Food was amazing and server Austin was awesome. His recommendations were spot on. Will be back.

Everything was really delicious here. It was quite large inside with different decor in different areas which was cool, service decent and big portions of food that was really good. We only tried a couple entrees, the pad Thai and the orange chicken but we are looking forward to coming back and trying other dishes as well, like some of the appetizers. The orange chicken tastes so fresh, like freshly squeezed orange juice on it. It was a little expensive, about $25 per entree, but pretty worth it because the portions were really big. We shared these both and still had some leftover.

One of my favorite thai places, I travel 20 minutes to white oak for it. My go to dishes are the classic pad thai, panang, pad see ew, oob won sen (chef special) and khao soi (chef special). The service is always friendly and accommodating when we bring a large group. The ambiance itself is very relaxing and not loud.

My friends and I decided to try this place out for lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We arrived about 30 minutes after opening and it wasn't crowded at all. However, when we left it was very busy. We chose the Korean BBQ Springrolls as an appetizer. They were tasty, hot, and crunchy. For entrees we had the Chicken Pad Thai, Crab Fried Rice, Duck Red Curry, and Khao Soi. The thicken from the pad thai was tender. There were huge chunks of crab meat in the fried rice. The duck skin was crispy even though it was sitting in the curry. And my Khao Soi was creamy with the right amount of spice. I was pleasantly surprised to find an authentic Thai restaurant with cute decor.

Omg the space was decorated to perfection. Music was on point. Me and hubby love the food and the coconut cake was Soo delicious. I also had the crab fried rice, curry puff and the thai dumplings. Hunny had the pork pad thai.

As always the food was delicious. Don't go if you're in a hurry but if you can sip on anything including just tea or coffee the wait is well worth it. The waitress was very nice and spoke Thai to my wife and Aunt who are from Thailand. Always brings a nice authentic experience for her since our options are limited here. The place was dim lit which personally I love but it's also why some pics aren't that great so sorry about that.

This place is incredible! My mother in law took me and my husband here while she was visiting from Asheville. She said it was some of the best Thai food she's ever had, and from the knowledgeable servers to the amazing food, this spot is top notch. The booth seating is warm and inviting, with modern music playing to hum along to while you enjoy authentic Thai cuisine. When they indicate it's spicy, it is SPICY! My husband got a level 3 out of 10, and while incredibly flavorful, it was HOT. I opted for no spice for mine and it was still incredibly tasty. The drinks to appetizers, entrees, to dessert, this place is a 10/10. We will definitely be back.

I've dined here on several occasions so I feel I have a good sense of the menu now. This is one of the few Thai places that make pad see ew with Chinese broccoli (as it should be). The pad see ew and pad thai are both delicious and flavorful. The Thai iced tea is refreshing and sweet. The red curry chicken is a standout as well. The service has always been very attentive with constant drink refills. The portions are very substantial, we always have leftovers.

We've been back to Mia Bistro multiple times since it opened and it continues to impress! It's so conveniently located in the shopping center so you can stop by after you're done shopping or after catching a movie. It's always difficult to pick what to get from the menu each time because it all sounds so good. My favorite items continue to be the crab fried rice, som tum (papaya salad), and Thai custard dessert. We've also had their Pad Kee Mao and Lad Na (chef's special noodle dish in gravy) which have been so good. I love that they have Thai dishes on their menu that are hard to find at other restaurants, like the Thai custard and Lad Na. It tastes just like home. The ambiance is really nice and service has always been friendly. Mia Bistro is a great place to go for a delicious, slightly upscale lunch or dinner or to host a special event. Go check them out!

Absolutely delightful to enjoy Thai cuisine! It's been difficult to find authentic flavors since the closing of Thai House off Wake Forest Rd, which was my go to for this delicacy! Anyways, back to Mia Bistro...I can't wait to go again! Everything was delicious and reminded me of my time in Thailand which was one of my favorite international destinations I've vacationed at! The food came out in a timely manner, yet service was a bit slow for drink refills (but it was also busy with what appeared to be 3 waiters running the floor). Other than that, it was perfection! The ambiance was ok, just wished they played Thai music instead of pop which threw the vibes off for my psyche! I want to immerse myself in the WHOLE cultural experience when I visit restaurants!

My wife and I just moved up from Tampa Bay, Florida nine months ago. We decided after decades living in crowded cities to move up and out to the country. While we love the area and the tranquility, the dining options are somewhat limited, short of driving north to Raleigh and beyond. One thing I truly missed was Thai food. I spent ten years teaching scuba diving and managing dive resorts, which landed me in Thailand back in the 90's. In the two years I spent working in the resorts of Southern Thailand I fell in love with the incredible variety of dishes we typically never see in US Thai restaurants. When we finally discovered Mia Thai Bistro two weeks ago I was very happily surprised at both the quality of the food as well as the list it items like Khao Soi (Northern Thai Chiang Mai style soup) and Thai Boat Noodles (Kuay Teow Reua). The restaurant is located in White Oak Plaza on Timber Drive in Garner, in a corner unit with plenty of parking on either side. It's also close to the theater in the plaza, making it a great movie and dinner option. The interior is an interesting mix of modern and tropical, with greenery wrapping light fixtures and cool lighting. The food is absolutely the star of the show. Although it's not possible for most Thai restaurants to have access to all the ingredients found in Thailand, Mia Bistros dishes are pretty spot on, and absolutely delicious. So far we have been twice in two weeks and plan to be regular customers. On our first visit I had the Yum Neua Nam Tok (waterfall beef salad) which is my favorite among the Thai meat salads. The flavor was on point and the combination of sour, spicy, and slight sweetness mixed perfectly with the toasted rice powder. My wife, who is newer to Thai food opted for two appetizers, the curry puffs and an interesting non-Thai starter, Korean BBQ beef spring rolls. Both were delicious, with the curry puff featuring a delicate, melt in your mouth pastry. And the spring rolls a wonderful alternative to the standard Thai version. On our second visit last weekend I had the Boat Noodle Soup (Kuay Teow Reua). This was one of my favorite soups when I lived in Thailand and Mia Bistro's version was perfect! Chock full of tender beef in a rich, flavorful broth. My son had Khao Soi, the Chiang Mai noodle soup with chicken in a rich broth flavored with curry. He really enjoyed it. My wife had Salmon Chu Chee which is a curry often served with duck of seafood. She absolutely loved it. We also tried the Laab Gai or chicken salad and the Som Tom or green papaya salad. Both were excellent. It's rare a restaurant becomes an instant favorite, but Mia Thai has done just that. The service is friendly and attentive, the restaurant comfortable, and the food excellent. We will be back soon!

We arrived about 6:30 to 7 and was seating in the dining area by the bar. We were the only ones in there for about 10 mins but were then joined by 4 other tables. We promptly ordered drinks from their fun cocktail menu. However we did not receive our drinks until 30 mins after our appetizers arrived. We asked the waitress and she told us there was a queue, but we had ordered before the other tables joined us. So service could use some work. The food was pretty good. I recommend the drunken noodles (minus the egg- there was so much and it did not taste good) and Korean bbq spring rolls. The coconut cake was also delicious.

This is the second time I've been to this restaurant. The first time I came with friends. I felt like the service was a bit slow. I ordered the crispy pork belly and it was delicious. The second time I came with my family. I had a much better experience. The service was good. We tried a variety of foods - all were delicious. They even had mango sticky rice this time. They were out the time before. I recommend the Nam Tok salad, we had their special crab pad thai, and Thai beef jerky. We also loved the mango sticky rice!

Definitely coming back. Khao Sen has been added to my local Top 10. Very open, bright, and inviting…read moreenviornment. They offer table and booth options with available seating at the bar as well. The "front of the house" are, from what i can tell, an all woman brigade, ranging in ages, and they are all so awsome!! They all bring their own spirited personality. Khao Sen can get busy at times, and these amazing women "get to it". I've seen impatient customers get annoyed after 5 mins of waiting and it's super unfair to this amazing staff. The menu has selective, authentic flavors of Thailand, and every option will have you coming for more. For appetizers we've snacked on the vegetable gyoza (GYO PAK), crispy crab sticks served with sweet chilli sauce (so delicious), Tofu Tod, which i have to emphasize this part. In over 10 years, i've not once taken a second bite when it comes to tofu. Khao Sen has their tofu lighlty battered and fried so deliciously, with their sweet chilli and ground peanuts sauce to dip in. I not only had a second bite but i ate the entire appetizer. Even my vegan friend raves about the Tofu Tod. Ok ok, moving on......ohhh it really is good though, haha. Ok, next we've lip smacked on their steamed dumplings, stuffed with ground pork, shrimp, water chestnuts, onion, scallion, and cilantro, served with a sweet soy sauce (KANOM JEEP).....yes!!!!!. Lets talk chicken wings. Seriously, dang!! Their spicy Thai-style fried chicken wings served with sweet chili sauce (KAI ZAAP) are noise makers. Take a bite and tell me you didn't go "mmMMmm". Making our way on down the list is the tender baby back ribs coated with their southern Thai-style curry paste (SI - KRONG PAD PRIK). These are topped with saffron and very much another delicious option. That's it, we left some still on the menu for next time. Entrees!! I'm between favorites at the moment. The spicy tom yum soup with egg noodles, pork and shrimp dumplings, shrimp, ground pork, fish roll, fish ball, bok choy, cilantro, scallion, crispy wontons, ground peanuts, and fried garlic oil (BA MII TOM YUM) and the northern Thai-style curry, crispy skin chicken thigh, egg noodles, crispy egg noodle, cilantro, scallion, picked radish, shallots, and lime (KHAO SOI). Both are different in flavors but equally devine in their own respects. Now direct your attention to Khao Sen's roasted duck and gravy over rice with steamed Chinese broccoli, pickled ginger, cilantro, and scallion; served with a side of sweet dipping sauce (KHAO NA PED), another eye rolling meal!! You have the option of choosing a rice, white, fried, or berry (purple rice)...... i suggest the berry. The beef broth, thin rice noodles, sliced NY strip, stewed beef, beef tendon, beef ball, cilantro, scallion, and Chinese broccoli will have you talking while eating. My cousin couldn't stop raving about the flavor while eating. All this food talk has me thirsty. I can't get enough of the Lychee Tea which is green tea, lychee, and lychee jelly. My drink magically disappears the first 2 times, everytime, the waitress sets the glass down.....poof just disappears. So, i'm forced to order another . Their peach bellini and lychee saki mojito are aMAAAAZziiing. Delightful and refreshing. Seems to really be a common theme here. Everything is flavorful and refreshingly delicious from the food to the drinks. Khao Sen offers beer, wine, ciders, sake. For non-alchoholic drinks there's fountain drinks, coffe and teas, fruit teas, milk teas, fizzy drinks, milks, annnnnd water. Parking can be limited during rush hours. There is a parking garage currently being constructed, but for now there is a parking lot and street parking. Come one Come ALL!
