Came here on a Wednesday evening at 6:30. It was not busy when I arrived and I was quickly seated. They brought menus and a pitcher of water while I waited for my friend to arrive. My friend (who is Indian) introduced to this cuisine over a decade ago...Her and her mother have never made me a dish I didn't like but I always struggle with what to order when I go out to eat at an Indian restuarant. I've made it a point to try something different every time we go to a new one. I got the veg samosas and masala dosa. The samosas because they're my absolute favorite (seriously, who doesn't like fried pastries stuffed with spicy flavorful mashed potatoes!) and the masala dosa because of all of the lovely recommendations on yelp! The dosa is basically a huge crepe that you tear and eat with your hands. It comes with four dipping "sauces" which are some spicy potatoes, lentil dal, a creamy yogurt based sauce, and a tomato sauce. My friend ordered the kadai paneer and some roti. They refer to paneer as cottage cheese but it's not American cottage cheese. It's a non-melting soft cheese about the consistency of tofu. The samosas came out first and her paneer and my dosa came out shortly after. We were so busy talking and sharing the samosas that we didn't realize that they had brought us an incorrect paneer until they brought us the correct one! They told us to keep both and I was so excited to be able to try TWO more new dishes. The kadai paneer was tomato based but the shaahi paneer (which we didn't order) was cream based. The kadai was tasty but I LOVED the shaahi (my friend was generous and let me take it home.) We had so much food. The dosa was HUGE and the paneers each came with a bowl of rice and naan. We ended up demolishing the samosas, dosa, and roti but took most of the paneer (with rice and naan) home. The waitstaff was very attentive and polite. The owner even came over to make sure everything was going well. The restaurant and restrooms were very clean. I was very, very happy with my experience here I think I've found my new favorite Indian restuarant!!!
Went based on a high recommended from friends. The place was easy to find in a great shopping/food center by the movies and bowling. Place was small and cute with nice large tables for family style seating. They also have outdoor seating. The menu was large with great options. All items served family style and every table I observed had Togo boxes for the rest of their food, including us. As soon as we sat, we were served water and silverware. Place was clean and nice music playing. We had an appetizer that was filled with potatoes and peas. Both sauces served with it were great but we really loved the green jalapeño sauce. Both the chicken and lamb dishes were amazing! You can tell it was cooked with love and care. It was really authentic with the level of spice and seasonings. The Naan bread was the best bread I ever had and I could be wrapped in it. Lol Highly recommend
Delicious Indian food and very satisfied! This is a really cute restaurant located in Parkside Town Commons. There's plenty of seating inside but we got our food to go the two times we went here. The food took about 20 minutes to come out but it was hot and tasted fresh. The food isn't that cheap but we recently discovered they have weekly buy one get one entree free deals. We got cheese naan, chicken tandoori, lamb rogan josh, chicken lollipops, and it came with a side of rice. Their cheese naan isn't the cheesiest (I like mine so cheesy the cheese stretches when you pull the bread apart) but it was still really good. The chicken tandoori was also delicious and cooked to perfection. A lot of times places make it too salty. The lamb rogan josh was also amazing and the sauce for it tasted so good with the naan and rice. The chicken lollipop is yummy and always our favorite appetizer to get at Indian restaurants so definitely give it a try!
4.5/5 - Ordered on DoorDash, came within the promised time. The paneer tikka masala was good. There wasn't a hint of sweetness like many other places have, so I liked it a lot. I called to have them make it spicy (there wasn't an option on the app) and they added the perfect amount of spice. The garlic naan was huge and fluffy, and it's reasonably priced! The quantity of rice is less compared to other places, but I don't really eat much rice so I didn't mind. Overall, great place if you're looking for some good Indian food (which surprisingly is hard to find around here).
The service was so great and the entire meal was worth every penny. We haven't had Indian food since moving here to North Carolina and this was fantastic. Can't wait to come back!!!!
Officially one of my favorite Indian restaurants after multiple visits. My favorite has been all of their buffet options. They have an amazing weekend buffet too with a live dosa station. Everything tastes so fresh every time we're there. The service is good too! Super attentive servers and people bussing tables. We've been during dinner as well and ordered off the menu. Our favorites include the malai kofta, chili baby corn, haryali paneer, and all of the naan options. Everything comes out super hot and tastey. The restaurant itself isn't huge but if you get there early enough for the buffet options there's always plenty of space available.
Please understand when I say that they have amazing service here I was not lying! The staff is so caring and attentive! The ambiance is peaceful and family friendly. The food here is just out of this world! I highly recommend getting some garlic naan over the regular (nothing wrong with regular) but the garlic naan has a special place in my heart. Please visit if you enjoy food and friendly service! Food 10/10 Service 10/10 Ambiance 9.7/10
Many of the older reviews from 2+ years ago may skew the data for Persis, as my experience here was generally positive. We came close to closing and the waiter made sure to let us know the kitchen was only taking orders for 15 more ish minutes. We placed our order and the food was served quickly. The taste and presentation were good. I liked the food but felt that medium heat was way too much to handle (was snotting and sweating trying to eat the meal haha), but that's on me. Also, the chicken vindaloo was a little sour - perhaps too much tomatoes / tomato paste? But these are all minor complaints, we still were stuffed by the end of the meal and had enough leftovers for lunch the next day :)
Parkside Indian Grill is always a satisfying experience. The buffet is well organized and offers great options for both vegetarian and non vegetarian diners, with separate sections that make choosing easy. The live dosa counter stands out with fresh, hot dosas made on the spot. They also have good dessert options to enjoy after the meal. Starting with soup and lemonade and ending with a comforting cup of chai brings the whole experience together. It feels complete and authentic, especially if you love Indian food. read more
When I walked in, there was one family outside and another single woman. A couple walked in behind me but other than that it was light business. (If it's any relation the parking in the whole plaza was easy- not something usual for this time of night). However, they had anywhere from 6-10 pickup orders while I was there. The service was quick to bring me water and made my mock Pina colada right away. I ordered one of the cauliflower appetizers, cheese naan, and goat tikka masala (not on the menu, but I asked the waiter what his favorite sauce was and told him I wanted goat. This was his recommendation. It tasted so delicious and the portions were huge. I took home what I would have normally received from a to-go order from other restaurants. Everything was clean and well maintained. If I could give 4.5 stars, I would but because of how delicious it was, I'll round up. My only very small complaint was that they had an awesome glossary of terms, but were still lacking several descriptors. Pictures would have been super helpful! Overall- I'll be back. read more

We ordered Gongora chicken and paneer jalfrezi. Our host was Naresh Food was delicious, flavorful and Naresh provided excellent hospitality. The chicken was cooked to perfection, and the spice level was as per our request. Paneer jalfrezi was terrific as well. Thank you, Naresh and team, for taking care of us and providing superb experience!! read more

We've been back a couple times for takeout since we first tried it a few months ago, and Persis is easily one of our favorite Indian restaurants. Food has been consistently delicious. For our anniversary this week, we got our usuals but also tried the masala dosa and a few other things. Everything was tasty. I haven't ever experienced dining in here so cannot speak to the service or experience but look forward to trying out their buffet in better non-COVID times. read more

Ordered the goat biryani on 6/02/23. It had enough salt to put the Dead Sea and the Great Salt Lake to shame. In other words, had this been a liquid concoction, I would be floating in it. Basically what I'm trying to say is that the ridiculously copious amount of salt in this dish rendered it nearly inedible. And don't even get me started on paucity of the goat pieces in the biryani. Practically non-existent with the exception of a few shredded pieces of meat. Highly disappointed with this dish when you charge nearly $20 for what was essentially grossly over-salted long grain rice. Would not recommend. read more

One of the best Indian restaurants around here. The staff is always so welcoming and their food is really fresh. The weekend buffet is great. I like this place so much i have almost started going here every weekend. Sunday buffet is usually elaborate. Hot chai and yummy malpua's to go along with today was the highlight of my day. Highly recommend persis if you want to try authentic Indian food. read more
Just had an amazing and satisfying Saturday lunch buffet style meal at Persis Indian Grill which is conveniently located in Parkside Town Commons, right off of the 540 exit on Highway 55. Came with a couple of my Indian friends who highly recommended this place. The interior is very clean and spacious with plenty of table seating for small groups or large parties. We arrived at opening and the place filled up very quickly which says a lot about it. The buffet is setup with a wide variety of food ranging from sauces, soups, non-vegetarian, vegetarian and desserts. I sampled a little bit of everything and truly enjoyed it all. The flavors were rich and very pleasing. An excellent mix of salty, sweet, and spicy (but not terribly spicy). Buffet value overall is great for the price. The service was fast and friendly. I'm definitely coming back here and I urge anyone who enjoys Indian food to come check them out. read more

This restaurant is authentic, amazing and has awesome service! Came in for my first time (recommended by a friend who is a regular!), and I was highly impressed by the food, the cleanliness and our wonderful server Rakesh! I described to him what I like, he had a dish in mind right away and it was *perfect*!! Thank you Persia Indian Grill for a lovely meal and thank you Rakesh for making it so pleasant!! read more

This is so far my favorite Indian restaurant. I live in Wake Forest and I drive all the way to Morrisville to eat there sometimes. Every time I go there the food tastes fresh and delicious. The first time I went to this restaurant was during lunch time but I got there late and it was almost time for them to close. I went to the buffet and realized that they didn't have enough butter chicken anymore and one of the guys heard when I was talking to my husband and he came to me and told me that they would make me a new one if I wanted. So they did. They made fresh butter chicken and brought it to my table. Everything tasted very good! Their garlic naan is pretty good! read more

I did it again. Overeat at the buffet that is. Never learn. Weekend lunch buffet, but a la carte menu available also. I usually avoid Indian buffets because of a nut allergy, but servers were able to confirm that chef doesn't use nuts in the buffet and that only one of the desserts had cashews. I enjoyed the three buffet platters I greedily dished up for myself, although wish there was more spice and/or heat to some of the food, but mild level is expected to cater to general population pallets at a buffet. This is generally one of the downsides to a buffet though. Some Indian buffets can be as predictable as guessing that Chef Gordon Ramsey is ordering the crew at an episode of Hell's Kitchen to make beef Wellington. But here we have a Good mix of classics and non-classic dishes. Some examples at the buffet; Chicken Tikka Masala, Goat Biryani, Goat Curry, Chicken fry, Fish Tawa, Uttapam, Idli, Sambar, naan, Curd rice, Veg Biryani, BBQ corn, Black eye pea masala, Mushroom masala, Paneer masala, veg sabzi, dry potato dish, papdi chat, mango moose, double ke meta (?). Lemon juice drink and masala chai included. Don't think I have seen chai as part of buffet before, so this was a nice added touch. There is a sign dividing non-veg and veg dishes, but chicken fry was on the veg side. This is a completely unrelated anecdote, but I remember a while back in NJ there was a group of vegetarian patrons that accidently ate meat at an Indian buffet and sued the owner to pay for round trip tickets to the holy Ganges river for spiritual cleansing. Oh lawd! Anyway back to Persis restaurant; The interior is pleasant and looks new, I didn't expect much more than a simple Indian diner vibe. You get your own water jug at the table. The bowls for Sambar are super small, more like a condiment bowl for pickle that fits about three spoonfuls of Sambar. Nothing tasted bad, Nothing too oily or salty. But on the other hand I can't point out any dish that stood out to me. The Uttapam was pretty good for being buffet. I don't think I saw raita on the menu, which I always like to have with my meal. Masala chai was quite good, not being that thick kind. Outdoor seating available. 91 sanitation score, which is on the concerning side and the sign was strategically placed in the bar corner facing away from the dining room. read more
