    Garlic Naan
    Justin P.

I visited Triangles Biryani a few months ago and it was known back then as Chutneys. They have rebranded a bit, remodeled and are now today's Triangles Biryani. Most of what you knew about Chutneys is very similar. The staff are the same and the menu options are pretty much what they were previously. Unfortunately, with all of the Indian food options in the area, this one fails to meet expectations. My first visit I ordered a chicken biryani. I was actually enjoying the biryani until about halfway through I found a bug in it. Although I found this to be extremely off-putting, I appreciated the staff's response to the incident. They were extremely apologetic and allowed me to pick a new item free of charge. I did not have to pay for the biryani either. I went for the egg hakka noodles, which I took home with me. There was no bug to be seen in the noodles, but they were extremely salty. I was touched by the restaurant's response to my issue, so I was willing to re-visit. Fast forward to this past weekend, and I can say that I will be going to other Indian establishments. After getting over the surprise of the re-brand, I ordered the probably all too familiar butter chicken + garlic naan combo. Service was not nearly as delightful as my first visit, everything seemed to take forever, from receiving the food to even just getting the check. The butter chicken was very disappointing overall. For the price I paid, the portion seemed pretty small and the curry was very oily. Not only that, the chicken by itself was bland and the curry didn't ooze any freshness to it. I couldn't pick out any tomatoes or spices, everything seemed a bit muddled together. The naan, although nice looking, was dry and felt more like a Chinese scallion pancake, based on the texture and the way it had so many layers. I really wish I could have enjoyed things here more, but three strikes, now they're out!

The cooker biryani was highly recommended to us by a friend and so we wanted to try it, which was something new and interesting. The place is big and beautiful, the decor is really nice compared to a lot of other Indian restaurant in the area. We were there on a Friday evening at 5.30 and placed order by 5.40. We ordered their appetizer platter, chicken kadhai, naan and chicken cooker pulav. Disappointment 1- My husband tried ordering some beer which we were denied saying they are still working on their bar licenses. I wish they had mentioned that on their website since it's a little misleading. Disappointment 2- the appetizer arrived after 45 minutes, they kept saying that the kitchen is busy but still 45 minutes for appetizers was too much. The staff were humble and apologetic about it though. Disappointment 3 - even after 45 minutes the grilled chicken and lamb were just a little warm as if they were kept out for sometime. Shrimp was hot and yummy though. Kadhai chicken and garlic naan tasted really good and we enjoyed it. The chicken cooker pulav was piping hot, chicken was soft and tender but the taste was pretty average. Overall our experience was as okay! May be next time we will try their mutton cooker biryani which is highly recommended but the management should really do something about wait times.

Visited Chutneys on a Friday evening, my family and I were the only ones in the restaurant. After being seated, we had water bottles placed on our table (they do not serve water in glasses). We were unknowingly charged for this bottled water - not a big charge, but something we didn't expect as it was just placed on our table with no mention of the charge. Food was great - we ordered the butter chicken, pakoras, samosa chaat, and saag paneer. The saag was some of the best I've had in a long time. The downside - it took almost 1.5 hours to have all of our food served to us, even though we were the only ones there for a while. If you're with friends/family that can keep you company, it's not too bad (with an appetizer on the table, though). I'd come back again, but probably for takeout rather than dining in.

i had been to chutneys before to try their breakfast, which was not very good. however their dinner menu is much different and i wanted to give them another chance, and i'm glad i did! i ordered the szechuan paneer noodles and the saag chhole with tandoori roti. the noodles were excellent! i really liked them. if you have a mild palate though, i recommend specifying that because i said medium and it was still pretty spicy. the saag chhole was also really good, but there was soooo much oil on the dish that we had to drain out a bit before digging in. 2 stars for the breakfast, 4 for this meal - i averaged! but i would definitely order takeout from here again for dinner.

    Malabar Fish curry

The food was very vibrant! The spices and the love to the dish itself was very evident once you take your first bite. I had the Malabar Fish Curry tonight and it was beautiful! The fish was flaky and clean. It wasn't fishy tasting, which I appreciate a lot! The staff there, was FABULOUS! From the moment I walked in to the very moment I walked out, I was treated with nothing but respect and care. This place is easily becoming my to-go places to dine. Cannot wait to try more dishes! And please do yourself a favor and ask for Chai! It was to DIE for! Love this place

I want to start with that this establishment does not seem to keep up certain negative reviews on google. I made a review earlier today only to find from my family member's google account that it was hidden. Because of this, I have come to Yelp to post my original review in hopes that it will be helpful to others that are interested in visiting this restaurant. From Google: Although the food was average, the service that my family and I just received gives this place barely one star in my books. We were sat down and then waited close to 20 minutes just to have our order taken. I honestly think it would have taken longer had we not waved someone down. It then takes them close to 1 hour to get everyone's food out, which didn't make sense to us because other families that sat down after us were getting their food sooner. When we asked when our food would come out, the man simply said "yeah". Like I said the food was average flavor-wise, but the portion size definitely doesn't justify the price. One small serving of jalapeño chicken (which is an appetizer) was $18 and did not come with rice. Maybe that is normal for other people, but it was a bit surprising for us. Overall, they knew that our family was not happy as they thankfully gave a 10% discount, however the service needs some work and I hope other people that visit this establishment don't receive the treatment that we received.

    Chicken Tandoor

Amazing restaurant - had a large party here last week and it was a great experience. My favorite part was how all the food on the menu consistently tasted great. The chili chicken was my #1 favorite- perfect ratio of sweet, spicy and savory. The portion sizes were extremely satisfying. For my main course, I ordered the tandoori chicken which was a delight. I personally thought it was a little too wet (I thought tandoori chicken is usually on the drier side) but that didn't compromise the taste. The service here is top notch. I'd give them 10 stars if I could. The waiters and even the owner regularly checked up on us to make sure everything was to our satisfaction- very nice people as well. It was getting a little hot at one point and the owner offered to adjust the air conditioning right away. Big fan of the ambience as well. Good light, comfortable seating and overall cozy vibe.

    Plain Utappam
    Vini E.

Visited the restaurant again today and wow they've changed their exterior, the decor, seating and overall ambience is so good now. Food and service seem to have gotten better too. Today we got the usual mango lassi for my son with plain utthappam. Uthappam was soft and portion size was really decent. He couldn't finish it so we helped him at the end. My husband got the chicken 65 with fried rice, it was really tasty, especially the fried rice. Chicken chukka was also very flavorful. I'm really satisfied with the portion to price ratio! I recommend this restaurant.... Also parking is never an issue and it's conveniently located

Food was DELICIOUS and came out quick. 10/10 would highly recommend and if I am back in the area, I will definitely go again. Our waiter was so nice and very attentive. The restaurant is very pretty, clean and welcoming. I loved the flower selfie area at the front by the bar.

    Mysore masala dosa
    Janki P.

I got the Mysore masala dosa. Dosa was good, sambar was good, both the chutneys I didn't like. Portion size of dal is better than most places. Overall, food was good, but probably would be even better eating there when it's fresh.

Empty items not filled for a long time ... poor buffet experience

Wanted to try their buffet but the experience was overall very disappointing. First the good part 1. The staff was friendly and courteous. They were really trying to run a good operation but were unable to handle the rush period appropriately. So there were many pissed off customers. 2. There were some items in the buffet that tasted good. The briyanis (egg, chicken) and tandoori gobi were very good. Mutton briyani was not bad. The bad part 1. It first started with them quoting a very unreal waiting time of 15 mins while the actual wait was between 45 mins to 60 mins. They were basically quoting 15 mins to everyone, to keep people waiting but real wait time was way longer. It was obvious watching them while waiting that they were quoting wrong time on purpose to just keep people from going somewhere else. 2. Overall buffet Items were basic and the only sweet was kesari. For a $25 buffet would expect much more. 3. For a large part of the time items were not filled. When certain items are not there during key times, can't eat a proper meal. For example there we're literally 2 pieces of tandoori gobi when we started the buffet and I took one of them. It was tasty but it was never filled during our entire time at the buffet. When we were almost done they filled it with fried gobi. Totally different dish ! Only seafood item was tilapia fry which was basic. When I called them and asked about items, they mentioned Pompret masala fry, but we realized that was clearly wrong information when we actually went there. Will not try buffet here again, maybe stick to take out of specific dishes.

I love Indian so I said "sure, why not!" A group of 8 of us went and as we all scoured the menu, it occurred to us that this place was vegetarian only. My initial thought (and I'm sure other peoples also) was.. "oh snap.... Did I make a mistake?" Honestly, it's been a long time that I've been to a non-meat establishment and had I known in advance, I probably would have passed this restaurant up, but since I was already there, I, along with everyone else, went with it. We were all seated, drinks had been poured, everyone was committed to their chairs. There was no backing out. From looking at the menu, it seemed like Dosas were popular so being that it was supposed to be a South Indian restaurant, I decided to get it. My friends got the gobi, one spicy and one non spicy. Guys, the spicy was incredibleee. Loved it so much. It was crunchy on the outside, soft in the inside and had a punch to it. But I will say, the non-spicy was just okay, it just didn't deliver that kick to it. When the dosa came, I was in love. It was a beautifully done dosa, with the perfect curl and texture. Paired with the sides, it was delicious. Fast forward six months later, I went to BLR Bar again, but slightly fearful that I wouldn't enjoy it as much the second time around. My fears were put to rest because it was just as delicious as the first time. If you're looking for authentic southern Indian Dosas, look no further. Pay BLR Bar & Curry a visit ASAP!

From a mouthwatering menu, I managed to defer on a dosa in exchange for a soup delivered with some fried dumplings and a delectable mix of herbs and spices. My entrée was a dry fried okra dish, which came with peanuts, which made it quite heavy I asked for it hot and this wasn't the most immediate spice sensation, but the delayed burn was considerable. It came with some delightful vegetable ribbons on top. Having said that this was the kind of place where I also found myself gazing. It was the other tables ordered with longing. They asked me to come back sometime and if I am in the neighborhood, I would certainly look to return.

Accuracy:I really appreciated how they packed everything with care, everything we ordered was there and the portion sizes were great. We had enough for dinner again today. Value:On the app that we ordered from there was a buy one get one free option so plenty of food for the value. Notes / Things to Know: It's important to know that this is a South Indian restaurant, and regional Indian cuisines vary a lot. The spice profiles and flavor balance here will be different from what you might be used to at North Indian restaurants. Not better or worse , just different. The Chicken 65 was the standout -- delicious, great heat, curry leaves, and the exact spice level I was craving. The Butter Chicken was good, but just a heads-up: ithis dish tends to be sweeter, creamier, and more subtle in seasoning than the North Indian version many people expect. If that's your preference, you may find it milder here.

For starters we ordered chicken chapli kabab, tandoori fish tikka and dahi ke kabab. Dahi kebab was the winner, it was crispy and soft and went perfectly well with its sweet gravy which was good twist to this simple appetizer. My second favorite was the chapli kabab, it was so soft and juicy and very light on spice. Their fish dishes were a little disappointing, I guess the fish and preparation both were not impressive. We couldn't stop ourselves from ordering some desserts, so we ordered their balu shahi with Rabri and gulab jamun with icecream. Rabri was great, but balushahi was big, seemed undercooked and bland. It's very difficult to mess up gulab jamun so that was good. The service was fast and the people were so friendly.
