    Spicy braised noodle soup
    Justin P.

Aside from the fact that Q Noodle's flavor profile doesn't totally vibe with my personal preferences, I find this place to be very, very inconsistent. As someone who really enjoys big, spicy flavors in Chinese food, I find Q Noodles to be on the tamer side. This isn't necessarily the worst thing, my grandparents prefer these flavors a lot more. However, the style of food does not make up for some the unknown of a high or low experience. Q Noodles is one of the few places in the area that serves soup dumplings. Unfortunately, during my last visit the soup dumplings had no soup in them. The flavor of the meat inside was decent, but the lack of soup was disappointing! It makes the dish what it is. I also don't particularly fancy their rice bowls, and that says a lot coming from someone who eats an unholy amount of rice. I eat a lot of Taiwanese braised pork rice, so when I saw it on the menu I certainly had some expectations. I didn't get the Taiwanese version, rather, a more mild version where the pork was leaner and definitely overcooked. Their pork chop rice bowl is decent. While there are some misses, there are also some highlights. The popcorn chicken with the spicy powder rocks, the spicy braised beef noodle soup is packed with heat and delicious flavors, and their braised chicken is tender, juicy and kind of like a great Bourbon chicken. It pairs well with a rice bowl. Q Noodles certainly won't be my #1 choice when it comes to Chinese food, given the amount of options in the area. However, there are some really solid options that I think still give it some charm. I just hope that next time, my soup dumpling has some soup!

    Sesame Balls

Stopped in for a late lunch and was presently surprised. service was quick even though it was crowded, we ordered sesame balls, panfried pork and chive dumpling, shrimp dumplings, a sesame chicken and chongqing noodles. what really stood out was the the panfried dumplings and noodles. The dumplings were crispy on the bottom, yet still soft/ flavorful..not oily or burnt tasting. The noodles had a bold, savory heat to it (more of a tingle then eye watering heat) nothing salty just a smooth aroma type of taste with bok choy, egg, tofu, peanuts and noodles. the sesame balls were good, standard with red bean paste inside, not sweet and the steamed shrimp dumplings were a pass for me for they were a little fishy. I didn't get to try the sesame chicken, my nephew ate it all so safe to say it was delicious. definitely a must try if you're in the area.

Q noodles was very good and has great prices. Would recommend going with a group and ordering appetizers and different dishes to share. My favorite was the garlic cucumber, which was very flavorful. The pork buns were also very good. For my entree, I got the hot and sour foon with mixed pork. I liked the dish but it is definitely on the heavier side. Service was great and everything came out quickly. The restaurant itself has a ton of seating and wasn't too busy on a weekday dinner.

Q Noodles is a solid option if you're craving dumplings and noodles, though our experience landed more in the "good, not great" category. We ordered the dumpling/dim-sum sampler box along with the noodles in peanut sauce. Everything was prepared well and tasted good, no complaints there. The dumplings were alright and offered a nice variety, and the peanut noodles were flavorful. That said, nothing really stood out as over-the-top or memorable. The flavors were solid but didn't quite reach that "wow" factor that makes you immediately start planning your next visit. This was our first time here, and while we enjoyed the meal, it didn't leave a strong lasting impression. Importantly, nothing was bad at all. Service was fine, the food came out as expected, and the overall experience was pleasant (inside restaurant looked nice as well). It's the kind of place that works well when you're nearby and want something reliable, even if it doesn't rise to must-visit status. Worth trying, especially if you're in the area.

We came for an early dinner on Friday ahead of a movie. We were the only people in there for a little bit but it quickly filled up. They have a nice dim sum menu with a bunch of options. I love soup dumplings but went with a pork bao bun this time. Very yummy - 2 for $5, which is about normal. Then for entrees I got the noodles in scallion oil with chicken. The way they cook the chicken is something I've never experienced before. Like a little bit fried? It was interesting. The noodles were good and not spicy. I add a liberal amount of chili oil. My partner got the Chongqing Noodles and added chicken. The sauce/liquid it comes in is delightfully spicy. I think I actually preferred his over mine. We also both got milk teas with our meal. Both taro and both very good. Our server was wonderful! And our food came out quickly. Overall, I would recommend this place if you're in the area.

Went in for a nice simple lunch. Got the strawberry fruit tea with mango boba (DELICIOUS!). Got the scallion pancakes, side of rice, and the pork & chive steamed dumplings. Everything was pretty good. I wish the dumplings had a little bit more flavor but overall a good experience and i will be back.

Get the popcorn chicken pleaaaaaase!!! The pork intestine was decent but not as good as the first time I had it. My mind was blown the first time. The shrimp and pork dumplings soup dumplings had good flavor but my husband and I thought that the wrappers were much too thick. Our daughter absolutely loved them though. Service is great and there's a button on the wall you can press when you need your server, like what they have at AYCE or KBBQ spots. The spicy oil wontons are good. Definitely not what one might expect but I suppose they aren't "chili oil wontons". It must just be the style of food from a certain region in china that we're not familiar with. We've tried the chicken mushroom gyoza in the past and it was excellent. I would skip the cold peanut noodles as well. The coconut boba has wonderful flavor but the boba didn't taste fresh. So the drinks are good but skip the boba! They have a QR code on the table that indicates you can get a free drink if you fill out a survey but I didn't get around to it until I was at home. It is a dated receipt after you finish the survey that says what date you fill it out and you are meant to show it to the server. Will definitely be returning though. They've got a cute ambience with a cotton candy machine, cherry blossoms, a pay phone, and a huge wicker papasan.

Not a bad dim sum & noodle spot that serves up nice and homey food! Unfortunately, our experience was a bit soured near the end due to the service. Amongst my parents and I, we ordered an appetizer (pig ears), two dim sum items (shrimp & pork soup dumplings and pan fried pork buns), and two noodle dishes (chongqing noodles and yibin spicy dry noodles). In terms of highlights, the texture of the pig ears was quite good as they were cut very thinly and weren't overly gummy, plus the pan fried pork buns were delicious! Otherwise, the soup dumplings were good but not a standout, and out of the two noodle dishes, the chongqing noodles definitely felt like it could use a bit more flavor. The amount of food we ordered ended up being just about perfect, though we had some leftover pig ears that we decided to get a box for. After leaving our table, we stopped at the front of the restaurant to take a few photos in front of this cute wall and accidentally forgot about our leftovers (which were already boxed up). We ended up noticing as we got into our car, and one of us immediately went back in to hopefully retrieve the leftovers. Sadly, they didn't have it anymore... this rubbed us the wrong way since they were cleaning up our table while we were still in the restaurant and could have easily handed us the leftovers that we forgot.

Great noodles!! I got the beef noodle soup, which is unfortunately not your typical tender beef Taiwanese noodle soup. It's sliced beef which is not as good, but still pretty darn tasty. The noodles were nice, chewy, and bouncy. It was a generous portion as well! We got soup dumplings on the side which came with 6. They were great as well. Service was good, kind waitresses and food came fast! If I'm in the area again, I'll probably stop by because the noodles are not bad.

My grandson and I love everything about Q Noodles: the food, the unique beverages, the service, the atmosphere. We are on a mission to try every item on the menu! It's almost impossible to choose a favorite as we go about our mission, as every dish we've eaten has been spectacular. Each order is fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented by wait staff who are kind, friendly and helpful. Always a delight. Can't wait for our next dining adventure at Q!

A friend saw this place on TikTok and we came to try it because she was so excited for dimsum. This was a "ok, if I'm not the one paying" sort of restaurant; the server wasn't the nicest or most polite; he didn't ask what or if we even wanted drinks before ordering food. Then, the food was good in the sense that we ate it, but it wasn't particularly exciting or flavorful. It's definitely not a homemade/authentic place for dimsum (go to HMart and you can get the same items for your steamer at a fraction of the price). We shared the sampler, and I had the seafood noodles, which were also a bit overcooked in general.

    Dim sum combo
    Amanda K.

This is a nice place but to be completely honest, I feel my palate wasn't the target audience here. I saw so many things online about the dim sum combo. I liked the piggy buns and the bbq pork the most. The soup dumplings were underwhelming to me. My boyfriend got the pork-chop over rice and he said it was okay. He only got a few pieces of broccoli though. The service was a little iffy - I felt judged for what I ordered lol. I probably wouldn't come back but that's mostly based off preference, not the overall experience.

You seat yourself. Was immediately greeted and asked if we wanted booth or a table. Once we sat, we received water which was nice since it was a hot summer day. You can tell they put a lot of effort in their ambience. Everything has their restaurant name "Q-Noodles" - literally everything: chopsticks, napkins, plates, etc. On the table there is hot chili oil (which was actually hot), soy sauce, and another container of brown sauce I wasn't sure of. We went during lunch so dim sum items were $4.99 each. The food? Very below par. Everything was SALTY, bland, and dry. I couldn't even pair dim sum with any sauce on the table because those were also salty. We came here because of TikTok which I should've known to keep my expectations low. I would wait until you're in a bigger city like Chicago or NYC to eat dimsum because this wouldn't even scratch an itch. Not worth the money.

Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! Worth the drive from Clayton, where I live.

The broth was rich and balanced, the pork was tender, and the toppings--bok choy, beansprouts, bamboo, onions, nori, and that perfectly seasoned egg--brought everything together beautifully. I did ask them to cut the meat up but they were "not able" to accommodate that request. Every bite felt warm, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and energetic. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away from how good the food was. If you're craving a great bowl of ramen in a lively atmosphere, Noodle Boulevard is absolutely worth the stop.

My girl got the noodle dish with the beef tripe, and we also ordered beef tripe for appetizer and milky rice cake for dessert. The beef tripe is one of our favorite appetizers, and it's perfect with Japanese beer. The noodles are a bit spicy but the spice level was adjusted low to my girl's liking. Both arrived in no time, and were piping hot on a cold winter's day. The fried dumplings were crispy, not at all greasy, and filled with very flavorful filling, coupled with a perfectly paired dipping sauce. The hotpot... oh, the hotpot, was filled with pillowy fried tofu, fatty and tender beef, cabbage, wood ear mushroom shreds, seaweed, bean sprouts, and a ton of noodles. All of this was swimming in some of the most amazing Szechuan peppercorn broth that was spicy, but not numbing and not overpowering. It was the perfect broth to wrap each ingredient in flavor. After I finished all of the delicious beef and veggies, I went for the noodles. I never really new what "bouncy" meant when describing noodles until today. They were clearly just handmade, steamed, then finished off with a light panfry. I've never had this particular variety of dumpling before and these were delightful. The accompanying dipping sauce had a bit too much vinegar in it for my taste. Highly recommended. We shared the minced pork and eggplant for an entree. Wow! This was fantastic. The Japanese eggplant was very tender and the finely minced pork perfectly complimented the eggplant. We will definitely order this again. Adding steamed rice to this entree incurs a $1.95 up charge which seems like gouging on a $16.95 dish. Service was friendly and helpful, but not especially attentive or detail oriented. I got the impression that the restauranteurs in charge were highly experienced and showed a level of finesse that most similar restaurants in the area just aren't capable of. Beijing Cafe definitely warrants return visits.

Room for probably 3 diff groups of people to eat. There were tables to seat 4, two tall stool seats by the window facing the parking lot, and a tucked away spot with a folding chair beside it and had cups of utensils on it. I ordered the cold flour noodle with sesame sauce and the shaanxi mutton soak buns. Both were tasty and the cold noodles were refreshing. The employee described the mutton soak buns dish as a soup soaked pancake which is pretty accurate. It reminds me of a rice porridge but with chopped dough instead of rice. The restroom is in the back through the kitchen which is kinda cool because you can see them rolling out all the round flat bread that they use for the dishes. I'm guessing it's what they use for the rougamo (I've seen it at other Chinese restaurants described as a Chinese hamburger) and the shaanxi soak buns. It almost has a gnocchi type of consistency. It isn't your average fried rice and stir fry type of Chinese restaurant so if you're looking for something like that it might not meet your expectations. I would definitely come back to try other menu items. Also, get the plum juice. It's delicious!

This week my teen reminded me that a new Ramen place has opened in the same facility so I decided to give it a try. The ambience is cozy, though I found that tables are very close to each other, so it is very hard to keep a conversation going without you either disturbing the other table or worrying about having someone else listen to your conversation menu is fine. I did not care for sushi because I was there for Ramen. Besides, they have a vegetarian Ramen is what I was looking for, my daughter ordered a teriyaki Ramen. My vegetarian Ramen had a lot of tempura in it, which defeated the purpose a little bit for me because it was a little oily. The taste was more or less like a red curry and there was very less vegetables mostly it was sweet corn and one or two bok choy on the other hand my teen, who is very hard to please loved the teriyaki Raman and is already planning to go back this weekend to try the other ones , all in all I gave this place a four star because the umami of the Ramen was very comforting, even though I did not like the taste much

So spirits were high right from the start. For the record, I've been here a handful of times before, usually for lunch, but this was my first dinner visit. Parking was easy and plentiful, and even though the restaurant was fairly busy, we were seated right away. Always a nice win. We kicked things off with a bowl of edamame that was perfectly salted. The boys went with miso soup, which was flavorful but came out lava hot. Like, ice-cube-required hot. Tasty, but proceed with caution if you have kids. For sushi, we kept it simple and solid with a mix of one classic and two specialty rolls: Spicy Tuna, Phoenix, and the Crunchy Roll. All were fresh, well-made, and hit the spot. Food came out quickly, service was friendly and attentive, and the overall value felt right. Since we live nearby, this will definitely stay in our regular rotation. A great, easy dinner spot for sushi with family.
