Their website advertises a lunch menu available "DAILY" -- I planned my visit around it and was told at the door it's only offered 3 days a week. When I pointed to their own website, I was told I should have called ahead to verify their information was correct before coming in. My bill had a charge for chicken I never ordered, and a Bud Light rung up at $5.50 when the menu sitting on the table lists it at $4.00. The first correction was wrong. The second correction was still wrong. When I brought it up a staff member told me my math was off -- the manager's comp confirmed otherwise. Three billing issues in one visit, each one requiring me to catch it myself. No apologies, just pushback every step of the way. Mixed it up last night and I had the beef Birria flautas and she had Birria tacos! Oh, and I ordered a passionfruit margarita and had them make it spicy and it might have been the best margarita ever! The hot with the passionfruit worked so well together. We love this place and the cocktails come in three different sizes: 12 ounce, 20 ounce, and 1/2 pitcher. I had one of the 12 ounces and it was $8 and that's an awesome price for fancy cocktails! Campo Taco Co. is open for lunch and dinner and is located underneath the The Row Raleigh apartments, in the Shops and Restaurants at Rockway. There's a convenient parking deck available with 2 hours of free parking. I stopped in with a group for a late lunch and had a great experience. The lunch menu is a really good deal--I ordered the Pollo Fundido with a Shirley Temple, and it hit the spot. My wife and I were excited to try this new taco spot when we heard about it. I thought I was walking into a fast casual counter service restaurant, but I was mistaken. Moments after I netting we had been escorted to a wide, comfortable booth and being served complimentary chips. This is a full service restaurant, and a good one! The salsa that they serve has a nice heat and depth to it. We also ordered the queso, and it had a deep, cheesy flavor that did not disappoint. It was not at all bland like some other queso's. The servers checked on us frequently and brought our food out quickly. And the food was good! Everything we had was so delicious. My wife loved her tacos as much as I loved my enchiladas. And the value was terrific too. This food is far from overpriced. The 3.5 dollar tacos are loaded with meat. And barely any dishes were more than $13.50. I cannot wait to go back. I stopped in here for a late lunch because I heard they had great lunch deals, and I was not disappointed. I was greeted by my very kind server, who, throughout my time there, went above and beyond to provide amazing service. While they have many amazing and well-priced lunch dishes to choose from, I went with their steak fajita quesadilla. While I waited for my food, the server brought over chips and salsa. They salsa tasted fresh and it was delightfully spicy. My meal arrived shortly after I ordered and it was perfect. Deliciously cheesy with rice and refried beans to enjoy with it. I was also able to do some work on my computer while I ate. Truly a perfect spot to stop in for a quick lunch or to telework. The chips and salsa were delicious and dangerous, you may find yourself chomping on them too much! I loved the guava margarita, it had great flavor without being overly sweet. I really wanted tacos and I loved that I could mix and match. I ordered the asada, pork belly, and Baja fish. The pork belly was my favorite, the sauce was delicious. This is a great new Mexican restaurant! They give you free chips and salsa, and the salsa is one of the better salsas. It has a nice flavor and kick. We also got the queso, which is very good. I got a birria taco and a carnitas taco. They were pretty big, and two tacos plus chips with queso was more than enough for me. It wasn't very busy when we went, so our food came out quickly. We walked over to Campo to give it a try. The hostess that seats you was taking a bunch of take out orders which meant we had to wait to sit down. It was around 6:50 and the sun was pouring in. I had to position myself so that I didn't get a sunburn. Maybe consider blinds or window tint? All the booths are located together adjacent to the bar and were taken so we sat at a large table pushed together in the center. You get free chips and salsa. The chips were crunchy with great texture. The margaritas have multiple flavors and I enjoyed the blood orange one. Several other customers had the tower which looked fun. I had the chicken quesadilla and the meat had great grilled flavor. My husband had the enchiladas and enjoyed the beef one and the chicken one and the accompanied sauces. The bean one was bland but the queso sauce on top was creamy and tasty. I would definitely return and try something different. The portions are plentiful! read more

This is more of a 3.5, I really wanted to like this place. The margarita flights is what brought me here. They have 9 flavors to choose from and the flight is a set of 4. I chose blackberry, dragonfruit, guava and passion fruit. The presentation was really cute. Not on the strong side for me though more sweet and tart than anything. Chips and salsa also were given to us to start and the chips were really fresh. I ordered the campo bowl and choice chicken and steak for my protein, cilantro rice and refried beans. It also came with lettuce, pico, roasted corn and sour cream. The meal lacked flavor and I asked for like a sauce to go with it but my options were either ranch or hot sauce. It was just missing something. Our server was really kind and very attentive. The manger came by as well and checked in. The place is new so it's bright and clean in there. Great Mexican restaurant with good food and beverage choices. Service was quick and very pleasant.

TLDR: used bandaid in my burrito I have worked in restaurants for over 10 years and currently work in downtown raleigh. this is the nastiest thing I have ever encountered. I ordered $60 worth of take out on 2/1/25. I ate almost my entire burrito. I happened to look down while taking my next bite and there was a used bandaid inside of my burrito. I almost ate it. I am horrified. We immediately packed up all of the food and brought it back to the restaurant, which was pretty busy. We asked to see a manager. The manager would only speak to my boyfriend and not me. He immediately said he was going to ask the BOH staff. He came back and said that no one was wearing a bandaid and that everyone was wearing gloves. I informed him that I currently work at a restaurant and it is extremely unsafe to not wear gloves - especially with any open wounds or bandaids. He again reiterated that everyone was wearing gloves. He did not take accountability for his restaurant - which made me feel like no staff re-training would occur. He offered us a refund and asked if we would like another meal. no thanks! If the bandaid was inside of the rice or one of the other ingredients, all of the food would be contaminated. I worried about the other people eating there because it did not seem like the manager would inspect anything further. Before writing this review, I wanted to give the restaurant another chance to make things right or at least make sure this wouldn't happen again to another customer. Consuming a USED BANDAID is extremely unsanitary and unsafe. I called the restaurant the following day, 2/2/25 and asked if the GM or the owner was currently there. The woman on the phone said that he was and asked what this was regarding. I told her that I was following up about an issue with a takeout order. She said the manager was in the bathroom and that he would call me back in 15 minutes. She said they have caller ID and repeated back my phone number. The manager never called back the entire night. This restaurant not only does not follow proper food handling procedures, but also lacked accountability following a very serious incident. I do not believe they are re training their staff or telling them the severity of what they did. I could have gotten sick. I'm still worried that the person who was wearing the bandaid could have an illness that could pass to me. This really is the worst thing you could do to a customer. read more

My girlfriend and I joined another couple for dinner this past Saturday to check out this new spot, and while we were excited to try it, unfortunately the experience fell short due to our server. From the moment we sat down, our server. I believe her name was Ildia, set a tone that made the evening uncomfortable. She was noticeably pushy from the start. Shortly after taking our drink orders, she asked if we were ready to order food. We politely let her know we'd like to start with an appetizer and needed a moment to look over the menu. Rather than accommodating that request, she pressed us on what appetizer we wanted before we'd even had a chance to browse. When we asked for just a minute to look, she responded with a visibly irritated expression and walked away. This pattern continued throughout the meal. Each time we expressed that we weren't ready to move to the next step whether ordering entrees or wrapping up she reacted with the same impatience and frustration. It was noticeable enough that all four of us exchanged glances, though no one said anything at the time. At the end of the night, things took a further turn. When we mentioned we'd like another round of drinks before closing out, she brought me a tequila shot I never ordered. When I calmly tried to explain the mix-up, she became visibly short and dismissive. The correct drinks did eventually arrive, but when she returned with the check, it was split incorrectly between the two couples and still included the tequila shot. Rather than cause a scene, my friend and I simply split the difference and paid. Not to mention it was 9:50 at this point restaurant closes at 11:00 and no one else was in her section. We genuinely wanted to love this place, and the food itself wasn't the issue. But the experience we had made it clear we won't be returning. Hospitality goes a long way, and unfortunately it was missing from our visit. read more

Showed up, sat at the bar while we waited for a table and the bar tender took 20+ minutes before she even asked for a drink order. Eventually got our table, still missing one drink, and we never had a waiter give us a menu until we asked a random worker walking by after 30 minutes. We eventually decided to close out and leave, and when the server then took 10+ minutes to bring the check, it was found out the missing drink was never even ordered by the bartender.
