Had one of those late night cravings for wings and decided to try them out via UBER EATS. Normally I'd order Wingstop but I wanted my food fast even at midnight. I was afraid of being disappointed so for my 1st order had 6pack wings cooked well done and flavored with garlic parm and crinkle fries. They crunchy celery went well with the blue cheese. The meal arrived promptly and still hot! Absolutely luv the way it was boxed which ensured heat and presented well on arrival. I also got additional garlic parm on side which I didn't even need to use. These wings were smashing, perfectly seasoned, cooked and the amount of meat on the wings was good quality. My friends and I came over Friday night at about 2 or 3 AM and ordered 25 lemon pepper wings. They were fried PERFECTLY and we were provided the Buffalo sauce and ranch that we had requested when ordering. I enjoy my wings fried well and they literally friend every wing to my liking. For some reason, there are lots of establishments who just refuse to fry my wings hard and I thoroughly appreciate my preferences being taken seriously! Ten out of ten will continue to order again! -So "Wings Over Raleigh" has been our "Favorite Fuckups" since we moved to Raleigh. I will have to say though although the first couple times were a bit a miss we continued to give them chances and they have become a staple in our house. We order them usually every Friday lol. Their customer service has dramatically improved as well as shortened wait times. We have consistently had good service as well as quicker than quoted delivery times. So if your delivery is a miss - give them a call and they will happily rectify your order and if not the owner will gladly do it! He runs a tight shift and I have been able to tell a huge change since he has stepped in. Don't give up, sometimes you just need some luck. read more

I got the Puddle Jumper (10 wings) with the Jamaican Jerk and Cruisin' Altitude sauces and their waffle fries with garlic parmesan. The wings were very soggy and did not remain crispy or close to it at all. The sauce was okay. I had trouble picking up on the Jamaican Jerk flavors that you would normally associate with jerk chicken. The buffalo sauce provided a good flavor. I'd definitely love to try other flavors next time and ask for "well done" wings. The fries I got were a major disappointment in comparison to the wings. They were very dry towards the center almost as if they had been sitting there for a while. The garlic parmesan seasoning seems to be a dry seasoning (looked like corn meal for some reason) that they sprinkle on but none of it stuck to the fries...whomp. Despite hearing good things about the things, this was a very underwhelming experience via delivery. I am definitely going to give them another try in the near future and hope for better things. We stopped by Wings Over Raleigh to pick up a combo pack before a Panthers game watch party today. They have a nice location on Hillsborough street - right across the street from University Towers and Zaxbys. We parked in the lot behind their building - which is really convenient. I was glad that I didn't have to park in front of the store and back out onto Hillsborough. This is my second stop at this Wings over. I enjoy the boneless wings and waffle fries. On my first trip, I ordered a D.C.-3 (all items have an aviation related name). This is their smallest order of boneless wings. It's about 5 big chicken fingers. Today we ordered a Hangar 3 combo pack. I like that you can order up to four different sauce flavors for this combo. We also asked for the ranch seasoning on the waffle fries - yum. Will definitely be back for more boneless wings and waffle fries. I also want to try their Buffalo chicken sandwich next time. Nc state students - walk on over. They have a small but, nice seating area. They also deliver downtown, out to Tryon road (including Renaissance park) and almost out to the fair grounds. Thanks Wings Over! I had a hankering for some hot wings last night, and not sure where to go, I consulted the ol' yelp mobile app on our way down the elevator and out the door. I had recalled seeing a spot across from Zaxby's on Hillsborough just down the road. Found it!!! Wings Over Raleigh, I had high hopes and you did NOT disappoint! We were greeted by two very nice ladies. The place seemed a bit empty but I did not let that be a warning. We ordered a 10 wing order and a 15 wing order (all bone-in), and some waffle fries. For the wing orders, you can order a different flavor sauce or dry rub for each group of 5. We ordered: 1) Buffalo style wings: "Cruisin Altitude" - one level hotness above "wimpy" - don't judge! (Delicious!) 2) Jamaican Jerk (very tasty!) 3) Sweet Chili (very sweet, but plays well with others) 4) Garlic Parmesan, a Dry Rub. (OK, but I like it better wet I think). All were delicious, and I ranked them above in my choice of best first. You have your choice of blue cheese or ranch sauce, or both. The wings were large and meaty and I have found my new favorite wing joint! Yay!!!! Pro Tip: When you order your fries, you can ask for them with a dry rub. I love good wings and they can be found here! Big meaty crispy wings with tasty coatings. I recently got an order of 10 bone in wings. Half were the hottest buffalo style wings they had, "afterburner"(everything is plane related). They were very tasty and had a good amount of heat, if you're looking for your head to explode from heat these will not do it though, so don't be scared. The other half were a garlic Parmesan dry rub which were extra crispy and had tons of garlicky flavor, both were good choices. They currently have odd hours being open late every day but only open for lunch fri-sun. They have a ton of other things to order from different types of fries to ribs and even a hamburger. I think their prices are fair, 7.99 for 10 wings is good imo. They also have giant boneless wings for people who don't want to deal with a bone. read more

I love this place. I've been to Raleigh twice, and I went both times. I got the tenders with garlic parm dry rub. OMG!!! That is the best chicken tender I've ever had, and it's not even that expensive. The waffle fries are super fluffy and delicious. Ordered $80 of food to take to my dad on Father's day to have wings with the family. Get to my dad's place and they left off an order of 4 chicken tenders ($8). The tenders were on the receipt. I had him read the order back to me after he took it over the phone. No big deal, I will call them after we eat and see how this can be resolved. When you order that much food for pick up, they pack it for travel. To unpack it to make sure it is all there would be a hassle. I guess trusting them to do their job is too much. When I called the man on the phone said he could "talk to the cook" and "see what they could do" and was placed on hold. He did not sound like cared at all. I was not going to wait on hold so maybe I could drive back there and get food I already paid for, but really needed about an hour ago. In these situations it is a little tough, because you want your food order in total when you go to eat. It is not just the $8 of tenders I did not have, but it diminishes the whole meal. And now I have to figure out how to get the money or the tenders. What I got was no apologies, just run around. There are other places that have wings. read more

Very large wings but VERY messy. Sort of a sloppy breading on them which soaks in the sauces, but they don't get crispy enough this way. Poor PR and customer service. I placed an order for wings and a Caesar salad with ranch instead of caesar dressing and was charged an additional price due to the fact that I requested a different dressing. The young lady taking my order did not inform me of this additional charge. Also when placing a previous order the restaurant did not provide me with dressing; I asked if I could receive the dressing with the current order and I was told no that I would have to pay an additional fee. My question is; what has happened to customer service and ensuring that your customers are satisfied?? Poor review has nothing to do with the food, which is fine. I ordered online and included my tip, upon delivery, the driver handed me a device to sign. This device presented another tip screen before signing, without a prominent display if any of your total. In my dreary state, I reentered my tip and signed. I noticed afterwards that my total had differed from before, and than an entire third of my order total in tips. I did call the driver back who mentioned that it is a weird thing that he normally notifies the customer of before signing. That said, I do NOT blame the driver for this. It is absolutely unbelievable that a company would design their POS system this way. I am only led to believe that Wings Over designed this to take advantage of those who have had a few....or in my instance, have just gotten off from a very long shift. On more than one occasion I've had terrible delivery service from driver Michael. Upon his call to tell me he was outside, I ended up standing outside for nearly 10 minutes, waiting for him to pull up to my office building. On other occasions he went to the wrong building, and I had to walk to him. On the worst occasion I had to go into his car to get my food out, he didn't care one bit either! HOW ANNOYING! Had delivery through GrubHub and it was great! The waffle fries were a little soft but that is to be expected when hot fries go straight into a styrofoam box and steam themselves a bit. Cajun flavor on them was delicious though and the spicy teriyaki, honey mustard sauces and garlic parmesan dry rub were all really flavorful. Wings were moist on the inside, crispy on the outside, even with the sauce on them, and had some great chew. It was a good quality wing!
