Funny prices! Lol

Mocha was good. Not bitter. Hot chocolate could have been stronger with more chocolate. Tried this place on a whim as I just wanted some non-Starbucks coffee yumminess. When we pulled up, I truly thought we were at a biker bar or something. lol but my adventure side said "try it". So we did. Definitely a very uniquely decorated place for sure. Would have made my church-going mama blush. lol Service was friendly and prompt. Can't say we would return as it's not "my cup of tea" kindly place lol, but I encourage others to try.

Visited this spot after run club around Centennial campus. Found that apparently I love metal music in the morning. Just off of Maywood, it's part coffee shop part music venue. Not too crowded since we got there just a little bit after they opened. They have their standard menu and then specials - this month is Valentine's/Love themed, so I got the honey rose latte. It was very good! They might need to make that one a recurring item. I would love to come back for a music event.

Unique live music venue and coffee shop off Lake Wheeler road. For drinks, they offer coffee, tea, lattes, bagged coffee beans, cocktails, draft beer, and more. The drinks have creative names and combinations. For instance, Funeral Fog, A Fine Day to Chai, and Black Widow. For food, they sell baked goods from Groovy Duck Bakery and Ella's craft popcorn. They also have food trucks during lunch hours and at events.

Tried the flat white. It was decent but not memorable. The milk was well-steamed. The barista was friendly. Prices are fair.

Such a cool coffee and metal venue. You don't have to be a rock fan to enjoy their coffee but metal fans will so appreciate this place!! Next time I am coming at night for a metal show.

The Bones Bar and concert venue in background

First time here today. It felt like a coffee shop meets a concert venue meets goth nite. Plenty of seating on the plush red velvet comfy church pews, or the solid black cafe' seating, or the bones bar. Of course, all the walls are BLACK and so is the ceiling. Even the corrugated, insulated coffee cups are solid black. The music playing over the suspended speakers was very nice. It wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear the whirring of the cappuccino machine or have a conversation. It was perfect background volume. We arrived fashionably late; about 10 min before curtain call. This venue has been in Raleigh since February of this year and is located in a super industrial area, which ads to the goth/speakeasy vibe. It was cold&rainy when we chose to visit. The warm "Funeral Fog;" a London Fog tea w/vanilla flavoring&oat milk and "Cappuccinosferatu" really helped to warm our cockles and our hands. I think this is THE best cuppa tea I have ever drank.

1st : Cheesecake PSL 2nd : Scream S'more Latte Both delicious!

Whiskey kitchen !!!!! Wowzers !!…read more Let me tell you this place is 10/10! The food , the drinks and the service.. I wish I could come daily as it definitely is a great spot. One part whiskey bar and one part southern kitchen this is a win in downtown Raleigh! Known for their small plates and shareable, they do have entree and main dishes along with a great selection of whiskey. The shrimp and grits were alittle to saucy for me but my nephew had no problem finishing it for me lol. We will definitely be back!

My boyfriend and I dined here for a date night and I had really hoped for better. The first thing I…read morenoticed upon arriving was how dead it was, especially considering we went on a Friday night at 6:30PM. My boyfriend is a huge whiskey drinker and had been wanting to visit here for a while. He had heard that the best Old Fashioned were here (he said that it was not that great), and while they did have bougie cocktails, I settled for a margarita. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere and decor were great! I am a plant person, so I loved seeing all of the plants. I love the open concept and exposed ceiling. But the food......was displeasing and unappetizing. I ordered the lamp burger, and while I ordered it as well done, I did not know that it would be presented overcooked with a charred outside. If you know lamb, this caused the meat to be extremely dry. The burger itself was very bland and lacked much flavor. My boyfriend ordered the Fireman's Chicken and by the looks of it when it came out, someone should have called the fire department while it was cooking! It was so burnt it was black. The only flavor present was charred meat and it was the most dried out chicken we have ever had (unfortunately I tried it). The collard greens were bitter with little flavor and the black-eyed peas still had crunch to where they weren't cooked all the way. To say all this, to have a $100 bill was HIGHLY unappreciated as it was one of the worst meals we have had in a LONG time. I definitely could see why they were not busy. The food was cooked terrible. And I will note that it isn't that I am picky, the couple next to us barely ate their meal and looked just as dissatisfied as we were. We would NOT recommend!

The drink was as expected. No notes there. The meatballs were huge and I could not finish them all. Both were great for the price. This rooftop bar doesn't get nearly the attention it deserves. Walking into the rooftop restaurant it feels like a causal and relaxed vibe with sweeping views of trees in the distance and the Martin Marietta Center in the distance. To be seated you'll check in with the host and then be shown to your table. You have the choice of sitting inside or outside. We opted to sit inside as it was in the high 90s that day. After sitting at our table for a while we figured out that we needed to order at the counter. This is a bit confusing as we were seated as if we would have a server come by. For appetizers we ordered the Charcuterie & Cheese Board (Three artisan cured meats and three cheeses of chef's choice served with toasted pita and seasonal accoutrements). The board was okay but the quality (bread tasted store bought and not fresh) doesn't match the price point. To our surprise the online QR code menu stated that the charcuterie & cheese board was $13, and the staff tried to explain that the boards were $13/each when I received my bill. For drinks I ordered the Strawberry Jalapeño Margarita which was excellent and had a good spice to it. We also happened to be there on complimentary wine tasting night and the wine was excellent. I also stepped outside and walked around to see the city views and this would be perfect on a cool weather day. Overall the drinks and views are great. Not sure if I'll return due to the menu containing misleading pricing, but glad we finally were able to stop by.

It's got modern, slightly rustic vibes, lit brightly for the art gallery in the back room. There's a good amount of seating and it's not completely filled with the undergrad crowd like other bars in the area. I see they host a book club and if I lived in Raleigh, I'd be all over that-- this is the perfect atmosphere! They have a nice bubbles by the glass selection (4 options, including a Lambrusco), which is really impressive since so many wine bars give you one, two at most. Vegan options on the menu include hummus, olives and pickles. I was planning to eat there, but time got away from me and they do a strict closing time, so maybe next time.
