We made a reservation for Sat night at 5:30 (reservations were already booked from this time up to 8:30). When we arrived, the place was already half full. It's a nice setting...a little on the dark side from a lighting perspective (or what they may deem romantic :) I was a little disappointed in the beer menu. The IPA's were DIPA, non-alcoholic and one for $11. No thanks. We started with the Crispy Rice Lettuce Wraps ($18) as that's a flapship item. My bride loved it and said she would have it for a meal! I thought it was good....but a little spendy considering there wasn't any chicken or protein. My bride ordered the Sweet Chili Salmon ($30) and really enjoyed it. I went with the Cashew Ginger Chicken Stir-Fry ($26) and it was good...it was a little on the watery side which seemed to dilute the flavor. Service from Piper was very friendly and prompt!

Wow is mainly what I can say. I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine generally, but Bida Manda has been one of the more unique experiences I've had with Asian food in quite some time. The two times I went recently, it was a packed house, so reservations are definitely recommended. There's plenty of street parking within a close walk of the restaurant. We ordered the chicken wings, lettuce wraps, and the pork belly soup. All of them were packed full of flavor and prepared to perfection. The chicken wings had an incredible, almost tempura-like batter to them. And the pork belly soup - omg - there's a reason it's the dish they most recommend. I will definitely be back!

I enjoyed the lettuce wraps. I did not enjoy the Chicken Pad Thai and Shrimp Pad Thai. Both dishes tasted like spaghetti instead of authentic Thai flavored food. The shrimp were also small. The ambience was cozy and colorful. However, the loud noise from chairs scooting on the floors, the closeness of adjacent tables, and the noise level disturbed my peace. I may return again for the lettuce wraps and Lao ice coffee. Service was great. This is a small restaurant, and is it not suitable for large groups or quiet romantic dining.

Back for more!! I stop in for a meal every time I'm in town. Super chill spot close to downtown hotels with light jazz playing quietly overhead. Low lighting and candles adorn the interior. I had dinner and chose the Sweet Chili Salmon again as it was so good last time around. Tonight did not disappoint. The salmon was perfectly cooked and served with lime vinaigrette herb salad and jasmine rice. Service is always so pleasant from the warm welcome at the door through the prompt and polite delivery of their amazing dishes. I look forward to coming back the next time I'm in town. Phenomenal crispy lettuce wraps! Honestly that was such a standout dish. We also had the papaya salad with dill and trout, and the pad lao. Both were fine, but are not dishes that I see myself craving in the future. Also had the mango purple sticky rice, which was solid. The ambiance is perfect for a date night or time with friends; the lighting is bit on the dimmer side but the place is tastefully decorated. Service was good, no complaints there!

This is the perfect spot for a romantic date night. The restaurant has a warm and cozy feel. Just don't sit too close to the door, the cold breeze is VERY strong. The waiter started by telling us the love story of the owners and their wedding photo is displayed when you first walk in. Super cute ! The Crispy Pork Belly Soup Dinner was delicious. Perfect curry tasty and the crispy pork belly had a nice crunch. Everything tasted fresh and cooked to perfection.

The food at Bida Panda is close to perfection - everything is so delicious. I've visited multiple times now, and each dish is full of spice and flavor. Some favorites are the Green Papaya Salad (must have!), lettuce wraps (must have!), crispy pork belly soup, sea bass, and purple rice with mango. Each bite is so delicious, and we rave every time! On top of that, customer service is top notch. The staff are so kind and patient, accommodating to food allergies. They've accommodated to paleo diet, gluten and dairy allergies, etc. Additionally, they often give treats for birthdays, and it isn't uncommon for the staff to just give a free appetizer or dessert, just because! In terms of parking, there's street parking just down the road with a few minute walk. The restaurant is beautifully decorated; cozy but not too tight.

great experience here. had a lovely server, quick service and the ambiance was delightful. we started off with the lettuce wraps which were so refreshing and delicious, I'd give it an 8/10. We wanted to try the spring rolls but we are students on a budget so our waiter suggested those. We got the salmon which was the best thing we ate! 10/10! It was perfectly cooked and warm. The sauce was great as well and I liked that it was a little crispy on the top. I got the pad thai with chicken which was okay! Probably a 7/10! It was good but I think if I came again I would go for a different dish. The curry also looked delicious as well. We ended the meal with a palate cleanser and they brought out a little agar agar dessert to celebrate a promotion! Very nice of them.

Simply THE BEST LAO ICED COFFEE I've ever had. I loved the combination of rich bold coffee with sweet condensed milk. It gave me the perfect jolt of energy i needed to seize the day. The Café Cabana tasted like an espresso martini combined with a chocolate dipped banana (in the best way). It was a fantastic brunch cocktail and was like drinking a fluffy cloud. The service was amazing from start to finish and the atmosphere was very intimate which I enjoyed. I can't wait to go back with friends

OMG BEST seabass of my life. Great service. Awesome salmon device appetizer. Nice ambiance. 2nd time, and we will come back.

5 stars across the board. Friendly staff from host to server and management. Inspired menu and cozy atmosphere. A few standouts include: crispy pork belly soup, salmon ceviche (so good!), and sea bass.

The restaurant was beautiful!! The little attention to details made the atmosphere perfect for friend hangouts, date night, or family gatherings We didn't have reservations and we got lucky with quick seating, and attentive service with great food recs! The fried rice sounds basic BUT I'm still thinking about that dish! Unique gluten free options made everyone at the table experience a great meal!!

This place was a gem. It was quiet (on a Sunday afternoon), our server was helpful, patient & kind, the spring rolls & sauce were SOO GOOD, the rest of the meal was quite nice as well (needed a but more heat for me but great textures & good flavor).

I ordered the lo mein, bamboo flounder fish, and a side of fried rice. TLDR: I was so disappointed! The vibe is cool, and the hostess was sweet as can be. But our waiter started off rough when we asked him what the sauce on the shrimp bao was and he looked at us blankly and said he really didn't know how to describe it. We eventually figured out that it should be analogous to bang bang sauce, so we ordered those, the brisket bao, & the potstickers to share, plus we each got a taco (shrimp for her and tuna for me). We also ordered the strawberry basil rum-based cocktail to share. The cocktail was ok to me and unpalatable to her - it didn't have even a hint of discernible basil flavor. It tasted like the strawberry daiquiris my parents made in the early 90s except poured over ice instead of frozen. It was fine, but not worth the price to me. Then it was on to the bao. They were both weirdly moist on one side, like they had been sitting on the plate too long. The filling was good, but eating the bun was like eating wet bread. We ate the filling and left the buns (disappointing for the price!). The shrimp is fried and the sauce was good. I was surprised to prefer the brisket - it is quite spicy, though! Next we tried the potstickers. They were decent but nothing outstanding. I am no potsticker aficionado but they seemed very similar to the fried dumplings at Bul Box... but more expensive and less tasty. Last were the tacos. My friend took one bite of hers and made a weird face before placing it back on the plate and pushing it away - she said it just was not good. I saved my tuna poke lettuce wrap taco for last because it sounded so good, and the waiter had pronounced it the best thing on the menu when I ordered it. It was the biggest disappointment of the night. It wasn't wrapped at all; it was just a piece of lettuce with toppings piled on it. The lettuce was too floppy and wilted to use it as a taco. There was too much of whatever was wet in the toppings - there was literally a wet puddle around it. There were so many green onions in it I couldn't even pick them all out (they are not in the menu description, and I hate them). And the tuna, while beautiful in appearance, was variable in quality. Some chunks were great; some chunks had a weird texture like the stuff you cut off of chicken when you're cleaning it. And some was so fishy I had to spit it out. I estimate I ate about half of it. So overall, some things were good, some things were not, and some were in between. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could but I rounded up. At a lower price point I'd be more forgiving, perhaps. But I won't seek it out again.
