I'm super picky about wings. I travel all over the states for work. And I have to say these are some of the best wings I've ever had. The perfect crispiness, not drenched in sauce. Bright, nice decor, esp for more of a fast food type of place. You can see into the kitchen and everything looks and seems clean. It's nice they offer indoor/outdoor seating and an option for takeout. Greeted right away w a smile. The service was great - friendly and she kept checking to see if my order was ready, while also helping other customers. Line went quickly. Food was delicious! Especially the coleslaw. Tons of choices for sauces and rubs. Appreciated the fact you can specify if you want them dipped, rubbed, plain, sauce or rub on the side, etc. Waffle fries were a bit salty, but tasted good and a decent serving. The only reason I gave it 4 stars is the size of the wings/price. They were prepared well, but serving size is tiny. I think it was 12.99 for six wings - but they were literally smaller than my thumb. Not worth $2/wing, but at least they were tasty. If they were bigger, I'd definitely make it my new favorite wing place. I'll definitely be back, even if it's just for the coleslaw. Next time I think I'll try the sandwich or boneless wings, they look l lot bigger. Overall, I'd recommend it and feel like it's better than other wing centric places we've had before. read more

Been here 3-4 times. Wings are always good and dumplings are incredible. Had the crinkle fries today which were really good also. I like the blue cheese but they charge for it unless getting family meals. If you order any amount of wings then blue cheese should come with it. All in all we really enjoy the wings and dumplings. Wings, wings galore and it was fabulous! I stopped in this last weekend and grabbed two orders of wings and some chicken dumplings. Whoowhee, did they pack some flavor into these wings! The mild Buffalo is an award winning sauce and I can see why! Not to hot, but just enough of a kick to clear out those sinuses just a little! Then the garlic parmesan, I have to say I was surprised to see it as a dry rub but loved it as soon as I took a bite! It's not overpowering but still packed with flavor! And don't forget about thebperfectly crispy waffle fries. The dumplings were definitely a surprise to see on the menu and just as surprising in deliciousness. The Asian garlic sauce was amazing and the dumplings cooked perfectly. I know, dumplings at a wing place? I mean, sometimes you don't get to pick your cravings and if you're craving wings and dumplings, you're set! The staff was amazing. The owner walked around and greeted people, asking how their food was. You could see him light up everytime someone enjoyed their meal. First time visit. Dark haired girl in pink sweater was friendly and helpful in helping us decide on our order. She easily answered our questions. Also, letting us know it might be a 15 min wait due to other orders; which very nice to be told. Once food was brought to the table (nice surprise); it had a great "rustic" presentation. Not exactly hot. And cooked quickly. But hey it's NC. We enjoyed watching the game and enjoyed the environment while eating. Then a lady brought us a coupon for next visit while asking about our experience. We both praised the meal (perfect mild buffalo sauce. :)) ). Fries perfect; though also cold. Definitely coming back! We went to the NEW Wing It On by the FV Walmart and it was delicious!!!! They are doing a soft opening, so no sandwiches, but the chicken wings, nuggz, fries and coleslaw was delicious. I have visited this location more than a dozen times and I receive the same experience every time. Now, let's discuss the food! The wings are cooked to perfection and are crispy just how I like them. I have no idea what number visit this is but it was amazing as always. We just wanted a snack so we ordered their "Buffalo Chicken Dumplings". They have just the right amount of kick and are FILLED with their chicken filling. Both their chicken dumplings and their veggie dumplings are delicious. Like the concept and if two things were fixed it would be a hit with me. Sight says, never frozen wings but, 1) chicken wings that have been sitting around to long at the wrong temp, or thawed out to long, have what I describe as a slightly "tired" or "stale" taste to them. These had that taste. I searched all reviews and don't see this as a trend, so I may try them again but not likely soon. I did like the dry rub on the wings as well as the option to have it on the fries. The fries were very good and crispy. 2) places that don't do anything but take your order and hand you the food, should not have a place to tip and stair at you while you pay. "Tip shaming" is out of control in our country. Your prices are high enough as is. We should not be paying your worker's wages, that's on you as a business. When I see this, it makes me reluctant to come back. I know others feel the same. Tips are for service persons in sit down restaurants who wait on you for an extended time as part of a dining experience, not for counter help. I don't even know where to begin when talking about fast-food restaurants, only because in the past, I wound up having to post a variety of negative reviews about some of the typical fast-food joints you'd find around the Triangle. Alright - so before Wing It On even opened in Fuquay (I assumed it was open), I went inside one day, and the new employees were doing a training session. When I found out that they were in training mode, I was turning around to leave, when one of the employees stopped me, and informed me that they weren't opening for another week, but that it was my lucky day because I could order anything I wanted at no cost. I appreciably ordered a dozen wings and requested them at a particular crispy level (you get choices of crispy levels) along with a medium-bodied (heat-wise) buffalo sauce (they have tons of sauces). Having eaten that meal (at no cost to me), I knew I would return because these were some of the better wings I had eaten from among the myriad of wing restaurants (which seem to be popping up everywhere) in the Triangle. One day I was in a serious mood to get a crispy chicken sandwich, so I returned to Wing It On a few weeks after they opened. Looking at their expanded menu, I was pleased to find a selection of 8 different types of chicken sandwiches (Youzaaaaa). So I ordered the WIO Classic, which is their version of the classic fried chicken sandwich with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and pickle - making it a combo meal with fries and a drink. I chose the waffle fries. Since they make everything while you're waiting (no pre-made stuff here), it took around 10 minutes before the food arrived at my table. You place your order at the register, they take your name, and then you have a seat (if eating in). One thing to note was that the employees were extremely courteous and would go out of their way to make sure all was good with the customer (or at least they did with me that day). Once the chicken sandwich arrived, I erroneously assumed that somehow, this fried chicken sandwich was going to be like the myriad of other similar offerings from various outlets. However, from the moment I took my first bite from the Wing It On WIO Chicken sandwich, I was hooked. The chicken paddy on the sandwich was very, very crisp (and it remained that way until the last bite) and it was hot. The chicken paddy they put on the sandwich was thick (not thin like so many fast-food restaurants), but more so, the taste was superb - much better (yes, I know, tastes are subjective) than all the others I tried over the past few years at other locations. So yes, the Wing It On WIO Classic chicken sandwich is now my reference sandwich of this genre. But wait - what about the waffle-shaped shaped, fries, you might ask? Superb - similar in size to Chick Filet's version, however the Wing It On fries are crispier, and you have a half dozen seasonings you can put on them. They ask you how you want them seasoned at the register. I had the garlic-parmesan seasoning and this was one of the first times in a long, long while, where I actually finished eating all my fries - they were that tasty. So folks - this is a small place - seats Maybe, 20 or so - but this chain has all the following (at least at the Fuquay location): Superb fast-food (but they take their time making it because all is fresh). If you need it quicker, phone or use their app ahead of time. Very friendly and attentive employees. Very reasonable prices. A wide variety of food offerings on their menu - something for most folks. Suffice it say, I fell in love with this place! read more

Went on opening day for takeout and again a few months later for dine-in. The owner was there both times and helpful selecting good flavors. We have tried the classic wings with honey blues, medium buffalo, and chipotle ranch and all were tasty. We have also gotten tenders with Nashville hot sauce both times and those are definitely a favorite. We also tried the loaded street corn and sweet n smoky dumplings which had lots of flavor. Lastly, don't sleep on the fries they are really good, especially with the garlic parm seasoning. It was a little pricey but what dining option isn't these days! read more

Got a chicken sandwich combo. Chicken sandwich was outstanding. Couple dozen sauces and dry Rubs are available. I got the sweet and smoky which was awesome. The young lady taking my order was the nicest person I can recall ever working behind a counter. It was my first time there and she was very patient with me reviewing the sauce options. unfortunately there's a couple negatives. The crinkle fries were soggy and a little undercooked I felt. They wrapped them in paper I assume to keep them warm but in my experience that just causes the sogginess. And $14 for a combo is excessive. I know food prices are rising, but I can get a barbecue combo down the road for 10 bucks. I will go back for the sandwich only and may try the fingers. In Defense of the fries I didn't get any flavoring that they offer to put on them. I was there March 15, 2024 at 4:30. I want to girl behind the counter to get recognition.
