What can you say about another Chinese buffet restaurant other than that the China Queen is a fine spot for a quick and easy lunch or takeout. It looks like any other place, you've got a counter for takeout orders or you can slide into the dining room on the right for a sit-down meal. Service is quick and the buffet is fresh. It's not the biggest one I've seen but there's plenty of choices. There's sauteed shrimp, salmon, salt and pepper chicken and all the other chinese basics. But in my opinion, a bit above average in quality compared to other places I've tried in the Raleigh area. China Queen is just one of those places that serves a good meal at a good price. It's relatively busy at lunch time but I've never had a problem getting a table. Given that it's right next door to work and I've eaten there well over 20 times, I thought they deserved a shout! Or should I say, a yelp!

I had walked into China Queen at 11:02am, so two minutes after they had opened for business. I opted to try out their buffet rather than the menu. Food was still being cooked as many of the trays were still empty. However, what caught my attention was the Chicken Teriyaki, it did not appear fresh. I took three pieces anyway only to determine that they were not fresh and likely from the day before (very dry and chewy, considering they had just opened for business). Some of the other selections like the shrimp and noodles were definitely fresh, but at that point I was turned off by the fact that they were feeding patrons food from the day before. Instead of enjoying my meal, I was consumed with the thought of what else on that buffet was old? I can appreciate China Queen trying to save money, but not at the expense of customers' health.

I love a good Chinese buffet but China Queen is awful. Rubber food, too much gelatin in the sauces. Cheap, yes, but just awful.

Food was tasty and cheap. Had sweet and sour chicken with fried rice with an egg roll. Friendly staff, we'll be coming back!

Bida Manda mean "father and mother" in Sanskrit. This restaurant was started by siblings (a…read morebrother and a sister), and they named their restaurant to honor their parents. What a great idea! I like to come here for one dish: the squash curry or the pumpkin curry. It's either vegetarian or vegan, so yeah, it's pretty much the highlight of the menu as far as I'm concerned. It's called the Manda Curry or Mom's Curry: Slow-cooked house coconut curry with fresh root vegetables, jasmine rice, and pumpkin. It reminds me of Vientiane Palace's Squash Curry. Upscale ambience!

We came in with some friends on a Monday to celebrate a birthday. My friend has a gluten and dairy allergy, which was actually no problem here. So if that is a dietary concern for you or a loved one - this is a great spot to bring them! We were all able to enjoy a majority of the food. My partner and I both enjoyed a mocktail version of the roselle freezy - it was amazing! Either as a mocktail or a cocktail, you should try this drink. For starters, we had the crispy chicken wings, spring rolls with veggies, and the lettuce wraps. We all enjoyed the chicken wings so much that we got a second order of them. I enjoyed the spring rolls much more than the lettuce wraps as they had more flavor to them. For dinner, we shared an order of the Manda Amphone's Curry and the chicken pad thai. I originally did not expect to be blown away by the pad thai - boy, was I wrong. This is hands down the best pad thai I have ever had. If you love pad thai, you need to try theirs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the curry. Both dishes were rich and flavorful and came with enough to share between 4 adults. Overall, not having been to Bida Manda in 10+ years, I was impressed and will definitely return.

I have also been looking for a sushi that incorporates lemon for a long time now...I was so excited to see that O-ku had one! I had the crispy rice, edamame, salmon & lemon maki, and clouds of white cocktail. I genuinely loved everything; even the tastes I tried of my friend's dishes and cocktails too. The sushi was fresh and some of the best I've had in Raleigh. This place is super cute and cozy. A great atmosphere for a date night or night out with a group. I'll be back for sure.

I was having a hard time finding a place in Raleigh that served quality ingredient sushi & was worth the price for the quantity. We found ourselves at O-Ku after a friend recommended this place as her favorite sushi in Raleigh. Immediately was impressed, as we came for my birthday & the staff signed a birthday card for me and gave me a surprise dessert. Excellent service! On my 2 year wedding anniversary we came back again bc we loved the sushi the first time and wanted to have delicious food on our special night. The staff once again surprised us with flowers on the table, a special printed menu that said 2nd year Anniversary & a dessert to go. This place is absolutely stunning inside as well. Beautiful restaurant, they also have an intimate outdoor patio with pretty lights. Highly recommend this place for a special occasion or even just a night out if you're looking for the best sushi in Raleigh! Love ya, O-Ku -- we'll be back!
