The biggest caveat is: don't go there in a t-shirt and shorts, it's literally like eating in a walk-in freezer, it's so cold that it's uncomfortable. The Double bacon burger was fresh and a decent burger for fast food. The sesame seed bun was a bit too flaky for me. The bacon was the texture of ready to eat/heat bacon which took away from the burger. Do I recommend? I wouldn't go out of my way for this unless I'm just riding by the restaurants. It was ok! The fires were hot and fresh but a bit too salty for me. I suggest ordering those without salt to control that yourself. Honestly, if I ever went back I'd just do a regular burger without the bacon and no fries . Although the fries were decent. I'm not a huge fan! The service was satisfactory here. We ordered the jalapeño Cali burger combo, a single Cali burger, chocolate waffle cone, chicken nugget kids meal, and I ordered a chocolate milkshake and friend okra. It took awhile to receive our order since it's made to order. When we finally received our food my chocolate milkshake was missing and friend okra. It took an additional 15 minutes to receive the shake and I never got the fries okra. My brother went to the counter to find out what happened and the cashier said he took it off the order. So I ended up only having a chocolate milkshake. Overall, the customer service was not worth the food. Some places have excellent food and you may over look the customer service but not here. I hate that I live so far away because I love the food at Cali Burger. It's always cooked to order and I appreciate that they have a variety of things that I can get on the menu. Of course I'm going to get a burger with beef bacon and of course I get an extra side of the Cali sauce. I can never pass up a side of taquitos And I heard I need to get a milkshake. Skip ketchup and mayo, as it comes with a sauce (similar to Big Mac sauce). Onions rings are substantial, but had an aftertaste and increase combo price. This isn't fast food. These are the best burgers in Raleigh and they are the best burgers I have had in my life! I love Cali Burger so much! This was the best fast food burger I've ever had. It was a nice hearty burger at a decent price! I loved that it was wrapped in paper, it made me feel like a special little California girl :p I also got a cookies and cream milkshake and it was bangin. Besides those two items though, I was left with lack luster fried sides. I got mozzarella sticks, fried okra, and curly fries. Everything lacked seasoning. The batter on the cheese was quite thick and the whole thing was misshaped that when we got our food, I took a nervous bite out of it because I didn't even know what it was. Also to note, they are pictured with marinara sauce and the okra with ranch. Neither sauces were included. I asked for ranch separately so I did get that. I was hoping it was gonna be top tier but upon the first look, I knew it was too thick to be homemade. Probably hidden valley or an iteration of such. I will say the fries were a great texture and they would've been perfect if there was some seasoning on them. The last points I'd like to give out are for them having brisk raspberry tea on the drink menu. Nearly no one serves that anymore but it reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese (positive). I am not a burger fan at all. Though I went with my boyfriend to try their burgers out one day and I got the valued Cali burger for $2.99 and we've been going since. Today I am going to try the lettuce wrap (#16) and I'm so excited! Honestly pretty solid food and the staff are very hard workers! The environment is clean and very well kept. As a SoCal native, I was so excited to try this burger in the hopes that it would be like In-N-Out, while it wasn't like that burger, it was very reminiscent of smaller California foods chains like Farmer Boys. We tried the Single Cali Burger, Double Cali Burger, and the Jalapeño Burger. The burgers were amazing and the fact that they cost the same as a fast food burger but are way better quality made it even better. When it comes to sides, we loved the zucchini fries and onion rings. The popcorn chicken and curly fries were average. The aesthetic inside is definitely reminiscent of In-N-Out and has a retro vibe. Got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake and it was ok too, would have liked it a bit more sweeter but I guess it's good if you don't like super sweet stuff. My bf got the Reese's one, we didn't really like it, it was too many pieces and more peanut butter than chocolate.
