I love this place! So glad you are in Raleigh! Great menu- love the fusion (though could you please cut the poke up into slightly smaller pieces?) Drinks are solid, outdoor seating a plus, waitstaff really knowledgeable and helpful. Love this place- a dine in and door dash favorite for us! read more

I've been desperately wanting to try this place since I heard it was coming to Raleigh, so when a friend and I found ourselves leaving a nearby event and looking for dinner, I jumped at the chance to try it. TLDR: I was so disappointed! The vibe is cool, and the hostess was sweet as can be. But our waiter started off rough when we asked him what the sauce on the shrimp bao was and he looked at us blankly and said he really didn't know how to describe it. We eventually figured out that it should be analogous to bang bang sauce, so we ordered those, the brisket bao, & the potstickers to share, plus we each got a taco (shrimp for her and tuna for me). We also ordered the strawberry basil rum-based cocktail to share. The cocktail was ok to me and unpalatable to her - it didn't have even a hint of discernible basil flavor. It tasted like the strawberry daiquiris my parents made in the early 90s except poured over ice instead of frozen. It was fine, but not worth the price to me. Then it was on to the bao. They were both weirdly moist on one side, like they had been sitting on the plate too long. The filling was good, but eating the bun was like eating wet bread. We ate the filling and left the buns (disappointing for the price!). The shrimp is fried and the sauce was good. I was surprised to prefer the brisket - it is quite spicy, though! Next we tried the potstickers. They were decent but nothing outstanding. I am no potsticker aficionado but they seemed very similar to the fried dumplings at Bul Box... but more expensive and less tasty. Last were the tacos. My friend took one bite of hers and made a weird face before placing it back on the plate and pushing it away - she said it just was not good. I saved my tuna poke lettuce wrap taco for last because it sounded so good, and the waiter had pronounced it the best thing on the menu when I ordered it. It was the biggest disappointment of the night. It wasn't wrapped at all; it was just a piece of lettuce with toppings piled on it. The lettuce was too floppy and wilted to use it as a taco. There was too much of whatever was wet in the toppings - there was literally a wet puddle around it. There were so many green onions in it I couldn't even pick them all out (they are not in the menu description, and I hate them). And the tuna, while beautiful in appearance, was variable in quality. Some chunks were great; some chunks had a weird texture like the stuff you cut off of chicken when you're cleaning it. And some was so fishy I had to spit it out. I estimate I ate about half of it. So overall, some things were good, some things were not, and some were in between. I'd give it 2.5 stars if I could but I rounded up. At a lower price point I'd be more forgiving, perhaps. But I won't seek it out again. read more

This restaurant is literally next door to my new office, so some colleagues and I went for lunch midweek. For some reason, I thought this was a fast-casual restaurant but it's definitely sit-down. Food was what I expected: a fusion of Latin and Asian. Our waiter was very professional and thorough with his recommendations and order-taking. My colleagues ordered various taco combos, but I was more interested in the beef bulgogi bowl, which was find and filling. There are plenty of beverage options but since we were there for lunch, we stayed with soft drinks. Our party enjoyed their meal, and I'm sure we will be back. In fact, one of them already booked another office lunch here. read more

First and foremost love the concept! Tuna poke lettuce wrap 10/10. Seared shrimp was too salty. The moo shu mushrooms were charred and I felt like they tried to soak the mushrooms in the sauce and that made it worse. My husband and daughter loved their tacos. Great thing is they have so many options.... My family and I will be back. PS is was too cold. read more

We finally got a chance to try Wings Tacos today and it was as described! A beautiful blend of my two favorite cuisines Mexican and Asian!! They have a great cocktail Menu unfortunately I'm preggers so I couldn't try anything but I'll be back in due time! We started with the chorizo egg rolls which were crunchy and juicy and full of flavor, we also had the brisket bao which was fluffy and packed with ingredients! We had four tacos as well the grouper, the jerk chicken( needs a little heat),grilled shrimp and the shrimp tempura!! My favorite was the shrimp tempura!! I had a great time at Wong's Tacos! Service was great, and the decor inside was really fun. We ordered the poke nachos to start, and I'm so glad we did. It was HUGE and the fish tasted so fresh. The wonton chips were also very crispy. For the tacos, I ordered the Wong John Silver taco and the El Blanco Taco. I would've given my experience 5 stars, but there was so little fish in the Wong John Silver taco. The El Blanco taco tasted like your average ground beef taco and was quite soggy when it arrived (due to the salsa on top). Still tasted good though. I will come back again to try the other creative taco options! read more

Wong's Tacos is a really fun spot with all sorts of interesting tacos and fusion dishes. The tuna nachos in particular were the standout for me. Will definitely be ordering this every time. I think the nachos are kind of hit or miss depending on what you order, some of them were great, some of them didn't turn out how I thought they would taste. But with so many options, I would just order several and see what sticks. Overall a great spot and will be back to try out other menu items. read more

Let's see what can I say about WT.... Its a Mexican Asian fusion joint that tries to mix it up a lil bit. First its a secluded area behind Crabtree Mall in a new area so kind of an anchor for the new complex .. Plenty of parking which is a plus ! Love the wall paper in here .. kinda want it for my own little hideout ;-) Servers and host were nice and attentive . Bar is pretty massive and fully stocked. Now onto the food .. Food was not bad .. I had the soft shell crab tacos which were delicious but could use a lil more flavor or spice to kick it up a notch. The black pepper chicken skillet was mehhh lacked alot of flavor and seasoning, tried squeezing a bunch of limes and adding some sauces didnt help it much which sucked... had high expectations for it .. even asked for more sauce for it since it was very dry. The mexicanesse fried rice was pretty good .. had alot of flavor to it . The shrooms tacos weren't bad either.. I think this place has potential ut definitely needs to up its flavor game to make it in this area. Concept is cool but needs to be better executed read more

I came here on a Friday night for the first time and it was fairly empty. I came across it on Yelp when looking for a place to enjoy dinner. I was excited to try the Asian-Mexican fusion concept as I enjoy trying new things and fusion concepts appeal to me. Pros: Would be good for a larger party since it was plenty of seating with no wait. Food came out FAST. Prices not bad at all. Sides were under $5 and tacos mostly too and cocktails around $10. Cons: The cocktail I got was awful. It had boba in it, but they don't give you a boba straw to get it out. It tasted bland and watered down. I couldn't drink it. The food was just ok. The shrimp tempura taco lacked flavor and the brisket in the bao bun wasn't tender. However, the street corn was good and the grilled pineapple was a very welcomed side on the menu and tasted good. The booths aren't very comfortable and the music is a bit loud, but not off putting; you could still carry on a conversation. If you're looking for a quick/easy place to grab a decent priced meal, I say go for it and I hope they improve with time. However, I think the location will make it difficult to survive unless they really get better at executing and develop a real following, and that means the food has to be excellent. read more

We decided to try this new fusion restaurant. Went on a Saturday afternoon at what we thought was an off time, but they were still doing a good business. They have indoor and outdoor seating. We chose in. We were seated with one of us on a half booth and the other in a chair. Not the most comfy, but it was fine. Menu has a lot of interesting items to choose from, but it is difficult to find ones that aren't fried. Food was good. We both very much liked the Three Amigos, with nicely seasoned chips, queso, guacamole and pico. All of which tasted nice and fresh. I wanted something fairly light, so I got the Brisket Bao, which came with two very rich Bao. Delicious. Very messy. Very juicy, which I was hoping wasn't pure oil. I took one home with me. Husband got the Beef Bulgogi Fajitas which were HUGE. One of those extremely rare times where he took a lot home. Although he probably could have finished it if we hadn't gotten the appetizer. He loved it. I tasted it and you definitely have to like cilantro. Service was okay. Gal was moving as fast as she could. She definitely wasn't familiar with the menu yet, but didn't hesitate to get the answers when she didn't. , read more

Dining at Wong's Tacos was a great experience. They've done an amazing job with the ambience and hiring the best staff. Our server Michelle knew exactly what we were craving and had ZERO problem providing recommendations. I'd also suggest ordering 2-4 tacos per person. Personally, the Shrimp Tempura and Wong John Silver taco were my favorites. This is fusion food, so don't expect the normal street corn and mayo base. I was hoping it'd be a bit more creamier. I was informed that it was a sour cream base which changes the flavor profile quite a bit. read more

I thought this was more of a fast casual place before going, since most taco places in Raleigh are. This is actually a sit down restaurant, and one of the hostesses was quite snarky when we showed up with a group of 10 without calling ahead of time. We were fine waiting for them to move tables, and the place was pretty empty. It seemed unnecessary for her to respond that way. After getting seated, everything was great. There are so many unique menu items. My husband and I split some crispy potstickers. They were very good! I got the Korean Beef Bulgogi Burrito. I liked the crispy wonton chips it came with, and the burrito was enough for me to take some home. I would be interested to try some of the tacos next time! read more

I enjoyed Wong's Tacos so much on my first visit less than two weeks ago that I've already been back. My Mom and I went for a late afternoon lunch/early dinner on Monday. We were the ONLY people sitting in the dining room at all. There were exactly three people sitting at the bar. So there was a grand total of five customers in the restaurant. Not surprising for the time of day. We each ordered a margarita. We waited a bit and then ordered an appetizer. We waited a bit and then each ordered one taco and one side item. The appetizer (chips and queso) came out quickly and was as delicious as before. Then the tacos came out. My chicken taco was super dry and not good. The. Margaritas. Never. Came. I asked our server to cancel the margarita order as we both wanted to drink our drinks before eating. I know the server had put the order in as they do it on a handheld device. The server apologized and said the bar was "backed up because there was only one bartender there". Ummmmmmm. There were FIVE people total in the whole place!! What was the bartender even doing? She was not even at the bar most of the time we were there. They DEFINITELY need a new bartender if the woman can't make drinks for five people. I am extremely disappointed that this was my Mom's experience her first time going there and I can tell you it will be a very long time before I go back if I ever go back. read more

Enjoyable lunch today! A friend found this new place (they've been open about ten days) by searching for "Hot and New" on Yelp. Great choice! It's in a quiet area, near Crabtree Mall. It's an Asian/Mexican fusion restaurant. Unusual, but it works. When we arrived, we were seated immediately. Unfortunately, our hostess put us at a table with a "breeze"--the air conditioner was cold and blowing right on us. At my request, she moved us to the next table, which was better, but it was still uncomfortable. Out server was cordial and knowledgeable, and he kept calling us "friends." He gave us plenty of time to decide what to order, and our food came to the table within 15 minutes. I liked my Crispy Brussels Sprouts Taco (although it came to the table cold). I also really liked my well-seasoned Chili-Lime Chicken Taco and my El Blanco Taco. Both were only room temp, but I think that was because of the cold air blowing on them. Tacos come with a choice of flour tortilla, corn tortilla, or lettuce wrap. My friend loved his huge Epic Chorizo Chimichanga, and he ate the whole thing! They also have lots of bowls and other options. Prices were reasonable, the restaurant was clean and bright (but breezy!), and the location was good. Our server told us they're already doing a brisk lunch business. That's great! This is a fun and different concept for the area. read more

Popped into the new Wong's Tacos on its first day and was pleasantly surprised. Convenient location in the Glenlake development behind Crabtree Valley Mall, Wong's Tacos offers up "Mexanese (Mexican-Chinese) cuisine. Think Asian tacos, Latino bao and egg rolls! It's a tasty mash-up of flavors, I enjoyed by crispy pot-stickers and tacos I tried. Very affordable with all menu items under $20, table service and full bar with cocktails. May 30, 2026 was the third time that we have eaten at Wong's Tacos and the second time that Jordan was out waitress. I had the 3 taco bento box with guacamole. The Wong John Silver taco has been our favorite taco. My wife ordered the brussel sprouts appetizer with other veggies as her favorite. The grilled pineapple was good, but I was expecting warm pineapple rings, so we will skip this. Jordan suggested the churros dessert and it was amazing - 4 warm churros with cinnamon sugar and whipped cream was a perfect end to our great lunch! We will be back as their are still tacos that we haven't tried! Thanks Jordan! read more

We made the drive from Apex/Cary to try Wongs for lunch. Great atmosphere, nice staff, and fun concept! Went with the family- we had two of the boa buns as an appetizer (shrimp and beef) and then everyone ordered something different. The flavors were there for sure and I will definitely get the Brussel sprout tacos again- they were perfect!l Daughter loved the quesadillas (and she is picky) - the chicken was great and they were thoroughly filled. The only reason I kept this at a 4 star instead of a 5 was the brisket was a little dry and the sauce on the poke made them a little slimy feeling. We splurged for the churros for dessert and highly recommend. Great new spot and definitely worth giving it a try!! read more

Just opened, had to stop in to see what was up! Very pleasantly surprised by both the variety on the menu and how well prepared the food was. Started with the chips with Guacamole, Queso and Pico. The guacamole was very good and all three were quite excellent! Ordered tacos, we got the crispy Brussels taco, the Char Siu pork belly, Korean Braised Brisket and the Wong John Silver which was a piece of fried Mahi-Mahi. All the tacos had a nice contrast of textures and flavors; served on flour tortillas but they do offer an option of corn tortillas or a lettuce wrap. For a new restaurant they had good service, not a huge dining room, but a mix of booths and tables and a large bar. Had a couple of TVs with hockey playing so maybe it's going for a "sports bar" demographic. Plenty of parking, both in front of the restaurant and a parking garage. Overall, a really good spot and worth a visit! read more

It was a Friday afternoon after intense pain which landed me in Fast Med urgent care. shot Thursday late evening gave me relief to drop in for my fav nachos at Wongs. Normally I only eat chicken breast but the braised chicken thighs here are so full of slow braised flavor no sinue bones etc just pure goodness. The Masters was on smarttvs weather was positively perfect for al fresco or dining inside which I did. My server was prompt and very accommodating. Starting first with Blanco and Jerk tacos plus side of guacamole. Tea was exceptionally good fresh not had great tea since Persimmons its crazy that as southern as NC foodie roots are something so simple can be make or break when dining. My tacos arrived quickly very well plated and as always full portions and flavors for palate. The crunch profile in each elevated by tender moist meats and well prepared tortillas. A sheer of guacamole seals deal for perfect bite of fusion of Mex-Asian. I decided to order the chorizo egg rolls at end in to go container knowing I couldn't eat them all. Another filing flavorful visit! read more

Wong's surpassed my expectations. I really enjoyed my dining experience. A fellow Yelper invited me out for lunch and I gladly accepted. Parking was seamless with the small restaurant lot and attached parking garage. I love all of the LED art and the layout of this restaurant. A beautiful patio for fall dining and cooler days. Today was a cooler day. We arrived for 12:30 and were seated promptly. It was not busy and there were plenty of dining tables to choose from. Roberto was our waiter and he was excellent. Very attentive. I decided on the Tequila Mockingbird cocktail which is very similar to a Piña colada with tequila. Very well made and beautifully garnished. My friend had a strawberry basil cocktail. I was very impressed by the presentation of the food at Wong's. They really captivated me with this. For entrees we decided on The Korean Brisket Bimbimbap bowl and my friend had Wong's Nachos. These dishes were plated beautifully. I really enjoyed my bimbimbap. Tender brisket, oyster mushrooms, pickled cucumber, radish, purple cabbage, green scallions and a perfectly cooked egg to top it off. So nourishing ! Delicious. The Wong's nachos have left me drooling. They looked so delicious. My friend was blown away. I anticipate returning to enjoy the patio, happy hour and Taco Tuesday. Im so happy more restaurants like Wong's, that offer a unique dining experience are coming to the Crabtree-Glenlake- Wood Valley area. So close to home and convenient for me to gather with loved ones. read more

Great new spot in Raleigh with some delicious tacos. We went the first week they were open so it was slammed busy and they were out of quite a few things, but still a great experience! They have mastered the seasoning pallet for Korean and Mexico fusion food! Let's start with the decor and parking! There are plenty of locations to park at no charge. The inside was so well decorated even down to the wall paper. 5 out of 5 Bathrooms: As a firm believer in the way the bathroom is kept is equal to kitchen representation. So happy to see how well it was taken care of little water splashes but over all nothing to worry about. 5 out of 5 Food: 1. Mexicanise Fride Rice - side item has beans and Mexican rice pretty good 5 out of 5 2. Mexican Street Corn - I honesty really loved there version of Mexican Street Rice. (From someone who doesn't like street corn) 5 out of 5 3. Bao Buns - we did 1 shrimp and 1 chicken. I personally like the chicken the best but the shrimp has a lot of boom boom shrimp vibes but was well done over all the chicken was just to good! 5 out of 5 4. Korean Brisket Bimbimbop - Korean food to me always has a strong spice to it but with the Brisket. And I was completely shocked at how they do there gatjujung sauce had a nice sweet hint to it to help break the spice down. Really reinventing this normal staple and so well done I want to go back! 7 out of 5 5. Mr Wong Big burrito - spice was well done, the sauce on the side was my fav! Came with chips and guacamole. The burrito has a bit of a kick to it heads up. I want the sauce in a bottle to go please!!! 5 out of 5 6. Cheesecake egg roll - it was sweet but not to much the strawberry sauce on top made it sweeter but over all I loved it and so glad we tried it! 4 out of 5 Last but not least Service! A huge huge thank you to our waitress we had sooo many questions and so many different things we wanted to try and do. She handled like a pro! Wongs Tacos is so lucky to have her as an employee. She alone made this experience 100 out of 10 and will most definitely be coming back! But also let all our friends know to try it too!!! read more

It was a bit crowded and chilly inside so we sat outside on the patio, it's not covered btw. We got the chorizo egg rolls to start which was two eggrolls cut into halves and they were pretty good and filling. Since it was taco Tuesday it was $1 off all tacos. I got the Wong John silver and jerk chicken taco. Both were delicious and seasoned perfect. The taco size was pretty decent to me. In the mood for something delicious and unique? How about Asian inspired tacos. Wongs Tacos has such a unique menu. Do chorizo eggrolls sound like something you have seen before? How about tempura wings? These are just two of their unique appetizers. Tacos sound good but maybe you want some fluffy bao buns, Wongs has you covered. I tried the braised Korean beef tacos, the bulgogi asada taco and the Wong John Silver taco. All three tacos brought a unique and equally delicious blend of flavor to the table. I also added a well done side of kimchi slaw. Do yourself a favor and get the Crouching Churrros's, Hidden Carmel, you will not be disappointed.
