OMG BEST seabass of my life. Great service. Awesome salmon device appetizer. Nice ambiance. 2nd time, and we will come back.

Wow is mainly what I can say. I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine generally, but Bida Manda has been one of the more unique experiences I've had with Asian food in quite some time. The two times I went recently, it was a packed house, so reservations are definitely recommended. There's plenty of street parking within a close walk of the restaurant. We ordered the chicken wings, lettuce wraps, and the pork belly soup. All of them were packed full of flavor and prepared to perfection. The chicken wings had an incredible, almost tempura-like batter to them. And the pork belly soup - omg - there's a reason it's the dish they most recommend. I will definitely be back!

Phenomenal crispy lettuce wraps! Honestly that was such a standout dish. We also had the papaya salad with dill and trout, and the pad lao. Both were fine, but are not dishes that I see myself craving in the future. Also had the mango purple sticky rice, which was solid. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or time with friends; the lighting is bit on the dimmer side but the place is tastefully decorated. Service was good, no complaints there!

I enjoyed the lettuce wraps. I did not enjoy the Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both dishes tasted like spaghetti instead of authentic Thai flavored food. The shrimp were also small. The ambience was cozy and colorful. However, the loud noise from chairs scooting on the floors, the closeness of adjacent tables, and the noise level disturbed my peace. I may return again for the lettuce wraps and Lao ice coffee. Service was great. This is a small restaurant, and is it not suitable for large groups or quiet romantic dining.

Back for more!! I stop in for a meal every time I'm in town. Super chill spot close to downtown hotels with light jazz playing quietly overhead. Low lighting and candles adorn the interior. I had dinner and chose the Sweet Chili Salmon again as it was so good last time around. Tonight did not disappoint. The salmon was perfectly cooked and served with lime vinaigrette herb salad and jasmine rice. Service is always so pleasant from the warm welcome at the door through the prompt and polite delivery of their amazing dishes. I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in town. great experience here. had a lovely server, quick service and the ambiance was delightful. we started off with the lettuce wraps which were so refreshing and delicious, I'd give it an 8/10. We wanted to try the spring rolls but we are students on a budget so our waiter suggested those. We got the salmon which was the best thing we ate! 10/10! It was perfectly cooked and warm. The sauce was great as well and I liked that it was a little crispy on the top. I got the pad thai with chicken which was okay! Probably a 7/10! It was good but I think if I came again I would go for a different dish. The curry also looked delicious as well. We ended the meal with a palate cleanser and they brought out a little agar agar dessert to celebrate a promotion! Very nice of them.

This is the perfect spot for a romantic date night. The restaurant has a warm and cozy feel. Just don't sit too close to the door, the cold breeze is VERY strong. The waiter started by telling us the love story of the owners and their wedding photo is displayed when you first walk in. Super cute ! The Crispy Pork Belly Soup Dinner was delicious. Perfect curry tasty and the crispy pork belly had a nice crunch. Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection.

The food at Bida Panda is close to perfection - everything is so delicious. I've visited multiple times now, and each dish is full of spice and flavor. Some favorites are the Green Papaya Salad (must have!), lettuce wraps (must have!), crispy pork belly soup, sea bass, and purple rice with mango. Each bite is so delicious, and we rave every time! On top of that, customer service is top notch. The staff are so kind and patient, accommodating to food allergies. They've accommodated to paleo diet, gluten and dairy allergies, etc. Additionally, they often give treats for birthdays, and it isn't uncommon for the staff to just give a free appetizer or dessert, just because! In terms of parking, there's street parking just down the road with a few minute walk. The restaurant is beautifully decorated; cozy but not too tight.

Simply THE BEST LAO ICED COFFEE I've ever had. I loved the combination of rich bold coffee with sweet condensed milk. It gave me the perfect jolt of energy i needed to seize the day. The Café Cabana tasted like an espresso martini combined with a chocolate dipped banana (in the best way). It was a fantastic brunch cocktail and was like drinking a fluffy cloud. The service was amazing from start to finish and the atmosphere was very intimate which I enjoyed. I can't wait to go back with friends

The restaurant was beautiful!! The little attention to details made the atmosphere perfect for friend hangouts, date night, or family gatherings We didn't have reservations and we got lucky with quick seating, and attentive service with great food recs! The fried rice sounds basic BUT I'm still thinking about that dish! Unique gluten free options made everyone at the table experience a great meal!!

5 stars across the board. Friendly staff from host to server and management. Inspired menu and cozy atmosphere. A few standouts include: crispy pork belly soup, salmon ceviche (so good!), and sea bass.

This place was a gem. It was quiet (on a Sunday afternoon), our server was helpful, patient & kind, the spring rolls & sauce were SOO GOOD, the rest of the meal was quite nice as well (needed a but more heat for me but great textures & good flavor).

Service was excellent!! Ambiance was nice!! Crispy pork belly soup was a very flavorful dish that we enjoyed, minus the pork cracklings. The belly was a little too crisp. The chicken pad Thai was mediocre. The pina colada was on point!!! Also the delicious macaroons for desert! To good to get a pic

Maybe it's because I lived in Wake Forest, maybe it's because I work there still, IDK, but I've glad I can make up for lost time now. A friend wanted to meet for lunch and suggested this place. Funny thing, he got the orange chicken and didn't really like it. It is VERY orangey. I got one of the other lunch specials, I think maybe the beef basil one. Mine was good, so good in fact that a few weeks later when my family was needing an Asian fix, I sent them to Ni Asian. They were pleased, but got Chinese food. Last week, my daughter and I went, and wow, yes, WOW............I got the noodle dish listed first on menu (not a lunch special), ad it was good, but my daughter got the Pad See Ew, something I have never ordered, being a Drunken Noodle fan myself..........but I tasted hers, and it was so good, I was jealous. So, yeah, we went AGAIN yesterday, she got the Pad See Ew again, and I tried the Drunken Noodles, which were amazing..........not spicy like I'm used to getting, but so flavorful. I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. I ordered the lo mein, bamboo flounder fish, and a side of fried rice. A nice perk of this spot is that it's just a stone's throw away from free and plentiful lot parking. I'd make a reservation if you plan to come here on a weekend for dinner. At the same time, it's not stuffy or overly fancy. The menu is comprehensive with Thai favorites like Pad Thai and Pad See Ew with a large number of Japanese and Sushi items on the back. My friends tried the Thai Spicy level and I will say it was pleasantly hot without burning your tongue off. I ordered the bento box and was really happy with the quality of the sashimi and nigiri. She was so kind and was the absolute best part of our visit. She gave a range recommendations, very professional, and made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy the meal. We are coming from the Irvine, CA area so we VERY familiar with top tier Asian food and possibly that impacted our standards vs others in the review section. Now on to the rest, there were so many flies that I ended up having to smash them on the window with a napkin--just gross! Then, my son's food was not flavored well at all and had HAIR in his noodles! The Pad Thai was really bad! It was a lighter color first of all, so maybe they added an ingredient that isn't standard in traditional Pad Thai, but it did not make it better at all; I could barely stomach it. Then, there was a huge egg shell in the dish that somehow the cook let come out and served to us. The sweet and sour chicken portion was outrageously small for a dinner portion, and the dish was smothered with sauce but somehow the chicken was dry as if it was day old or several days old chicken. The cashew chicken, the same, dry chicken that was being covered up with the sauce and we had to chew a great deal. The sweet tea, it just tasted like they put a bunch of sugar packets in and was worse than a McDonald's sweet tea. Their white rice was not moist at all and we could've just done without it. Out of the sushi we ordered, the spicy tuna was good, but the rest was grocery store quality sushi and extremely small portion. In my opinion, people rave about this place because it is 'different' and plays into an upscale restaurant as you can see with their overpriced items. This place doesn't hold a candle to shopping center Thai fusion in California. I have lived in many states and am not a snotty Californian, but man oh man I can tell you this one is a fail. The only star for this visit goes to the waitress (she was a 5) but if I could give this a zero for the food, I would. Don't waste your time or money.
