Burnt Garlic Fried Rice Veggies
Paige R.

I've ordered takeout from here a few times but today I ate in (starving after a doctor appt). Service was friendly. I always order the veg burnt garlic fried rice and I personally love it. Amongst the veggies is baby corn, which I really like and don't see at many places. I order it medium, it's pleasantly spicy. It's a generous portion, usually enough for me to have about half saved for lunch the next day. I also ordered the fresh lime soda and it was so refreshing. Not syrupy sweet - just tangy and light. It was perfect to go with my meal.

This place is the most accurate representation of the "indo chinese" fusion cuisine that's extremely popular in india. Quick and friendly service with a faux fine dine setting. The spice levels are deliciously on the higher side. Of the many times i've dined or taken takeout from here, these items have never disappointed: 1. Veg Burnt garlic fried rice 2. Chicken manchurian gravy 3. Non alcoholic masala lemonade ( ask for less "masala" which are spices 4. Fresh lime soda The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is that food is not quite consistently great.

Update for my last review... This place still rocks!! Don't let the seemingly low volume of patrons worry you. They have a thriving take-out business, and they had a 50-person order go out while I was there despite only 4 couples dining in. The food is AMAZING, FRESH, AND PACKED WITH FLAVOR!

The Pros: The food is good. Good take on the spices and combinations presented. The amount of food received is reasonable for the cost of the dish. The inside of the location is so pretty! Love the decor - somewhat a cross between a "sexy" club and nice dining. The location overall is a good one for the location and the pricing is some what in line with other establishments like this one. The Cons: However, my low rating goes to the service - particular one server. Let me paint the picture like this for you: We arrive and immediately we are greeted by two older men and server #1. Server #1 asks, is this our first time and starts to place the menus on the table. We provide that it is and from there she provides us some additional time to look over the menu and grab our drinks. Issue #1: the menus only list the name and price. It doesn't provide really any information on HOW they prepare their dish. What the adjustment of spice level can be for the dish or anything additional to determine if you want it or if there is something that might not be able to have due to allergies. Suggestion #1: update the menu to include dish descriptions and if the spice level can be adjusted. This helps with understanding the dish and not having confusion with the server trying to figure out what's in it and so on. While we await for server #1 to return, we are approached by server #2. They again are asking if we need any help and if we are ready to order. Okay, it's only been 2 mins, but we let them know we are still looking the menu over. Within 2 mins, server #3 has come over. Again, asking the same thing. At this point, I am like what is going on? Are we talking to long? Then I realize once server #3 leaves there is an issue. There is main server (we will call her "Runner"). Runner is literally running around demanding server #1, #2, and #3 to do this and that. They have no time to even stand and think. You see the stress over their faces - they go to take an order, Runner is right behind them - demanding it be entered a certain way in the system or do this or do that. I felt bad for server #1, she never returned to our table because she was "dragged" here and there. As soon as she would be on the way back, Runner would demand she make this or take this to this table. Server #1 would look at our table, but again - never made it back. There was some much "drama" service was hectic and confusing. We didn't receive some of the items that should have come with the dish. Other tables - were consistency asking for items that should have been provided with the dish. You would look up and see Runner fussing or carrying on with the servers. When in fact, if she would have left them alone - they would have been better at doing their job. Hopefully, this is not the case and this is a one off type of day. Looking at the comments from others regarding service, I don't think so. Runner, should take a lesson in proper customer service and how to treat your wait staff. They are reflect of you - not of themselves. IF you are treating them bad and causing confusion, the rest will be displayed in how they are able to conduct business and attend to your customers. With that, I don't believe we will return for service.

I LOVE a good Indo-Chinese cuisine and I feel like this restaurant is a gem! I'm actually very surprised to see the amount of low rated reviews this restaurant got but it didn't discourage me from trying it anyways. However, I only got to base my review off 2 dishes but those two dishes were enough to sell my mom & I on going back again to try some more. We got the food to takeout, but the restaurant looked clean and we were greeted by friendly waiters. The drums of heaven, which a lot of people know by the name "chicken lollipops" was absolutely delicious and very flavorful. The angry shrimp were pretty good too, tasted like any other saucy firecracker shrimp. You can get the food extra mild, mild, medium, and hot. We chose medium and it had a good amount of heat to it so if you can't take spicy food don't underestimate medium.

Black pepper chicken. Good. Tasted a bit like chilli chicken with black peppers.

I have been here for dining for more times than I care to admit, this is a rock solid place for indo-chinese food! The waiting time for food is not long at all, usually within 10/15 minutes, which is a big plus and cant say the same for other good Indian places (Looking at you Anjappar) Drums of heaven, Manchurial Chicken, Chilli Chicken, Black pepper chicken, pepper cottage cheese, Szechuan fried rice, hakka noodles -- all very good, very satisfying. The corn kernel starter is absolutely amazing, crunch chewy corns smothered in green onion, salt pepper garlic-- awesome. Ginger Chicken, burnt Garlic fish -- also good, but prefer the items above. Was always served with polite service.

Vegetable Manchurian Dry Szechuan Noodles Veg

I picked up veg Manchurian (dry) and veg schezwan noodles. The noodles weren't what I was expecting in terms of flavor and spice (they could've used more sauce/spice), but they were still good. The veg Manchurian wasn't bad but it was dry and hardened (didn't taste fresh). The Manchurian balls look big but inside there is barely a filling and it was difficult trying to chew the outer portion. Overall, this place is pricy but the quantity was reasonable and I did enjoy my meal so I'm satisfied. I don't see myself returning any time soon, I would like to try out other indochinese places in the area but this is a good option if you're craving good indochinese food.

My most favorite Indo-Chinese restaurant. (Note: if you're unfamiliar with Indo-Chinese cuisine and has never tried it, do not look further) The inside of this restaurant is pretty spacious and welcoming. Really good for large groups with reservations of course. I have always experienced great service from the folks here; may it be dine in or pick up. Sweet Corn chicken soup, Chili lamb fry are my favorite appetizers. Love their Hakka noodles , Singapore noodles, Szechuan noodles/fried rice , chicken manchurian. The list goes on.

Coming from an Indo-Chinese background, all the flavors of the food we got here hit so close to home. I enjoyed each and every delectable bite. I chose to order thru their online system and opted for takeout. If you order online, they have some combo options which offer a bit of discount rather than if you got the items ala carte. Their combos include 1 choice of appetizer, 2 soups of the same choice, and 2 entrees of your choosing. Prices for the combo depends if you get vegetarian, chicken, or the shrimp: $41 for vegetarian, $47 for chicken, $52 for shrimp. I did the vegetarian combo and chose an appetizer of burnt chili tofu, two manchow soups, a veg szechuan noodles, and veg manchurian. You also get to choose your spice level - I chose very spicy. It was enough to get me sweating but I absolutely loved it. Portion wise I was pleasantly surprised - they were pretty generous in the portions and their to-go containers had good depth to them. I expected the appetizer to be tiny but man was I wrong - there was enough in there to almost be considered an entrée itself. We weren't able to finish everything in one go so ended up with plenty for leftovers. As mentioned in the beginning, the flavors of all the dishes were on point. All the dishes use copious amounts of garlic to stir fry which you can definitely taste and I absolutely loved it. Needless to say, we were completely satisfied. If you haven't experienced Indo-Chinese cuisine then you've been missing out. I totally recommend giving this place a try.

Food was impeccable. I'll be back!…read more On a Saturday night around 8pm, I ordered a bunch of food for about 20 people as an impromptu post graduation dinner at my house. We were ravenous, but had an intense Chinese food craving, so we ordered Chengdu 7 food from Uber Eats. Food did not disappoint! We ordered sesame chicken, chef special fried rice, chicken fried rice, Mongolian beef*, shrimp fried rice, and everything was delicious! Fan favorites were the Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice, but honestly EVERYTHING was good. And you can tell a lot from a place by how they package your food: food was delivered in tightly seeled packs and labeled! It sounds minor, but is so helpful when you're feed 2 dozen hungry people. All in all, Chengdu 7 you truly made me a fan of you. I will most certainly be returning for more!

We enjoyed so many different dishes - hot and sour soup, scallion pancakes, egg rolls, hand pulled noodles with beef, kung Pao chicken, cumin beef, beef with vegetables, crag rangoon, and pork dumplings. Every dish was wonderful. And for anyone who has not tried the hand pulled noodles here you really must try them - they are a highlight of a meal - incredibly delicious with a wonderful texture. The flow of food to our table was great, not too fast or rushed and not too slow. Our waitress was wonderful and ensured that our group had everything that we needed to enjoy our meal. Will I be back again - Absolutely!! Everyone in our group agrees that this is the best Chinese food anywhere! I will caution some seeing this review that unlike many other Asian restaurants, if you order a Hot and spicy dish here it will indeed be very hot. I consider that to be good because I enjoy hot spicy food, but for those who cannot handle hot food stick with the milder dishes.

Our meal started with a scallion pancake. It was very good, with just the right amount of scallion flavor but was a tiny bit too dense. Next we tried the pan-fried pork and celery dumplings. They were clearly just handmade, steamed, then finished off with a light panfry. I've never had this particular variety of dumpling before and these were delightful. The accompanying dipping sauce had a bit too much vinegar in it for my taste. Highly recommended. We shared the minced pork and eggplant for an entree. Wow! This was fantastic. The Japanese eggplant was very tender and the finely minced pork perfectly complimented the eggplant. We will definitely order this again. Adding steamed rice to this entree incurs a $1.95 up charge which seems like gouging on a $16.95 dish. Service was friendly and helpful, but not especially attentive or detail oriented. I got the impression that the restauranteurs in charge were highly experienced and showed a level of finesse that most similar restaurants in the area just aren't capable of. Beijing Cafe definitely warrants return visits.

We kicked things off with the hot & sour soup and Szechuan cold noodles--both excellent. The soup had that perfect balance of tangy heat without going overboard, and the cold noodles brought a nice punch of spice and sesame that woke up the palate. For mains, we went with the beef chow fun and salt & pepper squid. The chow fun had that slightly smoky, charred flavor you want with tender beef and well-seasoned noodles that weren't greasy. The squid was crispy, lightly battered, and tossed with just the right amount of salt, pepper, and aromatics--super addictive. Every dish hit. No misses, no filler--just solid, satisfying Chinese food done right. It's always a good sign when a place still delivers years later, and Taipei 101 definitely does.

The vegetable lo mein was just as underwhelming, with only a small amount of carrots, scallions, and broccoli, lacking real flavor while somehow being overly salty. We had visited this restaurant about ten years ago, and the quality has clearly declined since then.
