that I was in the right place. I ordered the Fatty Beef Szechuan Hotpot Yunnan Rice Noodle & Fried Dumplings. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. They were truly bouncy in with every bite, silky smooth, tender but with a little bit of bite to them. I ate every morsel that I could fit in my stomach and not explode... this was the perfect winter dish for this South Florida eater.

Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

The broth was rich and balanced, the pork was tender, and the toppings--bok choy, beansprouts, bamboo, onions, nori, and that perfectly seasoned egg--brought everything together beautifully. I did ask them to cut the meat up but they were "not able" to accommodate that request. Every bite felt warm, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and energetic. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away from how good the food was. If you're craving a great bowl of ramen in a lively atmosphere, Noodle Boulevard is absolutely worth the stop.
