Food is pretty decent. Not NY cart level but good. Be prepared to wait. It took an hour to get two plates.

Stopped in with some friends after attending a Cary Corpse Crawl (highly recommend for some spooky fun) and even though it seemed packed we were seated immediately. Our server was also the bartender but that didn't stop him from being attentive. I had the Crispy Chicken sandwich, I mean you can't go wrong with waffle battered chicken! They did not skim, this sandwich was topped with two large pieces of chicken, a spicy maple syrup aioli and candied bacon!!! Yes, please. We'll be back to check out brunch but I really want to go back to try some cocktails. Per usual we ordered the local beer on tap, which was fantastic but our friends ordered 2 different old fashions one was traditional and the other was Brown Butter Salted Carmel, I had drink envy all night!

Girl waiting on us was friendly but did not come around enough to fill our water. We had to ask another server for water. I had the Tropical bowl with grilled chicken and the dressing on the side. It had good flavor - not very much food for the price- it was only about a quarter of a piece of chicken. The place had music that was almost too loud.

The hotel property is charming and thoughtfully designed, with a mix of tables, sofas, and comfortable chairs that create a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. We arrived 3/4 past noon and chose to sit in the study/library area rather than the main dining room. I would strongly recommend this option. The study is quiet and comfortable, while the main restaurant area was noticeably louder. The proximity allows you to enjoy the ambiance without the noise. The menu offerings felt fairly typical for this style of restaurant. We tried the skillet cornbread. It was served room temperature and on the dry side. However, the whipped butter that accompanied it was excellent. Unfortunately, the cornbread was not warm enough to melt it, which would have improved the experience. The Italian wedding soup was very good and served properly hot. We also ordered the local lettuces salad with chicken. The salad itself was fresh, but the chicken was visibly dry and tasted the same. Interestingly, placing the chicken into the soup made it more enjoyable. The double cheeseburger was average. The bun struggled to hold together under the two patties and cheese. The flavor was acceptable but not memorable. Our server was exceptional. Attentive, professional, and gracious throughout the meal. The service elevated the the mediocre experience. Overall, Peck & Plume offers a beautiful setting and excellent service. For a quieter meal, request the study/library seating. While the food was satisfactory, it did not quite match the charm of the surroundings. Would we go again? Maybe. If we did, we would order different items. But, we would request Brian as the server.

I really enjoyed the Baja turkey sandwich on Dakota bread. This was very flavorful and every ingredient was so fresh and the sandwich is prepared and presented very nicely. My concern was the bread getting wet but it wasn't at all. I would have to agree with this being "the best sandwich on earth" as mentioned on Good Harvest website cafe menu. Baja Turkey is made with turkey breast with chipotle honey lime yogurt sauce, shaved cabbage, pickled red onions, avocado, and pepper jack cheese. I didn't get avocado and added bacon and WOW! What a sandwich this was. Every bite was bursting with excitement. Don't walk, run over there to get yours. You will not be disappointed. I can't wait to try Breakfast. Great Harvest is close proximity to areas I frequent and had never really noticed Great Harvest in all these years. I'm glad I have experienced what they have to offer. The service was pleasant. The staff were helpful. They offer all types of fresh baked goods and were also offering samples. I passed on the baked sweet goodies but I bet they're just as delicious. It's a small cafe style space and it somewhat reminds me of LaFarm.

While we were standing in line, one of the staff members asked us if we wanted to try some of the fresh bread, and of course we said yes :) we picked the Parmesan-y one and it was very tasty! For our actual lunch, I snagged the Italian on white bread, while my wife got the Green Goddess turkey sandwich on honey wheat. The food was prepared quickly and the staff member who delivered it was super nice! My sandwich was pretty tasty, with a solid olive tapenade, but I kind of wish I had picked a different bread since the white ended up being nice and soft but also a little boring :) Hey, they recommended that I pick that one! Also, each sandwich came with a pickle, which my wife described as being a bit too salty - I'm not a huge fan of pickles so I passed mine over to my wife. Overall, my experience was very solid. I'm not sure I would drive out of my way to come here, but if I was in the area, I'd definitely come back.

I usually order the two chicken skewer kabobs with rice, a super salad, and the jalapeño cilantro hummus. The hummus is *so* good that I often grab a small container to take with me when I travel. Everything tastes incredibly fresh, and you can really tell they use quality ingredients, especially with olive oil as a base. They offer both fresh pita and gluten-free pita, which is great for anyone with dietary restrictions. Honestly, I could make a meal just out of all the sides--they're that good. The menu is consistently solid, and I feel like you really can't go wrong with anything you order. It's a perfect spot for a low-key lunch or dinner. Also worth noting: on Tuesdays, kids eat free with a paying adult, which is a great bonus for families. Highly recommend!

It's the kind of place where you can tell a lot of thought goes into how each dish is built. Every bite had so much flavor and nothing felt repetitive or expected. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to walk us through the menu, explain different dishes, and help us decide what to try. The ambiance ties it all together. It strikes that perfect balance of being elevated but still relaxed. It feels like a place you can come to wind down at the end of the day, but also somewhere you'd confidently bring friends who are visiting and want to show them a great spot.
