These tacos are SO good that I've been wanting them since I first tried them. I came by on a whim after going to the hair salon next door and decided to try a bunch of random tacos. For starters, it's a clean space with both indoor and outdoor seating. I went on a tuesday before 12 so it was empty and my food came out fast. I got the barbacoa, carne asada, shrimp, and crispy fish taco on a flour tortilla. Other than the barbacoa which I just wasn't a fan of- I loved every taco. They all were flavorful and just melting in my mouth. I got them dirty style- which meant they came with onions and cheese and were on a flour tortilla. I was super full and satisfied after this meal and would recommend this spot!

Tasty tacos and super fresh guac! We didn't have drinks but the bar looked well stocked and inviting for a drink after work or to watch the game.

The Pollo al Carbon, Al Pastor and Carne Asada tacos

Decided to try Tacos Bamba in the Ridgewood shopping center on Wade Ave. Nice place, order at the counter in the back. The cashier was friendly and my tacos were brought outside. The outdoor tables were nice, and bug-free which was nice. Here's the breakdown of my lunch: Pollo al Carbon Decent corn tortillas, doubled Decent onion and cilantro Salty, a bit messy, seems to have a chorizo component to it which may account for the saltiness Good taco $4.50 Al Pastor Decent char, a few pieces of gristle Most of The pineapple pieces were inedible because they were from the center of the fruit. Salty as well, but overall nice spice level Average taco $4.50 Carne Asada A bit of char Salty Very very good pieces of steak, but no real flavor after the hit of salt. If there's a marinade it's super dilute or not evenly applied. Fix the marinade issue and this could be one of the best carne asada tacos in the area. Slightly above average taco overall $5.00 La Bamba, like many "upscale" taco-centric places charges for chips and salsa (like $3.25). What is that all about? Seriously, just stop. Folks are already kind of overpaying for these tacos and they're getting ripped off for chips and salsa too?

This restaurant is spacious with a lot of seating. After placing your order at one counter you pick it up at another one. I asked if I could substitute flour tortillas for one of my tacos two tacos. The clerk told me that she could but didn't tell me that there would be an additional charge of 0.50 cents to do so. I don't mind paying extra but I would appreciate being told that there are extra fees to do so. The tacos were filling & had a lot of meat. They tasted good but the Barbacoa was a little salty & the lamb birria didn't come with consommé. There is an extra charge for it. All of the birria tacos I've had in the past included consommé without an extra charge. I asked the clerk if the corn tortillas were cooked and cashier said yes. My tortilla wasn't cooked.

Came across this place through the offline Raleigh Durham service - The place is a little confusing at first but as you walk in you understand where to order and pickup ! It has a great vibe and good crowd! We got 4 tacos (2 regular and 2 speciality) Birria and chorizo from the traditionale menu and taserface and taco bamba from the neustro(speciality) while taco bamba was very good too, Taser face taco blew us away! It was the perfect melange of everything we never knew was needed in a taco! Sweet spice crunch and everything nice! Had to go get another one bcz one of it was not satiating enough! One of the most elite taco experiences we've had in a while Would definitely be back to try more items

Sweet Baby Jesus and Wolfpack Poutine.

Place is nice, but tacos start at $4 for a standard taco, and $5.50 for specialty tacos. No combos with rice or beans. But the rice and beans for about $4 is large enough to share. No chips included either. Orders include free coffee! I don't drink coffee. I had a "Sweet Baby Jesus" and a Wolfpack Poutine". Tacos are standard small tacos. Tasted good. Big covered porch outside. Pets welcome. Gave one star for that.

Queen Bee Taco

The food here is always excellent. Menu is creative and blends regional dishes into Mexican dishes with aplomb. Guacamole is fabulous, and I'm picky about guac. Arrive is always patient, timely. The music is a tad loud, however, it covers the noise from Wade Ave.

First time visiting here and the indoor and outdoor space is cute and spacious. Lot on options on the menu to unpack but I got two tacos :the Al paco (had chicken in it) and the taserface (had brisket in it) . I was bummed that the queenbee taco was out. Ordered at the counter and they bring the food out to you. They did have a sauce bar and also an indoor/outdoor bar to have a drink. The tacos were good. If I had added some hot sauces on them they wouldn't been top tier. I thought they were pretty filling and tasty. Reminds me a bit like Torchy's !

The Jeffrey

My daughter wanted to eat here because of their great outdoor seating area. Large menu and you place an order at the counter and they bring out the food to you. I ordered the Jeffrey which is a basically a huge beef egg roll and it was large enough for two meals. It was very spicy and delicious.

I appreciated the service during my visit. I loved the pack of the bowl salad with the AL PASTOR spiced pork & pineapple and the rubia for dessert; both were delicious. It was a good experience overall. The dining room was clean and organized. Although it was packed the service was great and the food was fresh. Adding: chairs could be better here

'ol dirty brisket quesadilla and torta tradicional with carne asada
Mason R.

Taco Bamba was pretty good! This was my first time there and I got the 'ol dirty brisket quesadilla as well as a torta tradicional with carne asada. Both were tasty. It's a little bit pricey but on par expectations for anything in the Whole Foods shopping center. For my tastes, the brisket quesadilla was a bit too oily and needed the side of cream to cut the greasiness of the meat. Unfortunately I think the grease got to my stomach. I've got a stomach of steel so I probably will go for a different menu item next time. The torta (sandwich) was pretty good, and I have no specific feedback about it. Pretty standard, and the bread was great. Next time I'll switch up the meat for a bit more flavor. The staff behind the counter and in the kitchen were really friendly, and the food came out in about 15 minutes!

The salad included chicken, cucumber, pickled red onion, corn, crispy tortillas & oregano dressing. The salad was fresh and crisp. I really enjoyed this. I'd get double meat going forward. I also order myself carnitas (delicious) and one chicken quesadilla for my Mom. My mom is such a picky eater but she really enjoyed the quesadilla and was talking about how meaty it was for days. I'm happy with my purchase and I look forward to returning. I do recommend dining at Little Rey if you're in the area.

"They have all the smoke"…read more My first time in the Ironworks area, and me like! Free parking and crossing guards directing traffic - wonderful! Ironworks is a mixed use environment with vendors hawking wears under canopies, alongside brick and mortar stores, shops, and restaurants. Little Rey's (IMO) is Alpaca Restaurant meets Mexican in the best way possible. The line for the food was a solid 30-45 minute wait. So don't be like me, have a seat, pull out your phone, use the code on the table, view menu, and order and pay. However, they have employees who greet customers and begin your drink menu while you wait in line. We ordered the half chicken, Gringa tacos, guacamole, and queso. Little Rey has a pretty extensive salsa bar, with approximately 7-8 varieties. The salsa bar spans the gambit from mild, mid-hot, smoky, and creamy options. The star of the show is the smoked chicken! So good with the corn tortilla, green salsa, grilled onions and grilled jalapeño! Moving forward I'll add an order of the chicken taco to get the perfect bit without the mess! The Gringa/Picadillo taco was good. And while I am a Gringa, and I love a Taco Bell sour cream situation, that almost mayonnaise flavor didn't sit well with my soul. However, the meat itself was super flavorful. I'd ditch the flour tortilla for corn , and opt for another salsa, add pico, and I think we are there. We weren't a fan of the rice, if I'm being honest - but will try again. While I didn't try any alcoholic beverages on this round, I'm stoked to try on my next visit. Plenty of seating, but can get awkward if there are long lines. The party is outside, so that maybe your best bet. Looking forward to grabbing a group of friends for round dos! Northern Mexican: 4.4444

The chicken was crispy and the flavors of the bowl were amazing. The queso dip was perfectly seasoned and spicy. It's pricey but I definitely think you get your money's worth. I liked it so much I considered going back the next day. The reason I deducted a star: my order got forgotten and I waited over 30 minutes. I placed an online order and went in at the given pick up time. Pretty soon, a worker politely asked my name and went to check on my order. She came back and said it would be a few minutes. About 15 minutes passed, and I watched dine-in customers who ordered after me receive their food, as well as multiple take-out customers. Finally, the worker asked me again what my name was, and checked on my order. She said they were still working on it. After 5-10 more minutes, she checked again and brought it out. This whole time, I could see into the kitchen and my order had been sitting on the counter for at least 10 minutes before I got it. It happens, and the workers were friendly - I just would've given them a bump if they'd apologized for the wait or acknowledged it. It is a bit of an awkward set-up for pickup orders, as the only place to wait for your order is basically in the dining room near tables where patrons are eating. I definitely think that's something they could re-evaluate and improve on. Overall, I'll definitely come back if I'm in the area!
