    Pork Gyoza
    Ashleigh F.

Asia Pot is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses. We came on a Monday evening and were seated right away. Our server was pleasant and attentive. There are several tables located inside of the business. The business was decorated with nice Asian decor. We got our food in a timely manner. We got an order of gyoza. It wasn't bad but I would have preferred that it all be fried instead of steamed and fried. The general tso's chicken was really good. It was served hot and had a nice texture. Portions of the rice that was served with it was a little overcooked. It seemed like it was from the bottom of the pot. The broccoli was also good. I also tasted the pineapple fried rice. I enjoyed this dish. It was flavorful and served hot. My only complaint is that there could have been more pineapple in it. The portion sizes of the dishes were large and we had plenty of food leftover after we dined in. I would return again in the future.

From the top: Sesame chicken, below that mixed fried rice, and General Tso's chicken.

You know you are going to have a good experience in an Asian restaurant when the majority of the people eating are Asian. The servers were very attentive. The place was very clean, nice ambience. The food was outstanding: the mixed fried rice, the sesame chicken, and the General Tso chicken. What can I say? I will definitely come back. A little hidden gem not too far from NC State University.

While my husband did try the place out for an event, he had liked it so we went back! But the experience wasn't the greatest the second time there. We got the bang bang shrimp, stir fry basil chicken and chicken wings! The shrimp coating was too thick and not crispy though the sauce was nice. The wings were hot kind of hard crispy but sadly lacked any flavor taste. The basil chicken was good though. While online the timings were till 10 pm they shut at 9.30 and didn't feel very excited that we came close to closing time (9 ish pm). Their decor had some interesting items, like the large almost 3D moon on a wall.

I went to this restaurant because of the amazing reviews online but it was a total disappointment 1) Food: the food was no where met expectation. It is not flavorful at all. When I gave the feedback the staff said because it is Asian fusion. Asian fusion food can also be flavorful when not authentic! The beef in the hotpot was cut too thick that it was hard to get any flavor out of it! The miso hot spot was meh! 2) Service: I would not have complained about the service if there wasn't an exercise to go around the restaurant to ask for feedbacks and when we actually gave the feedbacks, the staff was very defensive! If you don't want my feedbacks, don't ask! There is another table near us also complained about the food that it had gone down in quality compared to the last time she was here in April! She was also not pleased about how defensive the staff was! 3) Ambiance: the place was very quiet on a Wed night dinner. There were 3 tables in total!

I always enjoy a good hot pot so when I heard about Asia Pot, I went to try it. It's a locally owned business located in a strip mall off of Avent Ferry Road near NC state. I menu has a variety of options from currys to hot pot. I got the fried pork gyoza as the appetizer. It was your standard gyoza. Nothing too special. For the main I got the Tom Yum Hot Pot. I love that they give you an individual Hot Pot. It came loaded with Shrimp and veggies. I am a big fan of Tom Yum so it hit the spot. Although it had a decent kick to it but it was very flavorful. Even though it's an individual hot pot but it can be easily shared with another person. Overall a decent place, I'd go back there again!

Would return! We ordered a few things to share and the portion sizes were so big! Which I love :) the beef was very tender in the beef and broccoli. The Thai pineapple fried rice was good and had a slight kick to it. Lastly, we ordered the curry pot - also huge! I liked that it came w katsu chicken (and lots of it) and also that the hot pot had basically every topping you could want inside lol. However I was expecting the curry flavor to be stronger or maybe was hoping for a thicker broth - could just be me. Anyway, service was friendly and the food came out quick! No wait for an early Saturday night dinner

Pad thai. No flavor to the noodles and on the dry side.

Stopped by for a lunch and was greeted by a friendly worker. We ordered to go and food came out within 15 minutes. I think this place specializes in hot pot so I want to preface that we did not order that. This review is solely about the dishes we tried, which were 2 lunch specials. Pad Thai with chicken and sesame chicken. The pad thai noodles were cooked fine but underseasoned. It was dry and had no tamarind or aromatic flavors. It felt very underwhelming. 2/5 The sesame chicken was pretty good. 3/5 Came with rice and unseasoned boiled broccoli. The chicken was very sweet and saucy. Both specials came with miss soup, which were very mild. I couldn't taste the miso flavor. The portion size and price were very good. I think our total was around $22. This place is in a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking. Service was really nice. I think these dishes need more flavoring to bring it to the next level.

Went here for dinner with my husband and my son and his girlfriend who love hot pot. Seated immediately. Friendly host. Server came quickly and brought us waters. Girlfriend ordered the curry hot pot and son and husband the Sichuan style. Don ordered his very spicy. I ordered the green curry but the server kindly informed me it was the spiciest curry so I changed to red. The red was delicious -- just a little bit of kick. Portions were generous and all enjoyed their hot pots. I particularly like that the hot pots are individual instead of everyone having to share. Highly recommend if you're looking for this type of food.

Not in the prettiest of locations, but the inside looks much better. Visited with my family of 6. We were immediately greeted and seated. Customer service was great all visit. Food was solid. Prices are fair. Nothing special, but we'd return if we're in the area.

Wow! Food was incredible, service was excellent and everything was spotless! It's amazing but I've had some of best meals at a hole in the wall strip mall...this ranks high. We had the edamame and gyoza as an appetizer...both great! We had the Red curry and pad Thai for our main. Both were delicious and large portions. We will be back for sure.

Tried Asia Pot for the first time and it did not disappoint! I heard about it on social media and decided since it was a chilly night, we'd give it a try. I had the sichuan style hot pot and it was phenomenal! I have a high spice threshold and it was perfect for me but it does cause the sichuan tingles. There's noodles plus a large assortment of proteins (beef, kani, fish cakes, spam, tofu) and veggies(baby corn, broccoli, Napa cabbage, mushrooms, zucchini, carrots) in the pot, making it super filling. My husband got the budae jjigae, which also had an assortment of proteins and veggies with ramen noodles in it. It wasn't as spicy as mine but still packed a punch with a Korean flare. The food was amazing but the customer service was top notch! The owners answered all of my questions about the menu and came out to check that everything was perfect. We will absolutely be back!!

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

I ordered the lo mein, bamboo flounder fish, and a side of fried rice. Unfortunately, the lo mein was extremely greasy, the fried rice was overly salty, and the shrimp was hard, overcooked and not fresh. When I informed the waiter that I would not be eating the lo mein due to its condition, I was told that I would still have to pay for it and that it did not matter whether I liked it or not. He initially refused to remove the dish from my bill. After eventually taking it off, he told me that he never wanted to see my face again as I was leaving. What disappoints me most is that I genuinely enjoyed this restaurant and had been a repeat customer. The decline in food quality combined with the way my concerns were handled has left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

I came here when I was visiting my in laws, so naturally, I wanted to expose them to KBBQ. Unfortunately, I picked this place because a lot of reviews said its the best and allat, when in truth, this place is one of the worst KBBQ I have ever visited. Not only they stopped serving lettuce wrap (sure, they have it in the menu but they didn't stock it because their lettuce supplier increased the price or whatever), they did not offer any other wrap options like a decent kbbq should have (rice wrap, radish wrap, or shisho leave...etc). The meat quality? It's the cheapest cut you could ever get. The kalbi cut is so thin and tasted old (spoiler alert, they should be thicker and higher quality..), the other unseasoned meat cut is lower quality too. The seasoned meat were so bad I had hard time enjoying it. The bulgogi did not taste like a propee bulgogi and once again, tasted old like it has been in the fridge for too long. The spicy bulgogi was so grainy and not spicy at all, almost like they're using low quality gochugaru. Honestly, you will be much better off buying your own ingredients at h-mart or any asian grocery than going to this place. The only saving grace was the kind server who tends us often. 10/10 will not recommend.
