Loved this hidden gem in Apex. It was our random Friday pick and it turned out to be one of best Thai foods we have had in a long time. The place is big with outdoor seatings and cute interiors. We were seated immediately since the restaurant was pretty empty, may be coz we went a little late. We ordered Thai tea and Diet Coke, Thai tea was sweet and tasted good. In appetizers we ordered chicken potstickers which were 6peices in $7 and tasted good. For main course we ordered chicken egg noodles, drunken chicken doodles and kids noodle soup that came with chicken strips. Drunken chicken noodles was piping hot and so delicious, perfectly cooked chicken chewey flat noodles and sweet and hot sauces made the dish irresistible. The chicken egg noodles was dry (no gravy) but with lot of soya sauce, bean stouts, chili flakes chicken and egg noodles, we loved the whole combination. My daughter loved the chicken strips, they were hot and so soft, totally melted in our mouths. She finished all of it. The noodle soup was bland but perfect for kids. The entrees are expensive, around $22 to $24 for a dish but are totally worth it. Portions sizes are good enough. This is definitely our favorite place to go for Thai food now. Grabbed lunch from here and had an OK experience. First, the inside was cute! I liked the mascot with the giant glasses, and our server was helpful throughout our meal. I ordered the Myra Fried Rice, which at $24 was kind of steep. I noticed lots of typos on the menu (Fried was written as Fied multiple times), so that's something that management should probably fix. Anyway, my wife got the Thai Beef Salad, which was a more palatable $15. The food arrived soon afterwards, and it was... OK. The rice had a nice texture to it but the chicken was super anemic - it looked like it had been boiled or something. The beef was decent, though. My wife really loved her salad, and I enjoyed the flavor of that way more than my own dish. To adjust the spice on my dish, the server brought over chili flakes like you'd get at a pizza joint (but in a nicer looking vessel). They did spice up my meal but I guess it struck me as a little strange. The portion size was decent but I ate most of it in one sitting. Overall, I wouldn't say it was a terrible experience, but I'm not sure I would come back for $24 fried rice with bland chicken. read more

Casual, comfortable, and delicious. This lovely local Thai restaurant is perfect for a meal with friends and unwinding after work. The staff are friendly and the menu isn't intimidating. The fried wings are deliciously crisp and won't disappoint. The Penang curry is one of our go to meals especially on a cold day. The portions are enough to leave you satisfied but likely won't have leftovers which is where they lose a Star; the prices really justify some larger portions but regardless, the food is delicious and fresh. read more

Love this place, the inside is spacious and simply decorated. It could do with hiding the supplies a bit better if I'm being picky but understandable as they're under new ownership. Definitely a little on the pricier side but the dishes are worth it and HALAL. We ordered the chicken dumplings, drunken beef noodles, Thai noodle salad and Myra chicken fried rice. I recommend sticking to the original fried rice recipe if you want more flavor. We ordered the plain fried rice for a picky eater. The dining experience was not what I expected for a sit down restaurant with a cocktail menu. The service friendly but rushed. The cocktail I ordered never came, and the food was served as it was ready - mine came out first, then my husband's 3 min later. Stopped by and the place just seemed off. Something was different from the start, from the menu, the atmosphere and the service. The food was not as good as it has been in the past. One of our favorite items was no longer on the menu. But they could still make and it was a completly different dish from past orders. Everyone that worked here was very friendly and we had great service. For our first visit it was just my husband and I. We started with the Pork Belly buns. The flavoring was good but the buns seemed a little dry. They were just ok and not something we would try again there. For my meal I had the Drunken Noodles and they absolutely did not disappoint. My husband had the Crazy Fire Ramen of which he also enjoyed. I enjoyed mine to the point it would be hard for me to try something else next time. There was a lot of flavor to it and perfect spice and a lot of chicken - and the broad noodles were a good choice. I'm so sad to report that this restaurant is under new management and the food is now terrible. Myra Cafe used to be our go-to for Thai. Honestly I felt that it was one of the best restaurants in Apex. But whoever bought this place changed the menu, the recipes, and the prices. A to-go order of pad Thai, drunken noodles, and a wings appetizer should not be $65?! What's worse is the food was almost inedible. The dishes went from being a 10/10 to a 2/10 at best. I am so devastated to lose what once was a great Apex restaurant. Portions were smaller, they got rid of their croissant program, and the dishes don't taste fresh and flavorful anymore. I know it should be expected it but the fried spring rolls came straight out of the microwave pippin hot and was just average. The crazy fire, Ramen while tasty was a bit unusual. The plate came with a knife which you needed to cut the food into more manageable sized pieces . I've never seen that at any other Thai restaurant. My family and I have been to Myra several times and always really enjoy ourselves. The staff there are so kind and absolutely wonderful with my kids. We had the vegetable potstickers to share, I had the valentine noodle soup, my husband had the green curry noodles (which he loved) and my 5-year-old had the plain noodle soup from the kid's menu. The valentine noodle soup is loaded with tofu, shrimp and fish cakes--it's a large portion so I had enough for dinner and a small take out container to take home for lunch the next day. We were there during some really heavy rain and the staff were so welcoming and told us to stay as long as we needed to wait out the heavy rain, they took excellent care of us. read more

This is a nice place and we need somewhat healthy restaurants in Apex. It is individually owned that I appreciate. All the food we had was good. I loved that the fried spring roll was GF. Legitimately might be the best tasting Drunken Noodles I've ever had. While it's not the same recipe I've seen typically (no onions or peppers and it has shredded carrots and bean sprouts), the homemade chili paste they use is unbelievably flavorful. Huge amounts of chicken included as well. Potentially a little pricier than some hole in the wall spots, but worth every penny. read more

A friend and I had a great lunch here today! We arrived at 11:30, just as they opened, and we were able to order and get our food very quickly. I loved the drunken noodles. They had a nice spicy kick without being overwhelming. My friend enjoyed her Pad Thai, with more sweetness than spice. Both entrees were from the lunch menu and included a small spring roll. Service was friendly and efficient, and our water glasses were kept full. Prices were reasonable, and portions were perfect for lunch. There is plenty of parking on the side, out front, and across the street. The space is small and modern and filled up quickly, even on a rainy Tuesday, so try to arrive early. read more

This is our second time here in a month. We really like the ambiance, menu options and that they are willing to make any meal vegetarian. The staff is so nice and the food is obviously made to order. I got the duck ramen both times. I liked it better the first time. My husband got the crazy fire ramen vegetarian and my son got the cashew chicken. We were surprised when he ordered it as he usually prefers vegetarian. It was hands down the best meal. None of us ever order that and it was so good! Myra Cafe is now open in Apex and is serving up delicious Thai food. We dined in for lunch and had a good experience. They were still waiting on their alcohol permit when we visited so we opted for water but they have non-alcoholic beverages available. It was the drunken noodles for me, the cashew chicken for my husband and the myra box for my mom. The lunch specials are all served with a vegetable crispy roll. All of the food was so good. I give this 4 stars because my husband dish was amazing he says. Minus one star for the gluten free options. They took a pad Thai and made it with glass noodles n order to make it GF. I have never had that happen at any Thai restaurant or in Thai town l.A. The flavor was good, but the noodles sticking together was not the best option and very hard to eat.
