We have visited Thali twice and it was wonderful each time. I took my boss there for lunch and she and I both agreed it was fabulous. We both swore we'd be back. Then, six months later we took our daughter there for dinner. Both times the paneer dishes and breads (naan and roti) were super delicious. My husband had the seafood dish and loved it. The rice is lovely and light. The desserts are fun too! So I would highly recommend eating here. We did not - at any time - experience the buffet and I am vegetarian so never ordered any meat dishes. This is the best Indian restaurant I have been to in the entire RDU area (and I've been to 10+ in the last six months). I had the saag and makkiki roti and it was so rich and delicious. The people I was with got the vegetarian thaili, chili paneer, aloo tiki chaat, and gobi Manchurian and they were all delicious. A lot of the menu is gluten free too! I like to know a chefs background and how they came to make quality food! 2) Menu has all the Indian food favorites, and some options to get a taste of everything via the "Thali's". That's my next visit for sure. 3) Location is out of the way, this is not your date night hotspot....yet, but the food will get Thali there in the end. I ate here for dinner the other week and had a good experience. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. Ambiance was quiet for dinner, though they seem busy with take out. For dinner I got a spicy paneer appetizer and khasmiri lamb with vegetable biryani. All of the food was ok, though the curry had whole pieces of tomato in it rather than being blended together, and the vegetable biryani also had large vegetable chunks that would've been more palatable if they were cut smaller when cooked. One of the best Indian buffets I've been to. Every dish was fresh and cooked perfectly. They had lots of veggie options if meat is not your thing but their meat options were also amazing. The chicken tikka was for to die for. Super flavorful and the chicken was so tender. They also bring naan fresh to your table. The service was excellent, and they were very attentive. Went for the buffet and was very happy with the food. The selection isn't huge but wow some of the dishes I could eat by the bucket. They also provided fresh naan and samosas!! The service is amazing, there was a man and a woman who were checking in every now and then. They were always smiling and seemed proud of the food they were serving. The woman at the front let us know that the buffet was cheaper during the week and was very sweet. Ambiance was very relaxed and open. A lovely way to eat a meal. My wife and I dined here on 10/4/24. When I say excellent, I mean EXCELLENT! We started our dinner with two appetizers; Aloo Tikki, and Gobi Manchurian. Aloo Tiki is are potato croquettes with onions, and peas, covered in a vegvegetable/spice based gravy with chickpeas. The Gobi Manchurian is the best version of fried cauliflower that you've ever tasted! For entrees we had the Chicken Korma, and the Goat Kashmiri Rogan. Both orders were made to our level of spiciness, both dishes were phenomenal. The service was amazing, and our waiter was GREAT, he ensured we had an amazing dining experience. We heard that the management changed so wanted to try it out and stopped by for a sit down dinner. The place is super clean, they were all wearing masks and following all the safety protocols. Coming to food, for starters we ordered masala fries and it was crispy and perfect and my daughter just couldn't stop eating them. For main course my husband ordered the Vegetarian Thali and loved every item from the thali. I ordered saag (asked them to add paneer) with naan instead of makki ki roti and it was just out if the world. Lassi was yum and so were the deserts they served in the thali - gulab jamun and kheer (rice pudding). My daughter loved her Butter Chicken and said the chicken is really soft and moist and not chewy. The food was really fresh and the lady who owns the restaurant is also the chef and she came over to ask how we liked the food. This restaurant was one of the closest places to my hotel so I ordered chicken tikka and a veggie potato type entree. I was let down by both , wasn't good Indian food at all, I could tell just by the color of the sauce it wasn't going to be good. Chicken was tender but the sauces makes the dish and that was gross. I went there for dinner. We ordered samosa and paneer chilli for appetizers. We ordered dal, saag paneer, naan, rice as as main course and tea and gulab jamun for deserts. The food was superb. The restaurant was very neat and clean both inside and outside. The ambiance was amazing. The service was simply superb. We were treated almost like guests instead of customers. I eat healthy Indian food hence don't like oily or greasy food. This restaurant services exactly the kind I like - healthy food. The gulab jamun was out of the world - chrispy from outside and soft inside and warm to perfect temperature. The tea was perfect. Popped in for the lunchtime buffet. Good selection of vegetable and meat curries with rice, naan and samosas. Enjoyed the egg curry with boiled eggs, the paneer and some chicken tikka masala. We visited Thali late afternoon after a match , restaurant was almost closing the buffet when we reached. Owner of the restaurant was generous enough to extend lunch hours for us and made sure we we have an excellent service..Not only the food was amazing , they were very careful about kids allergies..
