Hey NC state. SO, my last review mentioned 2 places that I supposedly had to try while out in North Carolina. First one being cookout, second being bojangles. It's BO time I guess. Came after camp around 2:30 on a Sunday. Not super crowded and much different ambience than I was expecting. Ordered and split the 3 piece supremes dinner and asked for a bo-berry biscuit and a cheer wine (first time trying both) This place is great! Being from California, we don't have these anywhere near us and it's a crime, the chicken here is fine. Probably similar to a Popeyes, but the fries are maybe the best fries I've ever had. Both kinds of biscuits, the Bo-Berry and the regular Biscuits are fantastic. The berry one is almost like a cake/scone and the biscuit is a regular dinner biscuit but it's so buttery and fluffy. really great stuff. The cheer wine was basically cherry coke but not mad at it at all Overall, pretty freaking good. Pissed that I get to have this now and will maybe never have it again. Try it out 4.25/5 read more

This location is a bit of a meme around campus but I've never had anything but great food and customer service here. Not much better than Bojangles Cajun filet biscuit for breakfast! It can get pretty busy at peak times but they do a good job of getting everyone through. The facilities are pretty clean. read more

I was not going to write a review initially because I felt that the marked friendliness of the Cashier over -rode the negatives.Then I got home and opened my Order . I ORDERED and paid for TWO WHITE pieces of chicken and a PICNIC sized Pinto Beans. After paying for my order I realized that I wanted to add a tea .The Cashier said that I could have it for free .Which I thought was exceptionally nice and good marketing and made a mental note to favor this location in the future . They first brought me a regular size pinto beans .When I pointed out I had ordered a Picnic size I was brought another small size and told the two of them equal a Picnic size ( No it is not .Two small containers of beans equals 1/2 a picnic size ). I decided to overlook this because " Free tea"!) Then I got home and saw that while I had paid extra for two white pieces of chicken I had been given a dark and a white . One of the pinto bean bowls had been SCRAPED out of a canister and contained inedible PINTO SLUDGE. The biscuit and the tea were good . I am writing this in detail in hopes that some manager sees this and can correct what is going on at this location .Frpm my observation it appeared that no one was keeping up with what food was needed until AFTER they ran out. I stopped by Bojangles on West Sugar Creek in Charlotte. After standing in line for 10 mins, just to order 2 BoRounds and a cup of coffee, they tell me I had to wait another 5-7 mins for them bc they had run out...then I get the BoRounds and no coffee!!!! WTH?? she tells me I didn't order coffee (I Did) but they kept calling the Manager to come and help at the window!!! Worst service ever and will NEVER go to this location again! Ahh, Bojangles is back! Stumbled upon these reviews and they got my imagination going. Think crispy, juicy fried chicken with delicious crunch and greasiness. Flavorful dirty rice and a light, fluffy biscuit with just a hint of saltiness. Wash it all down with some sweet tea and you're good to go... A true Southern treat! Bojangles is light years better than KFC and outshines even Popeye's. I've hit this location a bunch of times, I'd guiltily sneak in my box of chicken to my desk hoping people wouldn't pass too much judgment on my lunch choice. Not to sound ridiculous, but we're pretty damned lucky to have Bojangles in NC. When I heard that it's only located in a handful of America's fine 50 states, I figured we'd either dodged a bullet or struck gold. Depending on which idiom suits your fancy, by God. With that out of the way, this particular Bo is just fine, but there's one glaring ugly about it that I have to point out... When coming from the direction of Pullen Park (i think that's the only direction to use, actually), the entrance is a hard right up a short, but steep hill. If done wrong, you can do all kinds of bad to your car. Especially if there's a driver exiting - then you have to employ evasive maneuvers like you're Han Solo or somebody like that. But, done right, and you're on your way to enjoying the absolute shit out of some of the finest biscuits and well-made chicken this side of __________ (fill it in yourself. you know that other place you like.) read more

I will never come here again almos every time I come my order is wrong or the food is not fresh. But the store was in route so I decided to come against my better judgment. My food was hard as if it had been in the heater for hour. I call they tell me to come in with my receipt to get a replacement mea. I come back and they tell me I can't get a replacement on my food it's against their policy. The customer service is horrible a bunch of kids with no training and no manner. Never again read more

Bojangles' always seems to be consistent with me no matter what location I'm at. This location is near my friend's house, so it's become a Sunday morning tradition when I visit overnight. Apparently it's a Sunday morning tradition for others in the area, too, as both times I've been here, they've been quite busy in the drive-through. The first time I came here, they had two workers working out the back door, one taking orders verbally over headset & one taking the money. I was a bit perplexed by this, but thankfully my order was correct when I got my food (at the normal window). This second time, a nice computer screen confirmed my order that I placed (normal operations). While the drive-through line (both times) was packed, they got us through in a timely manner. The food has been perfect (my steak biscuit combo with bo rounds, friend: cajun filet biscuit with fries) & of course, the sweet tea is always delicious! A nice sweet treat on the day before Valentine's Day. I'd just gotten my car back after some body work and was feeling pretty spirited for a fabulous Friday. Passed through the drive-thru to pick up a Sweet Tea, sausage biscuit, and Bo Berry Biscuit as a quick reward and boost to the day. Sweet tea and sausage biscuit were just as delicious as always. Imagine my surprise when I opened the Bo Berry Biscuit at the office though. It was a heart-shaped design! How thoughtful that Bojangles would think to do something like that. I shared the image with many people and it brought smiles to their faces too. Impressed and heartfelt from a corporation. You don't find that too often. Plus, the ladies at the drive-thru were just as happy as could be on that cold dreary morning. So, I'd say it was a day started with love and smiles thanks to that one creative decision and the pleasant demeanor of their staff. read more

One of the better Bojangles I've been to - and I've been to at least 35 of them, if not more. Possibly because it's so close to NC State, it stays open late, tends to be busy often, yet keeps the Bojangles quality of food. The chicken selects were hot, not greasy and tasted great. The sweet tea was damn good and the mash potatoes held their own. The pecan twist and Bo-Berry Biscuit were fresh and tasteful. If you going to the RBC Center it's a good spot that will be open after the game - and won't be serving food that's been sitting around for hours. read more

This is my 1st time at Bojangles, it was okay, the biscuit was my favorite; as for the chicken I like Popeyes better; it was spicy, yet lacked the crunch that I look for in fried chicken. The biscuit was nice & buttery, their not better than Red Lobsters Cheddar Biscuits, but they can give Popeyes a run for their money, depending on the location you go to. Would I eat here again? Well, let's just say, only if I'm really hungry and nothing else is opened! read more

I was starving for Bojangles yesterday so I went by this location and it was closed by 6:30 pm. I ended up stopping by again today, thankfully it was open. The line took a little longer than I would've liked, they were completely out of Large cups and every sauce besides BBQ. My Bo Sandwich was amazing but not as good as previous times at other locations so the quality and freshness could definitely be upgraded! Seeing as I rarely eat fast food or at chain restaurants in general, I wasn't really expecting to enjoy Bojangles as much as I did: a Cajun Chicken Biscuit (comprised of a biscuit with a piece of spicy fried chicken) with sliced fries and a large homemade sweet tea. Since I've been back, I've been craving those little flaky biscuit sandwiches and their perfectly blended sweet tea. It was the perfect way to get me in the southern mindset after my plane landed. Formerly living in the Raleigh area, now in Connecticut, I can definitely say that I miss Bojangle's. Their chicken was quite tasty and definitely had a kick, but wasn't greasy. And their seasoned fries are the best on the planet. Damn they're good. Their dirty rice is fantastic, too.... This place absolutely puts KFC to shame. Oh, and when I do go down to Raleigh, I make it a point to grab a Cajun Chicken Biscuit for breakfast at least once. The thought of a chicken filet for breakfast would probably horrify most people around here, but I can think of no better breakfast. I watch what I eat a lot more these days, but I'd be one happy camper if Bojangle's ever made its way up to the Northeast. read more

What can I say about Bojangles' except that it is Bojanglicious. First off, Bojangles' is the best name for a fast-food restaurant ever. I forget the meaning of Bojangles but that didn't stop me from using it as a noun, verb, or adjective in every other sentence for the first few hours after eating there, and when I went to Bojangles', I certainly Bojangled it up. I went to Bojangles at the perfect time of day around 10:30 AM. so I could sample some breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, I thought it would be best to start off with some fruit, and knowing that blueberries are high in healthy antioxidants, I ordered the blueberry biscuit covered with icing. The blueberry biscuit was delicious; fundamentally sound biscuit and healthy blueberries, if I had to guess, definitely organic. I almost wonder if I would have liked the biscuit even more without it being drenched in icing. Next time I would remove a little of the icing from the delicious biscuit. That aside, this is a must try. For lunch, a minute after my blueberry biscuit breakfast, I moved onto the crispy chicken and biscuit sandwich. It is a generous portion of crispy chicken. What makes this chicken sandwich standout for me is the level of crispiness of the chicken, and that it is served in a delicious biscuit rather than a standard roll is a great touch. read more

So, this is not my first time in North Carolina or Bojangles. But oh how I've come back time after time to this must-visit joint. The original chicken fillet biscuit combo (with option for one side...I suggest the Cajun french fries...), and a drink (I suggest the sweet tea, oh the sweet tea is delicious) for under $5 (prices may vary depending on location) is really a steal of a deal. The chicken is perfectly cooked, juicy and tender. The biscuit is flaky, but not messy or too greasy. You'd think you wouldn't be full, but let me assure you that the combo meal is plenty, and you'll need to spend some time walking off the consequences of such a tasty meal (worth every calorie in my opinion). I have never had a bad experience at this particular Bojangles. For starters the food is usually presented well, hot and fast. If there is a problem the staff jumps to correct it. When you get hot chicken, it is usually very hot and juicy. No other way to have hot fried chicken! Sometimes the Bo-Berry biscuits are are overcooked but a quick suggestion to the staff and it is corrected - sometimes with an extra one for having to wait. Great service overall. Also the staff is very friendly. Other fast food establishments should take note. The drive thru is very quick and during NC State sporting events there are extra people outside helping direct food orders to speed things up. This location is very much on the ball. Also full of students or groups. Oh, I forgot to mention they have the best sweet tea!! read more

I am new to North Carolina and all and so I finally tried the institution of BoJo. And I guess I just don't get it. The flavors are alright, the chicken was cooked well, not fatty, nor get stuck in my teeth like a dentist's nightmare. There was some black peppery spice in the chicken batter which helped but also seemed lost or misplaced. The biscuit lacked buttery and brown flavor and was too dry to me. The venue was alright, clean enough, even though dated. The staff was patient while we figured our order. Have we revisited? Once to see if we there on an off day. Will we revisit? Probably not. Visited Bojangles after almost 2 years, all I remembered from the past was some grease soaked coating of the fried chicken that tasted good but was an oily mess. But last night, I came back with my love for fried chicken and biscuits re-ignited. The first good sign was some nice crispy, coating with no visible oil. Expecting some kind of dry chicken, I took a bite, and instantly, and instinctively, my head jerked forward, my left hand forms a cup shape and goes just under my mouth, to catch the drippings----the chicken was *that* juicy! With a broad smile, I went through the 2 opposite layers of tasty goodness, one of crispy, non-oily, coating and the other of superb, perfectly juicy chicken meat. Oh yeah! And it didn't hurt to have some absolutely great biscuits and deeply satisfying sweet tea. We also ordered some steak biscuit that was on deal, the biscuit was almost as good as I ever tasted. The old memories stopped me from giving a 5 star, but I will really look forward to my next visits. Lets just hope they can regularly match the high bar they sat the other night. read more
