Bottom line: Enjoyed my meals here at Sushi At The Park with starters, sushi, and entree in their hibachi selection all good. Excellent service provided in the bar area to eat my meals and enjoy my experience. A nice Asian fusion/sushi stop for eats, overall. The Deets: I had seen mention of Sushi at the Park over at Parkside Town Commons but had not had the chance to visit there until recently. I've had a couple visits now and I like this Asian fusion/sushi restaurant. They do have inside and outside seating available, but both times I have been either at the bar or in a booth within the bar area seating. The decor is nice, bright, modern, and inviting. The menu itself is pretty comprehensive for Asian fusion with also multiple sushi options offered as well. For the starters, I have had their wonton soup and their steamed gyoza with chicken. The wonton soup is just the right size and tastes good without resorting to being too salty as soups can often be. The steamed gyoza are very good, flavorful even without applying sauce. I had to get those again in my next visit, and they were equally as good as the first time. My sushi experience here was nice and simple with their Rolls Combo selection (preset with California roll, tuna roll, and salmon roll). I did not venture into their specialty sushi rolls but noted that they do have BOGO offered for those. I enjoyed my sushi rolls a lot and it was just what I needed to satisfy my sushi craving that day in portion and taste. On my other visit, I wanted to try their bibimbap on the menu but was informed they had just taken that selection off the menu, so a bit disappointed. However, I rallied to select their Hibachi entree with chicken and steamed white rice chosen. This entree was excellent and I enjoyed the flavors along with the perfect portion given. One mention RE: first impressions for my first visit...I came to the host desk and was dining solo. I usually like dining many times at the bar however when it was offered then and agreed to, the impression really felt like they could not get me away from the host desk fast enough, it just was not a welcoming feeling even though the bar was fine by the me (I do want to mention my second visit was much more welcoming feeling at the host desk). Again, first impressions go a long way. Luckily, this first impression was offset by the excellent and positive service from Wes at the bar area both visits, a definite good service experience each time by him. I am a fan of Sushi At The Park thus far and plan on seeing them again soon to enjoy more meals. read more

Sushi at the Park in RTP! For those who do not know, Research Triangle Park is a tech hub epicenter in Raleigh, North Carolina. SATP is a great place with a premier location for a business lunch! The decor also delivers. Plenty of space for events as well. The cuisine was fresh prepared usuzukuri style. We ordered 2 rolls and 3 apps which was plenty for 3 people. We also tried some cocktails, I ordered the Perfect Pear which is made with their fresh sour mix from real fruit, absolut pear and pear juice (which is pictured in my review). Next time I would like to try the Spiked Thai Tea. Yum! Pro tip: order your sushi double or thinly sliced for smaller bites. I tried a togo order at Sushi at the Park recently and went for their Bibimbop with beef bulgogi. Getting the food was quick, friendly and packaged nicely. A good Bibimbop is all about balance fresh vegetables, warm rice, and a protein that brings real flavor without overpowering everything else. The textures should mix well and every bite should feel a little different depending on what you scoop up. Their version comes with spinach, bean sprouts, carrots, cucumber, cabbage, tomatoes, and pickled radish over rice, topped with your choice of protein. The beef bulgogi was tender and seasoned well, and everything tasted fresh and clean. It's not the most traditional Bibimbop you'll ever find, but it works especially if you like a lighter, more contemporary style. I've also had their ramen before, and it's great rich broth, good toppings, and definitely worth ordering. And even though the name focuses on sushi, there's a lot more on the menu than just rolls! I asked for gluten free soy sauce and a side of spicy mayo- I got those paid for my Eight rolls - almost $90. The bag for my togo order was stapled closed- I returned home (12 minute drive) When I got home I opened the bag and there was only 7 rolls - (the rolls are buy one get one) you think they would have counted) Anyway I called and told them they said I could come back. We live close to Parkside Commons, and this is one of our favorite spots to visit with friends and family. The menu is extensive, with something for everyone (including those who aren't big sushi fans), though the BOGO sushi special is a huge draw. The wonton soup is genuinely one of the best I've had in the Triangle, and I'm picky. The staff is friendly, the space is well maintained, and portions are solid for the price. They usually have a great playlist going, which adds to the relaxed, fun vibe, and the full bar offers a wide range of cocktail and mocktail options. Definitely recommend if you're in Cary. Went on a date night here and enjoyed the experience! The waitress was friendly and kind and the food was tasty. I got a Rameseas Roll ($19.95 Tuna, salmon, yellowtail, kani, asparagus, scallions, and masago wrapped in seaweed (no rice) and the chicken dumplings. My boyfriend got Chicken Pad Thai and the Did I Roll That roll ($19.95 Shrimp tempura and avocado topped with seared beef, ponzu sauce, and scallions. We got there right when it opened for dinner (4 PM) because the restaurant doesn't accept reservations for parties smaller than 5 (we had 3 people in ours) and we wanted to be sure that we were seated immediately. That being said, I noticed that there were still plenty of seats available as we were leaving, so I guess it wasn't necessary to be so early :) Our server did a pretty good job throughout the meal - he knew the menu reasonably well and was generally present when we needed him. There's also a lot of options for food making it a really great place to eat with a group of friends. It was hard to grab her attention for simple things such as eating utensils, napkins, and refills This isn't a restaurant that thrives off service. Food: The wonton soup was very nice warm, and savory. I enjoyed it. The bagel roll was also good. Mostly everything my table ordered was decent BUT my sister found a weird-looking shrimp piece that was very hard to eat in her roll. I'm not sure what happened there. A margarita was ordered by someone at my table, and it was extremely watered down and tasted like a virgin sweet and sour mix on ice. Do I recommend? Sure if you're seeking a deal on sushi and don't care about subpar service. Would I come again? Probably not, unless I'm desperately craving sushi and in the area. This place was a bit out of my way.
