Delish - no frills, food was quick and so fresh. Service was friendly and it's so nice that you can order everything from your phone and pay from your phone. It's set so you can continue ordering as well. Very casual atmosphere perfect for a group or solo dinner. Staff was so kind, welcoming, and appreciative. The food pictured speaks for itself. Executed perfectly. Handmade dumplings for the win!

Nice clean restaurant with a slightly modern flair. Friendly and responsive staff. Food is good but overpriced IMO. Value highlights include the Crab Rangoon and Pork Soup Dumplings (be careful when eating these piping hot pockets of joy). Other entrees we ate included the Scallion Beef (meh), Beef Chow Fun (Great but small portion for the price) and Salt & Pepper Shrimp (pretty tasty with a good fry). The fried rice was not great. Other than the Xaio along Bao, Crab Rangoon, and the hot tea which i would go back for, I think its competitor in the adjacent plaza is a far superior choice especially if you are on a budget. The portions just aren't comparable.

The food is delicious and fresh! Great service and a very clean restaurant. The owners are very sweet and make everything in house.

Decent place! Price is a bit high for the quantity. I paid 16$ for this chicken entree and it isn't full to the top.... This was our only complaint but this place is legit! 50$ for 4 items! Taste is good just not happy about quantity but hey we are from southern CA so it's hard to beat that. The flavors are all very good!! Noodles are hand made! We got the general TSO, soup dumplings, kung pao very good! The Beijing beef noodle is also very good! Fast service, good people, friendly! We will be back to dine in

My new favorite place. The outside is so unassuming but the inside is beautiful and airy and clean. The people working are friendly and inviting. And most of all, the food is so delicious. I tried their soup dumplings and Beijing meat noodles. The soup dumplings had thin skin and was full of soup. Very delicious. The noodles were qq and generous with the meat sauce.

This place seems pretty unassuming but was so good. You order at a kiosk but if you elect to dine in, they'll bring you the food and drinks. This place gave such a nostalgic vibe, it reminded me of the meals my family would make, growing up in a Chinese household. You can see them making the dumplings in front of you and all the staff are so nice and welcoming, it truly felt like being transported to my childhood. The food options were also very classic and again contributed to that feeling of nostalgia. I tried the pork scallion oil noodles, the pork and chive dumplings, egg fried rice and tea eggs. They all tasted very home-y and evoked all the feelings that come with eating a nice wholesome meal with your family. I think that the food was not necessarily out of this world or stood out but it was very classic and traditional in a way that makes it more special than if it had been unique. The atmosphere was so nice that even though I got take-out the first time, I felt compelled to come back and sit in just to soak in the vibes. This might just be an experience unique to me but I think that other Asian Americans might also be able to relate. On another note, I do think some of the prices were a little steep for what it was but alas.

Honestly would give it 2 stars but the extra star is because I don't want to be an a-hole. We all felt misled by the high ratings online. I feel like the majority of reviews are fake because many of them have no photo and only a singular review and just for this restaurant. We tried the chicken stir fried noodles and the pork noodles, the chicken stir fry, soup dumplings, pork dumplings, and pork bao. I also ordered the jia jiang mian which I thought was the highlight of the meal. My husband thought the spicy oil wontons were the highlight but I didn't like them bc I felt like it was a bit undercooked on the outside. We also didn't like how thick the dumpling wrappers were. The majority of the food was bland and or overcooked. Every single one of the soup dumplings broke apart before anybody could even taste it. All the soup fell through the holes of the steamer basket and onto the plate below. If you see the photo I shared you can see how stuck and how overdone they were. Super disappointed. The kids didn't mind the food but also were conveniently "full" pretty quickly after we began eating. The service is attentive however and I do like that you order your food through a kiosk. It's convenient. You won't have any trouble getting a table. I had made a reservation but it wasn't needed whatsoever nor were we asked about if we had a reservation. They double checked the order before sending it out to the kitchen which was nice. All of the decor was exactly the same as the previous restaurant that was at this location (door to door). That place was much better so I'm surprised that it didn't survive. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things but I felt like we ordered a very large variety of items. I wonder what kind of restaurant will be here next year.

This is a very new restaurant in the Chatham Square area and - unusually for our area - features Northeastern Chinese food. Food in the north of China favors wheat over rice so housemade dumplings and noodles are featured. I still need to try the dumplings but the noodles are very good. Excellent chew and "bounce" even if the spicy sesame sauce wasn't spicy at all. Very flavorful, especially when you get some of the preserved vegetable, just not spicy. The black fungus was just okay. It needed a lot more vinegar. The pork cubes in gravy was slightly divisive. The dish was very well prepared and presented but I feel that it just wasn't my taste. My partner absolutely loved it though, and thought very highly of it. Ordering can be slightly baffling. It's done from a kiosk and if this will be your first visit do yourself a favor and familiarize yourself with the menu before you arrive. Rice costs extra and you may or may not need it depending on what you order and to what you're accustomed. Service is very friendly and the family who owns Beijing Cafe genuinely wants you to enjoy their food. They're happy to answer questions, provide suggestions, or just chat about their experiences. The restaurant itself is small, clean, and cute with bar seating and both indoor and outdoor tables. Their menu is concise but I'm sure the dumplings and noodles will be the stars.

Came back to try a few more dishes & Beijing Cafe did not disappoint! I love the mom & pop atmosphere. You could definitely tell that it's family run. Food is very good as expected. Found out they had yiao tiel (fired crullers) after we already ordered. I asked our server to put an order in for us & they gave it to us gratis.

I so very much wanted to be able to have more stars but the food (out of our party of 3) was a unanimous why did we spend almost a hundred bucks for this?!? We chose this place because of the family-owned aspect and "authentic Chinese" boasted. Nothing really hit. The fried rice was dry and over soy-sauced. The Sesame Chicken was dripping with sauce, but had a decent flavor. The Shanghai Noodle were in 2 giant clumps (also dry) and curried to kingdom come. The scallion pancakes and dumplings were sadly unimpressive, likewise, dry and somegow flavorless. The ponzu sauce was nice though (used that on everything the little bit supplied would allow). The spicy shredded potato was crunchy and undercooked with cilantro, which was unexpected. I'm happy to be able to say that the white rice was nice and sticky! Glad we snagged a couple of those! Unassuming no frills counter order service. We always like to try new places while traveling as we only have a few days and all of the options, so this was very disappointing.

So excited to have a new authentic Chinese place in town! We ordered their beef dumplings and their pork soup dumplings for takeout. Our food was ready on time, and was still warm by the time we got home. You definitely get a good amount of dumplings for the price. The dumplings were soft and full of flavor, though I preferred the beef dumplings over the soup dumplings. My brother ordered the meat sauce noodle dish and said it tasted very light (not spicy), he really enjoyed it. Highly recommend if you're interested in trying some northern Chinese food!

Reasonable prices for authentic Beijing Northern Chinese cuisine. The noodles are made by hand right in front of you. Their noodles are superb. Excellent texture with the perfect amount of firmness and chewiness that the sauce just sticks to. We got the spicy sesame sauce noodles. I prefer my noodles spicier so I had to ask for an extra side of chili oil. 7.5/10 We also got the Beijing meat sauce noodles (炸酱面). The flavor was authentic but I wish there was about 20% more sauce since my mom usually makes it a bit saltier at home. This place is on the level of some of the northern chinese places in Flushing but somehow in Cary. 9/10 The dumplings are pretty good. Tastes just like a good homemade dumpling. Nothing bad to say. 8/10 The spicy shredded potatoes are fantastic. Crunchy, knifework is top notch for the perfect texture. The sauce with this is salty, savory, sour and spicy. 9/10 Overall, I would encourage other people to come here to try out these authentic flavors and keep this business open as you can't get this flavor unless you fly to New York or all the way to China.

Food is bland and greasy at the same time. It is counter order and then food is brought to the table when ready. Lots of sugar in the sauce and flavorings lack depth .

We really wanted a good Asian meal, and not typical takeout, so we got on the Yelp app while traveling through Raleigh, and found this place not too far of our route in Cary. It's in an international themed shopping center a bit off the main drag, and honestly, the vibes hit us just right from the moment we got out of the car. You walk in and you can see the cooks at work to the left, the restaurant is bright with lots of blue and a large mural to the right. We got immediate service, the menu is large and daunting. There is anything here from more typical Chinese American cuisine, all the way into more esoteric options for the experienced eater. We ordered a bit of both, starting with some simple steam pork dumplings, beef lo mein, and an order of hot pot pepper chicken. Everything came out mostly together, with the hot pot chicken served in a wok, keeping things steaming. Everything tasted and looked exceptional. The dumplings were a lovely texture, with plenty of meat filling the pockets. Beef lo mein was a top notch versioin of the takeout classic, with a tangy flavor and a good amount of meat. All that said, the hot pot pepper chicken absolutely stole the show! This was a robust dish, plenty here for a meal plus leftovers first off, but beyond the perfectly crispy outside and tender inside chicken pieces, we really got into the sliced cauliflower and veggie mixture. Over a bit of rice, this is a dish we won't be able to resist again, not that the others weren't an easy re-order as well. This spot will be on our minds everytime we head into or through this area from now on. Thanks for making it a top notch road stop Chengdu 7!

For mains, we went with the beef chow fun and salt & pepper squid. The chow fun had that slightly smoky, charred flavor you want with tender beef and well-seasoned noodles that weren't greasy. The squid was crispy, lightly battered, and tossed with just the right amount of salt, pepper, and aromatics--super addictive. Every dish hit. Food: I order the yin/yang broth: one medium spiced tallo which is the traditional broth and the other either just bone broth until they came out with new organic mushroom broth! It is so good. You can order many different type of meat, seafood and veggies. I order prime thin beef, pork belly, quail eggs , wide noodles as standard and add others depending on mood. Shrimp and beef paste is a must. You can also order combination that includes appetizers, meat, veggie plates. There's sauce bar you can make your own sauce according to your preference. Since this is not AYCE, you can take the left overs. Service: service is good most of the time but once in a while you run into slow service. Price: reasonable.

It was easily enough for two people, maybe even three, and we came with a hearty appetite. We chose the bone broth, loaded up on fresh vegetables, and ordered the incredible sweet rice cakes, which are deep fried, dusted with brown sugar, and served with a rich brown sugar dipping sauce. We also tried the marinated beef and grilled chicken, both of which were tender and flavorful. The menu explains the spice levels really clearly, and there is a full sauce bar where you can mix your own dipping sauce, so whether you like mild or super spicy, it is completely up to you. We went around 4 PM, and there were already four or five other parties. By the time we were finishing up, it was getting really busy, so if you prefer a quieter experience, it is probably best to come earlier. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is attentive, and this place is perfect for a date night or a fun group dinner. We highly recommend Szechuan Mansion Hotpot.

The delicious smells wafting through the restaurant immediately let me know that I was in the right place. I ordered the Fatty Beef Szechuan Hotpot Yunnan Rice Noodle & Fried Dumplings. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. They were truly bouncy in with every bite, silky smooth, tender but with a little bit of bite to them. I ate every morsel that I could fit in my stomach and not explode... this was the perfect winter dish for this South Florida eater.

The quail egg was the heart of it. Got the bone broth this time. While the broth is good, it's not great to the point I'd crave for this. I'm honestly not a big fan of the rice noodles but they went well with the broth. My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. The rice cakes were good but not the best we've tried. It's something we'd order again though. For 2 people, we ended up spending around $50, including tips, so reasonably priced but not as satisfying as a dim sum dinner. | Overall Score: | Overall Score: 4.1/5
