Went with a party of 6. Great drinks. Great food. Service was good. Would return.

Went early for Cinco De Mayo. Arrived about 6:00. Got seated quickly. That was the end of anything good. 15 minutes later the hostess came by and asked if anyone had taken care of us. NO. So the hostess took our drink order. I got the Cinco special "$5 Margarita". it was about 4 swallows in a tiny glass. NONE of the swallows contained even a trace of tequila. My wife's Pina Colada was fine. Another 10 minutes or so later the waitress finally appeared and we ordered an appetizer. 45 minutes or so after ordering, it came out. Worst nachos I have ever had in my life. SATURATED in liquid and every chip was soggy and ruined. It had probably been sitting on the counter waiting to be brought out for some time. While we were waiting for the appetizer we ordered dinner. All this time there was a band playing a couple of tables away. While the band was good and the singers had very good voices, it was so loud it was both painful and impossible to hear each other across the table. AT NO POINT DID ANYONE come by to ask how things were going or God forbid refill our water glasses. I had to take my wife's glass to the bar to get a refill, where they put some ice in the glass and handed me a water bottle. At the 2 hour mark with no dinner in sight we got tired of waiting, calculated how much what we had been served would cost, put enough cash on the table to cover it and went to find some actual food. read more

They were severely understaffed tonight. There was one waitress on the floor, and she was struggling to keep up. We were seated by the bartender who told us he would bring us menus and never did. We sat for over 10 minutes before I could get the waitress's attention to let her know we were there. We ordered our food and drinks at the same time. The food came quickly, but I did not receive the tortillas, rice, beans, and guacamole salad that came with my fajitas. They never came. After we had been eating about about five minutes, two other staff members arrived, who I assume are the managers or new owners. The food was OK but lacked flavor. Thankfully, the new staff members checked in with us several times, and the service was much more attentive at that point. I was able to ask for the part of my order that was missing. When we checked out using an Offline deal, we were told that since the restaurant is under new management, they will no longer be accepting those deals. However, he accepted it for us tonight. He then told us there was a different location in Wake Forest, that we could go to, which I thought was a strange comment. He doesn't want our business? I've been to this restaurant two other times and had good experiences, so if this is what it is like under the new management, there are plenty of other places I can spend my money. read more

I would give a 0 if I could, ordered food online through THEIR website 5-15-26 not a 3rd party. Went there to pick up the food and the restaurant is closed for renovations , owner came out without a care in the world and face full of crumbs around his mouth, talking about we can't cancel or refund the order....so just dispute it with the bank. Like huh? You definitely should be able to do both and as an owner you should have common sense to shut your website down or inform patrons. So tired of lazy ass people trying to run a business. They can build a new kitchen then and new ballroom for all I care , I won't be returning. read more

Sunday lunch with the family. The salsa was tasty. I had the quesadilla and it was big and good. The rice was bland to me and I would have liked more guac and sour cream on the dish given the size of the serving but I ended up bringing half home for later anyway. read more

Had 3 great experiences and have been recommending this restaurant. Something is definitely wrong as our last 2 visits were terrible. Waited to be seated while the staff cleaned every empty table, waitstaff speak No English and didn't even know the menu so we had to point at items like we were in a foreign country. Food came out woefully slow and the rice was cold. Sinking like the Titanic. Plenty of other great Mexican restaurants to choose from. read more

We live Mamacita and go regularly. We're from San Diego, California and are pretty picky when it comes to our choice of Mexican. Everything is good. It's not Mexico but it's a guy's value for the price and the robot servers are a hoot. Great family spot. read more

Ordered take out on my home and was not aware it came with a side order of hair. Hair was my food.

I loved my veggie burrito here!! I got cheese dip instead of the green sauce it comes with and they had no problem making the substitution. The veggies were cooked well, which is so important to me. I wasn't expecting it, but the burrito had chopped up plantains in it. It was not something I would've thought to ask for myself but it was actually a really lovely addition. This place is super cute and there are even a few photo op spots! I would highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be back! read more

Oh lord, where do I even start. I now have an addiction to this restaurant. I went in and was quickly seated. Our waiter came by and I ordered the mamacita flight and a como la flor. The flight had a good variety of flavors and the como la flor was adorable! It comes with a mug and a watering can and you pour your drink mix into the mug. For food, we ordered birria tacos, shrimp zarandeados, trashcan nachos, and elote. I loved everything and now the shrimp zarandeados is my favorite food! The flavor was on point and I couldn't stop eating! The restaurant is very cozy with cute decorations. There is a swing covered in flowers you can go take photos at if you want. Overall, a great dining experience with delicious food and fun drinks! read more

These reviews are not passing the vibe check. I came here a few months ago with a friend and loved it. The music, food, and service were excellent. I returned by myself and I'm so pleased with the service and food. Beto is amazing and very attentive He won't forget about you lol but gives you space as well. I will continue to visit this place and maybe bring someone new next time to spread the word about the restaurant. On a side note, try to try with the four margarita choices. This place is spot on! Been here twice and I was blown away both times. From the presentation of food/drinks to the service to the flavor, this is the best Mexican I've ever had. Our go to used to be El Tapatio, but they don't compare to Mamacita! They are about $2-4 more, but definitely worth it, IMO. Luckily we live in the neighborhood, so we will absolutely be visiting more. All the drinks are A+ and for food, we've had steak enchiladas, birria tacos (to die for) and fish tacos. read more

This was a treat during the holidays. The restaurant is fairly big, has lots of parking, and is prettily decorated and very clean. We were seated immediately, with the servers being attentive and friendly. Our grandnieces loved the robotic server that brought our dishes to our table. We had a variety of dishes, including the whole fried fish, and all were made very fresh and tasty. This is a great place for lunch and dinner! read more

This is one of my favorite Mexican resturaunts ever! However this my my first time eating at the location in Bedford off Dunn Rd. I ordered the ribeye steak tacos like I do every time I go. They were absolutely terrible. The steak was cooked so long that it was too tough to chew. They're was no cilantro or onion on the taco only meat and tortilla. Steer clear of this mamacitas location. All the others I've been too are phenomenal but this was so horrible I couldn't even eat the tacos read more

For take out, specified tacos with no onions, they were covered red onions, all of the chicken and beef in the order was dry, definitely not cooked fresh, ordered side of black beans and got a small tub of liquid with a small amount of bland beans, somebody else's burrito was in my order. If i wasnt so preoccupied with my (beyond delicious, bacon wrapped burrito and rice that was cooked by the gods) Burrito Freddy, i wouldve wrote this review still sitting in the restaurant but oh my god. It is visually stunning, nasally stimulating, mouthwateringly delicious food. The service was INCREDIBLY fast, but so personable, (the little robot cat they have to carry plates that also plays music wouldve made this 10 stars if yelp would allow such a thing.) I'm super appreciative also of the decor, it is so cohesive, it is so beautiful, if you love taking photos at restaurants, they have a GORGEOUS Selena Q mural. read more

This restaurant has changed names a few times. We try to support our neighborhood businesses so we went a few weeks ago. We were not disappointed! The service was excellent and made more entertaining by their robot assistant. Reminded me of the Jetsons! My husband had the fajitas and I had Seafood tacos. Everything was fresh and delicious!! The restaurant is very upbeat, with fun music and sports events on the tvs. It's a great place for families, groups or just a nice date night. read more

Decided to check out the place that plays music VERY loudly downstairs... and was unfortunately disappointed. The service took a while, staff were not very friendly. Food was questionable, rice being dry and not fitting the vibe here. Didn't order a drink because the person sitting next to us had a watered down margarita mix. So, this place will close quick, just like its predecessors. Hopefully sooner than later... the music from 9:00am to 10am and again from 8:00-12am is not inviting to anyone. Open a club. read more

We ordered takeout and half our order was missing and or wrong. We got two chicken soups instead of one chicken soup and street corn. The corn dish was missing. And the nachos we ordered were completely wrong. They had jalapeños and guacamole the one we ordered had none of those. Also, the chicken soup I ordered was way too salty. read more

Man with the hand tattoos was horrible, took every chance to perform the bare minimum and left constantly for 10+ minutes at a time in non busy time.
