Was very surprised that this place was really good! The burgers are big too. I don't usually like crinkle fries but I liked these bc they had a good seasoning. Especially loved the bacon, definitely good quality. Also liked their house sauce. We would definitely come back. They have a lot of other menu items like corn dogs & chili dogs. It's definitely more of a fast food type vibe inside. Service was great, very helpful and friendly. read more

The Double bacon burger was fresh and a decent burger for fast food. The sesame seed bun was a bit too flaky for me. The bacon was the texture of ready to eat/heat bacon which took away from the burger. Do I recommend? I wouldn't go out of my way for this unless I'm just riding by the restaurants. It was ok! The fires were hot and fresh but a bit too salty for me. I suggest ordering those without salt to control that yourself. Honestly, if I ever went back I'd just do a regular burger without the bacon and no fries . Although the fries were decent. I'm not a huge fan! The service was satisfactory here. Nothing to really call out! read more

Cali Burger - Double Bacon Cali Burger - Burgers Near Me - Raleigh, North Carolina

College burger place near NC State. Everything is, I believe, halal and the community seems to support the restaurant well. The counter folks are extremely nice, and it appears that everything is prepared fresh. The burgers are good, nice maillard crust on the burgers which adds to the good flavor! Had the fried zucchini sticks and they were top-notch! The biggest caveat is: don't go there in a t-shirt and shorts, it's literally like eating in a walk-in freezer, it's so cold that it's uncomfortable. But definitely recommended for a quality burger! read more

Went for the first time last summer and we were pleased. First off they have a huge menu and there are so many different things to try. They have chicken, fish, veggies, hotdogs, wraps, salads-- literally whatever you want(fast food wise) they probably have it lol. We had the veggie burger, double burger and the wing basket. All were really good. Crinkle fries aren't my favorite but they were still good also! Wings were small but the taste was great. Not pictured but we also shared the Cinnamon Toast Crunch shake which was amazing! The inside was spacious and there's plenty of seating and parking. Everything seemed clean. Would come back and try other menu items. read more

I believe this is a locally owned Franchise of a chain. Used to be an Arby's. Had a bacon cheese burger with everything on it and onion rings with an iced tea. The person I was with had a lettuce wrap burger with French fries. Food was great. The counter people and cooks are always nice and make you feel special. Nice restaurant with a very open feel in the dinning area. Looks clean and inviting. read more

I really like Cali Burger. The burgers are good and cooked to order. I love the fact that they serve beef bacon. I think all restaurants should. This time I tried the Cinnamon Toast Milkshake - that was good. I do wish that there were different sizes of the fries and onion rings. I believe they only have one read more

We came but to try a few items: taquitos, jalapeño burger, regular single burger, and fish sandwich. The burgers were phenomenal! Perfectly wrapped, lots of toppings. Great quality meat with a sear. The taquitos were good. Fries needed to be crisper but great flavor! The fish sandwich.... its just needs a tastier tartar sauce and it would be perfect. read more

We were in the area and decided to try Cali burger and we had a good experience.I ordered one double bacon burger combo which came with fries and a drink. The burger was made fresh and loved how much bacon they put on the burger. The fries were good and seasoned and i loved the sauce that came to dip with it! My meal came out to about $14 with tax. The inside seating area could use a little work but otherwise everything was fine. Came on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and it was about a 15 minute wait for our food to come out. read more

This was not my original choice for lunch but I figured I'd try something new. When we arrived the cashier was ready to take our order. Once we started to order the cashier started looking at his phone and in the middle of ordering ran off to show the kitchen staff something on his phone. We still proceeded to order despite this. We ordered the jalapeño Cali burger combo, a single Cali burger, chocolate waffle cone, chicken nugget kids meal, and I ordered a chocolate milkshake and friend okra. It took awhile to receive our order since it's made to order. When we finally received our food my chocolate milkshake was missing and friend okra. It took an additional 15 minutes to receive the shake and I never got the fries okra. My brother went to the counter to find out what happened and the cashier said he took it off the order. So I ended up only having a chocolate milkshake. Overall, the customer service was not worth the food. Some places have excellent food and you may over look the customer service but not here. I will not be returning. read more

I hate that I live so far away because I love the food at Cali Burger. It's always cooked to order and I appreciate that they have a variety of things that I can get on the menu. Of course I'm going to get a burger with beef bacon and of course I get an extra side of the Cali sauce. I can never pass up a side of taquitos And I heard I need to get a milkshake. The next time I go. The kitchen always looks clean and the team is friendly and efficient. They have a large seating area so I'm sure even when it's busy there's a lot of space for people to walk around. Anytime I'm in the area. I always stop by to get some great food. read more

Cali Burger fell short for me. My burger came out cold. I was disappointed! The best part was the patty. The fries were fresh but the poppers were sad. For the price point, I don't think it was worth it. To be honest, there are better burgers out there. read more

Good burger and onion rings... just when I needed it! Service was friendly and quick. It's the best burger in Raleigh!

I'm a little older. Also, I wear glasses. Baby, I couldn't read the menu - and the loud speaker was going in and out. Also, I got loss (first option) and Yelp suggested this establishment. I ordered the single combo (cheese, ketchup , mayo) with onion rings (ranch dressing)- drink with light ice. A very, very, very good burger. Knowing what I know now, get a double. Skip ketchup and mayo, as it comes with a sauce (similar to Big Mac sauce). Onions rings are substantial, but had an aftertaste and increase combo price. This isn't fast food. I waited in drive thru 15+ minutes. However, the food is totally worth it. The burger is moist, and flavorful and placed on (what appeared to be) potato bun. Looking forward to trying again. Finally! A halal burger spot that is so so good! This place was giving a vibe of In n Out, but in my opinion is better! The burgers are delicious and the curly fries were perfectly crispy. Milkshake was well blended and had so many pieces of Reese's in every sip. Will definitely be back! read more

If you like In-N-Out this is a very fun yummy burger spot that has similar tastes and styles. GREAT fresh tasting food!

We were looking for a place near Meredith College and noticed Cali Burger. Ordered cheese burgers with all but pickles and sodas. Great, tasty burgers. Food brought to our table and the wait person asked if the music was too loud and offered to turn it down. I assured him we were fine. We weren't really sure what to expect with few in the restaurant when we entered but it became busier and we were very happy with our food and service. read more

Decent burger. Great fries. My oldest really liked the corn fried and ice creams swirl. Sauces were really good. Simple place. No frills. Great service. Friendly. read more

Excellent burger and fantastic service! We were impressed with our burgers, both the flavors and the freshness (the lettuce was crunchy!). The service was great as well. They were short-staffed and forgot my shake, and the guy at the register apologized and made it himself. I also watched another customer who was concerned about seeds on the buns and the employee showed him a seedless bun used for chicken sandwiches and used that for his burger without making any fuss. We'll be going back, and bringing our kids & friends! read more

Awesome food! I thought this place was going to be like in n out but it's way better. More like the family burger shops you find in CA that I don't see much out here. They have a wide menu at fair prices. Lots of burgers but also breakfast, breakfast burritos, fried mushrooms and zucchini, chicken sandwiches, hot dogs, etc. They have some good flavors of shakes too! Definitely worth checking out. I got the bacon Cali burger and it was so good and filling. Great burger sauce, thicccc bacon, perfect thick seasoned fries. read more

This was the best fast food burger I've ever had. It was a nice hearty burger at a decent price! I loved that it was wrapped in paper, it made me feel like a special little California girl :p I also got a cookies and cream milkshake and it was bangin. Besides those two items though, I was left with lack luster fried sides. I got mozzarella sticks, fried okra, and curly fries. Everything lacked seasoning. The batter on the cheese was quite thick and the whole thing was misshaped that when we got our food, I took a nervous bite out of it because I didn't even know what it was. Also to note, they are pictured with marinara sauce and the okra with ranch. Neither sauces were included. I asked for ranch separately so I did get that. I was hoping it was gonna be top tier but upon the first look, I knew it was too thick to be homemade. Probably hidden valley or an iteration of such. I will say the fries were a great texture and they would've been perfect if there was some seasoning on them. The last points I'd like to give out are for them having brisk raspberry tea on the drink menu. Nearly no one serves that anymore but it reminds me of Chuck E. Cheese (positive). I went through the drive thru and while it didn't bother me too much, we were the only people in line but the food took around 5-10 mins to get. Just a note to my impatient peeps. I would like to go back and try some more menu items like popcorn chicken, corn dogs, and Mac and cheese bites. Perhaps then I can give them the 5 stars it pains me not to give out now. read more

I kept seeing the reviews saying these were the best burgers in Raleigh or the best burgers people have had...They are right! These are the best burgers in Raleigh and they are the best burgers I have had in my life! I love Cali Burger so much! I go through the drive through, be prepared to wait as your food is cooked fresh! The people that work here are so nice and friendly, they always make me smile! My order is the Double Cali Burger, sometimes with bacon, and it is perfect! I also get a side of Cali Sauce, it is sooo good! I love the fries and the seasoning they put on them. I have also enjoyed the fried okra. But, let me tell you, the onion rings! OMG the onion rings, I love them, I literally think about them all the time! They are so crispy and the right amount of salty and sweet for me! This is currently my favorite place to eat in Raleigh! Please try it if you are searching for the perfect burger. They also have a pretty huge menu of other things! read more

Delicious. great burger and delicious sides at a great place price. I can see why people compared it to In n Out, which it is not, because the patty was hot, the lettuce, tomatoes, onion and pickle were cold and fresh, plus the thousand sauce. It's not the same, sorry Cali transplants, but still a great burger and sides. I'll def be back. read more

I am not a burger fan at all. Though I went with my boyfriend to try their burgers out one day and I got the valued Cali burger for $2.99 and we've been going since. Today I am going to try the lettuce wrap (#16) and I'm so excited! Honestly pretty solid food and the staff are very hard workers! The environment is clean and very well kept. I would definitely recommend this to people who like burgers or who haven't had a burger in a while! Update: I will be ordering #16. It was very filling and I was honestly impressed with the amount of lettuce they put on there! This was amazing in my eyes! read more

What in the world is all the hype about??? Overall kinda of felt dirty ...very slow service. Five Guys is better. Some of the reviews said best burger they ever had. I'm Muslim so to discover a place that was halal was great and most importantly not having to worry about the menu items being something that I could not eat. We were near NC State campus and needed a place to go for lunch. Found Cali Burger on the Yelp app and decided to give it a try. They are located in the old Arby's building on Hillsborough Street. The burgers were delicious, and the fries have a good seasoning on them. There are a lot of fried options instead of fries. My husband got the onion rings and said although they were not homemade, they were good. There is also a large list of milkshake options. Would definitely come back. read more

We happened upon CaliBurger late last night when everything else was closed. Their burgers and crinkle fries are the best in town. I had a CaliLettuce wrap. Delicious! As a SoCal native, I was so excited to try this burger in the hopes that it would be like In-N-Out, while it wasn't like that burger, it was very reminiscent of smaller California foods chains like Farmer Boys. We tried the Single Cali Burger, Double Cali Burger, and the Jalapeño Burger. The burgers were amazing and the fact that they cost the same as a fast food burger but are way better quality made it even better. When it comes to sides, we loved the zucchini fries and onion rings. The popcorn chicken and curly fries were average. The aesthetic inside is definitely reminiscent of In-N-Out and has a retro vibe. The team behind the counter were super nice too! This place is new so there are still some growing pains but this place deserves a try if you're in the area! read more

Good burgers and fries. Service was a little slow but food was better than other fast food places.

This location was very clean and the staff were friendly. Got a single cali burger and it was pretty good, only thing I didn't realize it comes with everything on it(lettuce, tomato, onion) for no charge which is fine but I don't like onion or tomato so had to take it off myself. Got curly fries and they were really crispy more than the crinkle fries, they were ok. Got the Cinnamon Toast Crunch milkshake and it was ok too, would have liked it a bit more sweeter but I guess it's good if you don't like super sweet stuff. My bf got the Reese's one, we didn't really like it, it was too many pieces and more peanut butter than chocolate. I would come here again though cause the food is good, will try out more milkshakes later. read more
