Big portions on hot plates, not styrofoam. I asked for double veggies and it was huge. Well worth the extra $2.50. The location is clean and the atmosphere as well as the music is pleasant. Our new favorite hibachi.

We have visited this location for a long time. Always had a good experience overall. However, the last few times have been well less than desirable. I believe it will be our last time going. We ordered: Spring Roll Hibachi Steak Side of Soba California Roll Cream Cheese Salmon Eel Cucumber Roll The Soba noodles were okay. Nothing really to say about them, good flavor and not oily. The spring rolls had some odd spice/seasoning and were a little oily than normal. Not sure if this is due to reheating them or just sitting in the oil longer. Where things went downhill for us was the Hibachi Steak and the sushi. Have you ever had Wasbi that has no heat? No, me either, but I did tonight. The Wasbi was dark, dark green and well flavorless. The ginger was hard and well that still isn't the worst of it. The fish in the Eel roll was old! We couldn't even eat it just because of the smell! The other sushi had no flavor at all. We just throw it all away. Then for the steak in the Hibachi - there was less than a handful in the whole thing - very disappointing. To pay all of this, you expect more, but that wasn't the case.

a really nice & convenient spot for any hibachi or noodle cravings! everything came out super quickly, not even 10 minutes after ordering. the owners were very sweet & conversational. i especially loved the soba & added some yum yum sauce from the hibachi added some creaminess too! definitely would love to try the fried dumplings next time & some sushi pieces too. we had a late lunch so there wasn't too many people but it's also very quiet & peaceful given the decor. the place gets a lot of natural sunlight as windows cover each corner. they had fountain drinks but also had bottle ones, i chose the peach sparkling water which was really good! we'll come back for dinner some time!

Fresh, hot, and reasonable wait time. The portions are great too. Definitely one of my go-to food places now

Not fancy, but perfect for pick up and go.

The Hibachi Shrimp was good. My kids also enjoyed their Hibachi Chicken. Nonetheless, the restaurant itself could use some updating.

While this spot does…read moreclassics well, there were some letdowns; however, we had a good experience overall: - Spicy Tan Tan Ramen (Rich pork broth, spicy ground pork, bean sprout, wood ear mushroom, chives, cilantro, green onion, 1/2 seasoned soft-boiled egg, thin straight noodles): Definitely my favorite dish! The broth had great depth, the spice provided a nice kick, loved all the different toppings but I do think there could have been more pork. - Tonkatsu Ramen (Signature rich pork broth, pork belly, bamboo shoot, wood ear mushroom, green onion, 1/2 seasoned soft-boiled egg, thin straight noodles): Same great broth as the tan tan, chashu was perfectly fatty and tender, liked all the toppings again. The noodles themselves didn't really stand out to me. - Chicken Teriyaki Bento Box (Dashimaki, shrimp shumai, salad, pickles, rice, miso soup): Ehh... this was fine, but I'd definitely skip it next time. For the price, the quantity and quality of everything but maybe the chicken (which was smoky but way too sweet) was lackluster. - Chicken Curry Don (Panko breaded chicken cutlet, Japanese-style curry sauce, potato, carrot, onion, nori): The chicken was crispy, but quantity was so small. Curry was tasty, but inadequately warmed. - Raindrop (Plant-based ice jelly, brown sugar syrup, soybean powder): Such a unique dessert- ofc the visual is great, but the texture was interesting and it was subtly sweet too. Ambiance is nice, but the space is pretty small. Service was fast and friendly. There's plentiful parking. 7.5/10 would recommend!

I can't say it was the best I've ever had, but fair. I like the tan tan better than tonkatsu- family who tasted the broth all agreed on this. Was pretty disappointed in tonkatsu. Very thin dry, and small portion with basic sauce. Tonkatsu portion was smallest I've ever seen. Taste very mediocre. Service: twice here. Service is generally slow. Polite staffs but slow. It is a very basic ramen place here. Some will love it and some will want something more special. It's up to you to try!

Oohhh, sweet sweet Shijiri. You're a divine angel soaring high above other mere mortal sushi…read morerestaurants. The talent and fresh perspective you bring to American Japanese cuisine deserves to be honored, praised and frankly, worshiped by the other "sushi" restaurants in this area. Shijiri is wholely unique in it's take on Japanese cuisine as it serves it's meals very similarly in style to what you'd get in Japan, in "sets". This means your fish will come with sushi rice, soup, salad and other goodies that pair with the main course. You can order some fish a la carte but the beauty of this restaurant lies within the sets. You might scoff at the prices, but the prices "include" tip because they do not allow tipping in this restaurant. And, you get PLENTY of food in each set. The price points are extremely reasonable. The lack of tipping does not dilute the service, either. Just like in Japan, the service is top notch and the two times we've been here so far, it has been amazing. The first time we went here we got the Shijiri gallery and we're blown away by the fish and how fresh it tasted. The second time we went we got the signature and the kama. I can't say enough about how good the kama was. This collar was huge, with perfectly crispy skin and smooth buttery meat. The salmon belly and shrimp it came with we're equally cooked to perfection. I don't know how I'm gonna order anything else now that I've had it, it was so insanely good. The signature, though, was not on the same level as the gallery. I can't be certain, but I believe they serve the prime cuts of fish with the gallery and the less than prime cuts with the signature. I felt like the fish in the signature had a more metallic taste than what we got in the gallery. This could be a one off, though. The first time we came we were gifted a plum ice finisher, like their version of an Andes mint but it was plum and yuzu flavored shaved ice. Oh em gee, it was so stinkin' good! I was bummed when we didn't get it the second go. The restaurant itself is small and they fill up quick. The service is fast though, so I don't think you'd be waiting too long if there was a wait on a busy night. Be aware that the chairs are backless, but most tables have a booth component so if you're like me and need a back to your chair to be comfortable, you can sit on the booth side. The restaurant has been extremely clean when we've been there. The back area where the bathrooms are is cluttered and really the only stain in the restaurant as a whole. The bathrooms themselves are emaculate, though. Hopefully they find a way to utilize the space better and declutter that back area. In summary: go here.

The boys went with miso soup, which was flavorful but came out lava hot. Like, ice-cube-required hot. Tasty, but proceed with caution if you have kids. For sushi, we kept it simple and solid with a mix of one classic and two specialty rolls: Spicy Tuna, Phoenix, and the Crunchy Roll. All were fresh, well-made, and hit the spot. The chef curates a multi course and highly personalized tasting menu. My wife and I had the pleasure to partake in this unbelievable experience for our 21st anniversary, and it was hands down one of the best meals we've ever had. Not this month, not just sushi, not just in NC...but one of the top meals of all time anywhere. We had the Grand Omakase, which came out to 10 courses in total. I won't go into detail on each and every course, but let's just say that each and every course was of the highest quality fish, sushi or meat we've had anywhere. From the sushi flown out straight from Japan, to the beluga caviar and A5 Wagyu, and everything in between. We've had sushi across the nation and overseas, 100s of times. This has taken the top #1 spot out of all of them, especially with what we were served in the Grand Omakase package. Impeccable service, 8 sushi chefs all working efficiently at once in an open style sushi kitchen, all within a classy (but not pretentious by any means) establishment. Sadly, I am sorely disappointed. Hailing from Florida, I'm used to high quality raw fish and M Sushi does not deliver this. Claiming they source their fish from Japan may be true, but I question how they store and prepare the fish, as it did not taste fresh. I tried the chirashi bowl, which was not what I was expecting: served on vinegar rice and shaved tomago, the fish was cut into chunks, not the thin slices well trained sushi chefs deliver. The fish tasted bad. Their sushi rolls can make up for the fish flavor by adding over powering ingredients, but their mismatched flavors, like spicy tuna and some kind of fruit sauce, didn't work. The only good thing I had was the truffle white fish dumplings, they were spectacular. Which makes me think I might still enjoy the other M restaurants. Sorry guys, this place just isn't it. My server was excellent, very attentive and knowledgeable.
