Another winner. Small and a little divey, counter worked out fine for the 3 of us. Sampled the gyoza and takoyaki, both excellent Tried the black garlic ramen, subtle yet flavorful. The char Shui grilled and melt in your mouth tender. The miso and shoyu ramen equally good. Very casual vibe, 70's soft jazz music was playing, husband said it felt like Suzanne Pleshette was going to walk by with a whiskey sour. This a must stop on your ramen crawl.

Overall: KOI Ramen is a solide ramen spot. Would recommend if you're looking to try something new. Food: The ramen here was very solid for the price. I would say it is a good value compared to some of the other, more expensive options. Service: Good service here, I was able to request my noodles cooked chewier, and they were able to adjust it to my preference. Ambiance: This is a casual sit-down place. Not a lot of seating indoors, about half is bar seating.

We ordered 2 spring rolls while we set outside and had a Rita's ice! The spring roll was fried to perfection and very filling! I wish I could speak to the ambiance but I set outside while my husband ordered. Service was quick but not rushed!

Koi ramen is a cozy little ramen shop near downtown Cary. Their options on par with ramen pricing standards. I ordered the Black Garlic Ramen and it was delicious! The flavors were rich and the char siu was so tender. The food came relatively quickly as well. Will definitely be coming back for the black garlic ramen again!

Amazing ramen! I loved the texture of the noodle. All of the toppings paired well together. The lettuce was a surprise, I haven't been to a ramen place that puts lettuce in their ramen but it was a nice touch. Although the space is a bit small I would definitely go back and get takeout from here.

Stopped by since we were in downtown Cary. The ambiance feels pretty close to authentic as Cary can get. I liked the bar seating for solo diners. There's a few tables outdoors and indoors as well. We tried an assortment of ramen and liked all of them. They're not cheap about putting in extras such as a good amount of bean sprouts/etc. The ramen egg was a little overdone on mine, but that might be personal preference. Didn't give 5 star since it's pretty hard to find a 5 star Asian spot in this area.

Overall very small place but very affordable, the ramen was spicy but hella good. And got an eggroll which was good as well.

Simple ramen place, informal, with some outside seating. Don't let the simplicity fool you--this place is a gem in both food quality. Easily see myself as a regular. Seating is tight, a bit awkward layout. but they have a 'bar'. May have started as a take-out place. Pricing is moderate, 12-15 for a bowl of ramen, but generous portions, we got another meal out of it We got an order of gyoza by mistake, but ate it as it was excellent, and they didn't charge for it! Not that y'all get free gyoza every time, but the level of graciousness is over the top Food came timely. My dish as listed as spicy had a great balance of spice and a good portion of ground pork and tofu. They get the "5" even with the tight seating as they put their heart in their food evidently.

This is the best ramen I've ever had in my life. I recommend the black garlic ramen. The service was amazing. We waiting less than 5 minutes for our food to come out. It was very cozy and quiet in the restaurant.

The food was amazing! We had the gyoza, black garlic ramen and the strawberry mochi, everything was delicious! Service was 10/10. Ambience was perfect, warm and welcoming with a genuine feel.

The service is awesome here. Seated promptly. The inside is small enough seating for small groups. Outside seating as well. The food was outstanding. Some of the best I have ever had. I got gyoza and a pork and chicken with black garlic. The gyoza cooked perfect. The pork in the ramen was out of this world. Juicy and delicious, it set this bowl flying with flavor. The chicken was bland. No big deal. I needed a little salt and added some chili oil. For the price and what I got, I would definitely be back!

My friend saw this place and suggested we try it. I'm glad she did! It was great! It's a small spot maybe 4 tables and the bar/table with the stools surrounding. There are some tables outside, but it next to an ice cream place and I think those patrons sit there. Plus the tables outside were real dirty. There were maybe two to three people working there, so the service was kind of slow, but good service. We started with the crispy shumai which I've never had fried, it was very good. I had the black ramen garlic that came with pork and chicken and it was delicious. I would definitely go back!

This place makes great ramen. My husband loves their pork ramen. We love how fast and fresh it is every time. I have to have rice noodles and they are always accommodating.

Great service, quick and happy to serve! They do not skimp on amount of food either. The price you pay here is great compared to west coast. Lots of thick pork, charred, and lots of noodles and toppings. High quality blended chili oil was also a surprise. We'll be back! The broth is satisfying, the noodles are well-cooked, and it's exactly the kind of meal you crave on a chilly day. This would have been a five-star review for me in the past, but I've knocked it down slightly because the prices have been creeping up. It's starting to feel a bit steep for what used to be an easy, go-to lunch spot, even though the quality is still there. That said, the food itself remains excellent, and I'll absolutely continue coming back, just a little less often for lunch than I used to. Food comes very quickly but very limited seating so keep that in mind if going during peak dining hours. Still a top-tier ramen option in Raleigh.

Noodle Blvd is located in a spot that you could easily miss, but it's easy to get back on track. I pulled into the gas station parking lot beside the restaurant, then just turned right into the restaurant parking lot. The parking lot is fairly small, so be warned about that. My friend was there when I arrived, and he sat at the bar. When I walked in the door, I was greeted with smiles and waves. It was very inviting, which is fitting for a ramen restaurant. My friend ordered us Lychee Margaritas, and oh my goodness, it was so good! We decided to visit right at opening on a Saturday, so the bartender was still preparing some of the ingredients needed for the margarita. The bartender informed us that it's usually better once a key ingredient sits for a while, but I loved the drink regardless. I ordered edamame for an appetizer, which came quickly and was good! Since I've never had ramen before, I asked our server what he recommended, and he told me about some of their most popular dishes. He told me the N9. Chicken Curry Ramen was a favorite of his and the patrons, so I decided to order that. It came quickly, and I was immediately in HEAVEN upon my first bite. I loved every bite after! I decided to play it safe with the spice and got level 2, but I can definitely go up a level or 2 since I love spicy. Highly recommend, and I will be back! I did ask them to cut the meat up but they were "not able" to accommodate that request. Every bite felt warm, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. The service was friendly and efficient, and the overall vibe of the place is fun and energetic. The music was a bit louder than I prefer, but it didn't take away from how good the food was. The boys went with miso soup, which was flavorful but came out lava hot. Like, ice-cube-required hot. Tasty, but proceed with caution if you have kids. For sushi, we kept it simple and solid with a mix of one classic and two specialty rolls: Spicy Tuna, Phoenix, and the Crunchy Roll. All were fresh, well-made, and hit the spot. I had already looked at the menu online and knew what I wanted: shoyu ramen. The order was served with a spoon, a side plate and a paper towel. There was 1 soft-boiled cut into two halves and ample amounts of scallion, menma and braised pork belly. The latter had a rich flavor, helped in no small part by the pork and chicken broth. Not only that, the broth complimented the rest of the ingredients; the egg was enjoyable. My only (minor) complaint is the portion size of the ramen itself. It was smaller than I would like. The lady that served me was probably (best guess) the owner. Her service was impeccable. In addition, Kinoko has a pleasing amenity not found in most restaurants: an AC outlet at every table that was by the wall. This was very handy for a heavy user of laptops and phones like myself. Although there was music playing in the background, it wasn't loud. The server and I were able to hear each other, and I could also hear the voices of others at the bar. The restroom had an interesting decor of newspapers for wallpaper. That was something I didn't see elsewhere. If you love good ramen, come to Kinoko Ramen. It was a fascinating flavor mix, with some harsh notes that would be a discovery for those that haven't had mala before working well because of the balance of salty and savory flavors and some nice greens and sweet corn. It was unique and I enjoyed it. They had some appetizers and things that I wasn't hungry enough for, but I did wash it down with tea. The restaurant is "cute," with neon, sushi cats, and TVs. Quiet when it's empty, loud when there are large tables. Both the tonkatsu and shoyu ramens tasted fine if a little too salty. Salt was, in fact, the primary flavor. The broths had nowhere near the richness and depth of flavor that should have been present. The noodles were appropriately bouncy and were well cooked. The appetizers were also just okay. It's hard to screw up edamame and they didn't. They were served hotter than usual which was actually very nice. The furikake fries are overrated. The fries themselves are good and beautifully crispy but that's due to the light coating of cornstarch or rice flour on the fries. That helps give them that extra boost. The furikake itself doesn't stick to the fries and just falls to the bottom of the dish, adding absolutely nothing to the fries. The restaurant seemed understaffed. The server did his level best but was spread too thin. All in all, decent food but Miso Ramen by the bus station is much better.
