A minute or two later, it was in front of me - a goblet filled to the salty brim with a well balanced blend of tequila, lime juice, triple sec and ice. Everyone else at the table followed suit, but the service wasn't so instant. More on this later. We were a group of 9, with reservations. The table was nicely located and not off in a corner. There were 2- and 4-tops all around us. Another long table, this one bar height, butted the end of our regular height table. The servers soon separated them for easier access. Goji y Agave is the product of a partnership between a Mexican chef and an Asian one. There are two menus for food, but you can mix and match between them. Several of us ordered a little from each. Few of us could finish our entrees, the portions were so plentiful! An early snag was placing an order for nine drinks at once - the bar was overloaded, and the servers couldn't get them out together. This created a bottleneck where we could see them on the bar, but could not get to them. Folks were thirsty! This repeated when bringing out food. Once the food arrived, it was amazing, but it was a long wait getting all the orders for a large party together and out at once. Fortunately, it was early on a non-weekend night. We have been back countless times just for that menu item. The restaurant is extremely clean and the owners are super friendly. It is a unique place that they have Chinese and Mexican food. This place is great. I've done a pick up here as well as a dine in. Always a friendly and knowledgeable staff. They make sure everything is fresh and tailor to allergies. They have great prices meals and beverages. You also get chips and salsa when dining in. Picked up soup the first time and the Second time we got plantains, ceviche, margaritas, and Buddhas delight with shrimp added. At first when I heard Goji was serving Mexican food, but not Mexican Asian fusion, I was a bit confused. When I was presented with two separate menus I was even more confused, but after eating here a few times since they added the Mexican options, I must say that what they're doing very smart because it gives me double the reason to eat here, plus it's great when you're with somebody else and one of you want Asian and the other one wants Mexican, there really is no other place in the area that's serving two separate menus like this. Happened to go here while getting my truck windows tinted across the street. Really unique place l They have multiple menus and 2 kitchens (Japanese fusion and Mexican) . I just had a couple appetizers Bao buns and summer rolls. Bao buns were large and served with tasty sauce. Summer rolls had fresh crispy greens and nice shrimp, served with great sauce. Let me start by saying that the food was underwhelming to say the least. The chicken was bland and needed seasoning while the appetizer was very salty. I ordered the veggie fajitas with tofu, gluten free. when I opened the bowl all I saw was tofu. under further investigation I did find a few soggy vegetables on the bottom covered in a red oily sauce. We drove from N. Raleigh to sample the $2.99 lime Margaritas. We were not disappointed! They were nice and strong (not too strong- just right) and absolutely delicious. Can someone point me in the direction of good hibachi? Do we no longer like hibachi, what's going on here! To clarify, in my opinion (in my opinion!), good hibachi is tender chicken that is saucy, with adequate vegetables. With all that being said, when I typed in hibachi this restaurant popped up. I like my food spicy, so an extra helpful of chili oil did the trick. The Singapore noodles were spot on and had great helpings of shrimp, chicken and vegetables mixed in, as it should.
