Best Chinese I've had since I moved to North Carolina 7.5 years ago !! Great variety and wonderful Szechuan dishes! Most of the dishes show a spicy , don't let that scare you, the dishes have the perfect amount of spice, not overwhelming, we ordered everything that you see in the picture, no complaints at all ! Price was also reasonable. I am recommending this place to everyone I know !! I wish it was closer to my place !

Ordered takeout via UberEats and have to say really impressed! The salt and pepper ribs were probably my favorite as seen by the half eaten bowl before I remembered to take a photo (oops!) the spicy chicken was also flavorful but the trick with this and any fried item is to toss in the air fryer as soon as you receive it that way you can eat it crispy. The string beans were a little average but if you are Chinese like me they are a staple and pretty much the go-to vegetable I get for takeout because hard to mess up. The cold spicy beef tendon was very meaty which was good. It's always a little bit of a surprise how restaurants do the spicy beef and if there is a lot of beef, tendon or tripe, this one was all beef very little tripe. ALSO forgot to take a photo of my egg roll which was delicious 10/10 For the RTP/ Cary area this is probably one or two on my list now! I have Chinese takeout at least once every 2 weeks :)

We were hesitant due to the 3.5 star rating but this was the only place among others we'd wanted to try (Nice Bowls, C&T Wok) that was open for lunch at 3.30pm on a Tuesday. We're so glad we tried it! We ordered everything with less salt and less oil and it was perfect for me though my husband would've been fine with the usual salt and oil (that's what makes it Sichuan food he says). Dan Dan noodles - 5 stars I finally know what this is supposed to taste like! Having tried recipes out at home since buying some sesame paste, I found my own to have too strong of a sesame flavour. This, on the other hand, has really good umami from the pickled vegetables (ya mi sui cai I think) with just a touch of the sesame flavour. So good! Fried stuffed eggplant - 3 stars We hadn't realised this would be deep fried with a thick battered exterior. All 3 of us felt the batter was too filling. I thought it tasted like old oil. The stuffing wasn't very flavorful even though there's sauce to add. Wouldn't order this again. Mala xiang guo, 小辣/small spice - 4.5 stars They gave us so many ingredients! Ample beef, squid and prawns. I personally don't eat much meat and wish there were more vegetables. The lotus root was deliciously crisp and there was a smattering of potatoes and bok choy. The flavouring was spot on. I did think the beef had too much meat tenderiser though. I'd try to get this with much more vegetables if I got it again since I'm used to all vegetable mala xiang guo pots in Singapore. Not a fan of the meats. I think I could've handled 中辣 medium spice. Service - 5 stars The best service we've had in a legit Chinese restaurant! Really excited to go back to try other dishes!

Wow it's surprisingly very good Chinese restaurant that I just discovered today!! It's authentic Chinese food. The price maybe a bit to high but if you do lunch special is good price!!!

We've been coming here numerous times for the last year. All the foods, apps and soups we've ordered were good. Good size portions as well.

Lots of options to chose from. Great flavor! Small inside and always busy but that means the food is good. Another one on my go to list.

We enjoyed so many different dishes - hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, hand pulled noodles with beef, kung Pao chicken, cumin beef, beef with vegetables, crag rangoon, and pork dumplings. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

We really wanted a good Asian meal, and not typical takeout, so we got on the Yelp app while traveling through Raleigh, and found this place not too far of our route in Cary. It's in an international themed shopping center a bit off the main drag, and honestly, the vibes hit us just right from the moment we got out of the car. You walk in and you can see the cooks at work to the left, the restaurant is bright with lots of blue and a large mural to the right. We got immediate service, the menu is large and daunting. There is anything here from more typical Chinese American cuisine, all the way into more esoteric options for the experienced eater. We ordered a bit of both, starting with some simple steam pork dumplings, beef lo mein, and an order of hot pot pepper chicken. Everything came out mostly together, with the hot pot chicken served in a wok, keeping things steaming. Everything tasted and looked exceptional. The dumplings were a lovely texture, with plenty of meat filling the pockets. Beef lo mein was a top notch versioin of the takeout classic, with a tangy flavor and a good amount of meat. All that said, the hot pot pepper chicken absolutely stole the show! This was a robust dish, plenty here for a meal plus leftovers first off, but beyond the perfectly crispy outside and tender inside chicken pieces, we really got into the sliced cauliflower and veggie mixture. Over a bit of rice, this is a dish we won't be able to resist again, not that the others weren't an easy re-order as well. This spot will be on our minds everytime we head into or through this area from now on. Thanks for making it a top notch road stop Chengdu 7!

It was easily enough for two people, maybe even three, and we came with a hearty appetite. We chose the bone broth, loaded up on fresh vegetables, and ordered the incredible sweet rice cakes, which are deep fried, dusted with brown sugar, and served with a rich brown sugar dipping sauce. We also tried the marinated beef and grilled chicken, both of which were tender and flavorful. The menu explains the spice levels really clearly, and there is a full sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauce, so whether you like mild or super spicy, it is completely up to you. We went around 4 PM, and there were already four or five other parties. By the time we were finishing up, it was getting really busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it is probably best to come earlier. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is attentive, and this place is perfect for a date night or a fun group dinner. We highly recommend Szechuan Mansion Hotpot.

Happy to report:…read moreTaipei 101 in Cary is still holding it down as one of the most reliable Chinese spots in the RTP area. We kicked things off with the hot & sour soup and Szechuan cold noodles--both excellent. The soup had that perfect balance of tangy heat without going overboard, and the cold noodles brought a nice punch of spice and sesame that woke up the palate. For mains, we went with the beef chow fun and salt & pepper squid. The chow fun had that slightly smoky, charred flavor you want with tender beef and well-seasoned noodles that weren't greasy. The squid was crispy, lightly battered, and tossed with just the right amount of salt, pepper, and aromatics--super addictive. Every dish hit. No misses, no filler--just solid, satisfying Chinese food done right. It's always a good sign when a place still delivers years later, and Taipei 101 definitely does.

The vegetable lo mein was just as underwhelming, with only a small amount of carrots, scallions, and broccoli, lacking real flavor while somehow being overly salty. We also ordered the eggplant with basil, but the sauce was thick, overly sticky, and tasted more like sugar than anything else. I can't understand how this could be considered authentic. We had visited this restaurant about ten years ago, and the quality has clearly declined since then.

I've always been curious about it and saw all of the "four star reviews" I got an order from them last night via Uber eats. I live so close the delivery was prompt and right on time and the food was hot so no complaints there. However, I have to say, it is the worst Chinese food I have ever had in my life and I've had pretty bad Chinese food! I got the shrimp fried rice and the Mongolian beef and basically, they both look like there were "soaked" in soy sauce. Very salty. Flavorless except for the soy sauce and absolutely disgusting! The picture of those two dishes, of course looks delicious and the fried rice is the exact right color in the picture, sort of a yellowish color from small amounts of soy sauce or sauce. When mine came, it was actually dark brown in color and just sopping wet with soy sauce. Same thing for the Mongolian beef. This food was not only bad, it was probably one of the worst things I ever put in my mouth and I would absolutely never ever order from there again and surely would not go there for a sitdown meal. It was disgusting! I'm still struggling to understand why there were so many three star and four star reviews for this restaurant in my meal came out so badly and so awful. I remain perplexed. No apologies for this one star review. It was awful. PS-I would've added some photos of the food for proof, but it was so disgusting. The delicious smells wafting through the restaurant immediately let me know that I was in the right place. I ordered the Fatty Beef Szechuan Hotpot Yunnan Rice Noodle & Fried Dumplings. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. They were truly bouncy in with every bite, silky smooth, tender but with a little bit of bite to them. I'm honestly not a big fan of the rice noodles but they went well with the broth. My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. The rice cakes were good but not the best we've tried. It's something we'd order again though.
