Authentic, tasty, great service. I like that they added business meal to the current unlimited option.

Order Type: Takeout Ordering Method: Third-PartyPickup Overall Experience: Overall it was a pretty seamless experience. The food was ready at the pick up time and was still pretty hot when we got back home. What I Ordered: * Butter Chicken * Chicken 65 Food Quality:The food was fresh and flavorful and not at all greasy which I've experienced at other Indian takeout places. Accuracy:I really appreciated how they packed everything with care, everything we ordered was there and the portion sizes were great. We had enough for dinner again today. Value:On the app that we ordered from there was a buy one get one free option so plenty of food for the value. Notes / Things to Know: It's important to know that this is a South Indian restaurant, and regional Indian cuisines vary a lot. The spice profiles and flavor balance here will be different from what you might be used to at North Indian restaurants. Not better or worse , just different. The Chicken 65 was the standout -- delicious, great heat, curry leaves, and the exact spice level I was craving. The Butter Chicken was good, but just a heads-up: ithis dish tends to be sweeter, creamier, and more subtle in seasoning than the North Indian version many people expect. If that's your preference, you may find it milder here.

Anddddd, the best dosa in the Triangle goes to..... BLR Bar in Morrisville!…read more A few months back, I had planned a group dinner with a bunch of friends and one person recommended BLR Bar. I love Indian so I said "sure, why not!" A group of 8 of us went and as we all scoured the menu, it occurred to us that this place was vegetarian only. My initial thought (and I'm sure other peoples also) was.. "oh snap.... Did I make a mistake?" Honestly, it's been a long time that I've been to a non-meat establishment and had I known in advance, I probably would have passed this restaurant up, but since I was already there, I, along with everyone else, went with it. We were all seated, drinks had been poured, everyone was committed to their chairs. There was no backing out. From looking at the menu, it seemed like Dosas were popular so being that it was supposed to be a South Indian restaurant, I decided to get it. My friends got the gobi, one spicy and one non spicy. Guys, the spicy was incredibleee. Loved it so much. It was crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside and had a punch to it. But I will say, the non-spicy was just okay, it just didn't deliver that kick to it. When the dosa came, I was in love. It was a beautifully done dosa, with the perfect curl and texture. Paired with the sides, it was delicious. Fast forward six months later, I went to BLR Bar again, but slightly fearful that I wouldn't enjoy it as much the second time around. My fears were put to rest because it was just as delicious as the first time. If you're looking for authentic southern Indian Dosas, look no further. Pay BLR Bar & Curry a visit ASAP!

When I asked the staff here, they said they were speakers of Kannada, a language from the south Indian state of Karnataka. And while I have had many restaurant meals as well as home cooked food from more than one, Indian colleague, in addition to my own culinary efforts, this place did offer some new flavors for me.nThe place was busy, and if I were rating the bathroom so I wouldn't give them five stars. From a mouthwatering menu, I managed to defer on a dosa in exchange for a soup delivered with some fried dumplings and a delectable mix of herbs and spices. My entrée was a dry fried okra dish, which came with peanuts, which made it quite heavy I asked for it hot and this wasn't the most immediate spice sensation, but the delayed burn was considerable. It came with some delightful vegetable ribbons on top. Having said that this was the kind of place where I also found myself gazing. It was the other tables ordered with longing. They asked me to come back sometime and if I am in the neighborhood, I would certainly look to return.

Going with bits of Indian, Italian, and Mexican cuisine with bar standbys like burgers and salads, there's something for about every taste preference. Casual but nicely decorated inside and service with a bit of a personal note to it, I had a good lunch visit here. The Deets: I went for a walk down Hatcher Creek Greenway and decided to duck into Morrisville Square for a bite to eat for lunch. I had seen Sips N Spices on my Yelp radar for the neighborhood so chose them for some eats. With the outside signs displaying "Grill, Taco, Pizza & Bar" it sounded like they had quite the variety. That variety shows through upon entering in, with the atmosphere and menu. The feel on the inside is cool and eclectic both, very relaxing and very casual but clean and well decorated (see pics). As far as the menu, they have a fusion of Indian, Italian, and Mexican going on but also burgers and salads if you are looking for more bar-like cuisine. They really do have a little bit of everything, even hookah and a full bar. The atmosphere was chill and relax with friends kind of vibe to me. In looking at all the possibilities on the wide variety offered on the menu, I went a bit out of my comfort zone in ordering the Butter Chicken Pasta dish (without the optional green chili). Note to tea drinkers, they only offer sweet tea I found when I tried to order unsweetened tea but I was good with a Diet Coke instead. The Butter Chicken Pasta was a perfect lunch portion served as a bowl. Even without the green chili option, it still had a bit of spice to it but enough to make it flavorful without being overwhelming (as you know, I'm not one for overly spicy foods). Even with the dish having more spice than expected (he said he would place the order in as mild), I enjoyed my lunch here as this pasta dish was anything but boring and lackluster, again flavorful comes to mind. I also liked that Nick here at Sip N Spices took the time to ask me how I knew about them and what brought me in, as well as him sharing that the dishes are inspired by his grandmother's recipes. Personal customer service is always a positive in my book and it was shown here. I look forward to trying other menu selections here, especially if I have an urge for a burger in the future. A good first visit here!
