1st time here since I just moved to the area a week ago. The food was delicious! I got the tenders and Bbq platted/dinner with fries and coleslaw. The food was tasty. The issue I have with this establishment is their cleanliness or lack of. I went to use the men's bathroom and the smell of Urine hit me upon opening the door. It looked like someone peed all over the place and no one bothered checking and cleaning. That's just nasty. The other issue I have is the smell of a "sour" rag upon walking into the restaurant. It's strong and can't confuse the smell. I know restaurants have a protocol for cleaning tables, surfaces and floors. The whole place smelled like that "sour" rag and the tables that I watched being clean were sticky. If you know something about a sour rag is that the smell is from bacteria releasing that smell. No matter how good the food is, if a bathroom is nasty and or I smell that "sour" rag smell, I start to ask what else is dirty or not being properly cleaned. Not about to get sick from eating or touching surfaces. Hard pass on this place, and it's a shame because it was my 1st time here.

Average chain BBQ. Their fried chicken is good but prices a bit high. There is much better in Fuquay. 7/10

From the soft bright…read moreinviting decor, the cleanliness, comfortability with padded seats, polite and attentive staff, the front of the house manager (i'm guessing) who was keeping operations organized, the friendly and great to talk to owner Larry, and right on down to the rewarding selections of food. It should be noted that "All items can be made gluten free". This place checked off our "boxes". My first observation after being seated, was their coffee machine; it's Lavazza coffee!!!! One of the best Italian coffees you'll find; that's all my family buys. The owner Larry, stated "people say there's 2 absolute favorites that people come back for, the coffee and............the bacon". We agree that not only is the coffee an obvious winner, but the bacon.....OHHHHH THEEeee Bacon!!!! I've recently completed cancer treatments, which has caused me to struggle with food, and found that my tastebuds are quick to alert me to high salts, nitrites/nitrates, msg, basically chemicals. Well, Famous Toastery was my very first breakfast out (2nd meal) in over 7 months and not 1 time did i put the bacon down; or anything for that matter. Nice hearty, meaty, non sizzle on your tounge bacon!! Due to my condition, i didn't "eggspect" to find much on the menu that i'd be able to enjoy but, once i saw the all time classic breakfast it was game on. The "First Responder", comes with 3 scrammbled eggs with cheddar, served with bacon and sausage. You can request "egg whites" for $1. Each item under the "Eggs" list come with your choice of breakfast potatoes, grits, or fruit, and a choice of toast. Along with this, i ordered the "Famous French Toast", which is 3 slices of Texas toast ligjtly dusted with powdered sugar. Ok, you ready for the syrup!?!? Real.....Maple.....Syrup. No high fructose sludge!!! Lastly, the orange juice. Ladies & Gentlemen, Famous Toastery squeezes their OJ, fresh to order! C'mon, How can you not start to love this place already? Secondly, we ordered the Meditteranean Quesadilla, which was on the specials menu. Wow, that was a delicious choice. Scrammbled eggs, feta, pepper jack, cheddar, spinach, onions, and roasted peppers inside a grilled tortilla, with a side of salsa and sour cream. This is not a flimsy, thin quesadilla. It's also not too thick, but it was juuuuust right. If you're not in the mood for breakfast, they also have sandwiches and wraps. While talking with Larry, i mentioned seeing they have a "Reuben" on the menu. Well, Larry peaked my interest by stating "they cook their corn beef DAILY...... in house!!!!!!!! Omg yesssssssss!! Also offered as a substitue, if you're not a corn beefer, is roasted turkey! I could keep going but, you've read enough if you got this far . Now, take your hungry appetite on down to Famous Toastery, in Fuquay-Varina, and get your grub on! They are located in the same shopping center as Kohls, so no worries on parking as they have plenty!!

Famous Toastery has a lot of potential, but the overall experience can be frustrating. The food is…read moreokay--nothing particularly memorable, but decent enough if you're just looking for a casual breakfast or brunch. Where things fall short is the service. It tends to be slow, and getting your server's attention can be a challenge. Paying the bill ends up feeling like a project, with long waits just to close out. If service improved, it would make a big difference, but as it stands, the experience doesn't quite match the expectations.

Food flavours were wonderful, it's a lovely place for someone looking for elevated flavor compared to your usual tavern/barfood. I got fish and chips and he got buttermilk chicken sandwich with fries. He ate all his fries and sandwich and said it was good. Sandwich came out hot but not fries. Mine was a big disappointment. The fish was burned and the batter had no flavor at all. Even doused with lots of malt vinegar, salt and pepper, it was still barely edible ( I ate the inside). If I hadn't been so hungry I would have sent it back, but I had not eaten all day and was hangry. In the picture you can see one showing the burnt side and I turned the other one over to check the other side. There was a kale slaw type salad that was just ok. Had lots of onion in it which I don't prefer. The fries were not good at all. Limp, no flavor. I only ate two and gave up. We went to Publix and got a frozen pizza and went home and cooked it. The place is nice, clean from what I saw and our waitress was wonderful. This would be a 3.5 only because of the great service.

Nice chic decor and a nice rooftop for cooler evenings. The patio has doors that remain open so the temperature inside was unbearable for me. Someone who does not have a good relationship with heat should not dine here in the heavy hot months. It was difficult to get cool. They don't serve anything in copper cups and there are not any frozen drink offerings. I ordered the crab dip. It was okay. Probably not the best option to go for here. I tried the focaccia which was very good. The Peruvian salmon was really good on the flavor. The rice was extremely overcooked (mushy) as if it had also been sitting. The carrots were pretty good. All of the food was lukewarm. I enjoyed the Queen's Park Swizzle as a refreshing and somewhat cold with plenty of ice. I recommend Nightingale if it's convenient for you. Nightingale is decent place for craft cocktails. I would not recommend on the food alone based on my experience.

Once looking at the menu I saw that this was true you have the choice between many different types of options depending on how you're feeling about eating that day. There was a call ahead seating weightless that my friend did so while we were there we got spots at the bar and had some bread there while we waited for a table when people were at the bar everyone was very friendly and we saw a lot of people eating chili around us. A lady said that they love the chili there and it's really good. We then got called to our table and went over to our table, as soon as that happened the table behind us had a birthday party so they brought out a horse saddle thing and the girls sat on it and they sing her a song. A few minutes later they all got in a line down on the floor next to us and they all started doing a Texas Roadhouse line dance thing, it was pretty fun! Our server was very nice and attentive. He gave great spacing in between delivering the meals and follow up. I got the chicken and my friend got the steak. I got a side salad and green beans which were both good he got fries which in my opinion I felt were a little dry but they weren't mine so no problem there. To be fair I'm also not really a steak fries type of person so I'm probably not the best judge of fries like that. Overall it was a great experience and definitely seems to be a popular choice amongst people. I think it is a good option for people to go if they want a variety. Oh yeah, the bread and butter was good it's like a cinnamon butter for the little rolls. It is exactly as you would expect for it to be, it is what it is, and typical bar/restaurant experience.
