Last Friday Corner Boys BBQ was the food truck at Downtown Cary's Movie Night in the Park. The line was long, that's always a good sign. It was steaming hot and the sun was strong, but we persevered. I went with the lamb chops and the collard greens. The meat options were brisket, ribs, chicken wings and lamb chops. The sides were Mac & Cheese, potato salad, and collard greens. The food was smack your momma delicious. The lamb chops were sooo tender and tasty. There was a sweet salty taste that I can't describe. The collards had a similar sweet salty taste, but with a small kick of spice. The food was so good that I've been stalking where their food truck will be. I highly recommend. read more

As a wife of a Texas pit master, I can appreciate the art of this craft so I wanted to give my honest review. We ordered the brisket, potato salad and Mac and cheese. The brisket was way over cooked. Brown throughout, no visible smoke rings. They most likely boiled it somewhere within the cooking process. The mac and cheese was not good. The noodles were soggy and the cheese was curdled. No flavor. The potato salad was the best item. Very good. Mustard based. Typical NC potato salad which I love. We did not finish the brisket or Mac and cheese. The service was good. Everyone was very polite but the food was very mediocre. Needless to say, we will not be going back. read more

OK brisket sandwich from this food truck. Brisket seemed more like it was simmered than smoked. Was very juicy and tender, but a little too mushy. It was flavorful and lean. Cup of BBQ sauce (you have to ask for it) was tangy and delicious. Sandwich served on a potato roll. Mac n cheese was creamy, cheesy and excellent. Slaw was a vinegar based, and somewhat bland. Overall, this was an OK meal. Nothing special. Maybe ordering earlier in the day would yield a better cut of brisket? read more

This was one of five or six food trucks at a conference that I attended. To me they had the best menu so I got in their line. 1.5 hours later I finally made it to the front of the line to place my order. I was disappointed when I saw that there were only two people inside of the truck. With the large amount of people that were expected at the conference I would have expected more people to be working inside of the truck to prevent the long wait that we all experienced. I ended up ordering the chicken wings with a side of fries for $12. I was given the incorrect change after I placed my order. The correct change was provided without hesitation after I brought it to the cashiers attention. Some sauces, other condiments and utensils were out in front of the pickup window. I asked for napkins and I was given one. Since I had saucy wings I definitely needed more and I was given one additional one when I asked. My meal came with six wings and a small amount of fries. The fries were good but they were a little over cooked. When one of the employees gave me my food he asked if I wanted ranch for the wings. At first I said no then I decided to get it. He said the buffalo sauce was hot and it was. It was a little too spicy for me and I definitely needed the ranch to cool it down. I ate at this food truck while attending a census event in Raleigh and they did not disappoint. Now, I'm a Carolina girl at heart so a good BBQ sandwich with some cole slaw is ALMOST the key to my heart lol. The BBQ was tasty. There wasnt a strong vinegar taste (which I liked) and the Cole slaw was not over mayo'd. I paired that with potato salad which was not my favorite (the potato's were a bit hard in my opinion and not enough mustard) I also got some BBQ wings which were ok but nothing to brag about. After doing research for the food truck rodeo, I was really excited to check out this food truck after checking out their instagram and website. I waited in line for 15 minutes and opted for the brisket and an order of the fried okra. The food came out very quickly which was nice. But I was shocked to see that I had paid $12 for a brisket...sandwich. That's right, no fries, no side, no drink, literally brisket and two regular hamburger buns. I was expecting a brisket plate, after all that's what one of my favorite food trucks Succotash Durham does for less! At least the brisket was delicious and so was the fried okra but definitely way overpriced! And they should be more clear on their menu that brisket is a sandwich and doesn't come with anything else. read more

Incredible brisket sandwich and chicken leg. Jerk sauce only has small kick as I like it unlike buffalo wild wings which is so spicy. Mac and cheese was very good but the creamy type rather than dry baked, just an FYI. Ranch is homemade. Well worth the money spent. Excellent service and guys who know their BBQ. read more

Went to Phillips Farm in Cary and really liked the menu. Waited 20 minutes in line, ordered $12 brisket sandwich. Asked for a side of slaw. When I asked what drinks they had since the sign said drinks $2, response I received was "none". I went a couple of weeks ago and it was pretty good. Went back 2 days ago and the meat was tough and stringy. Evidently it was sliced with the grain. Took it back to show them and they were nice about it and offered another plate or my money back both of which I declined. Went back today and they gave me a replacement plate for the other day. There were 3 very thinly sliced pieces of meat which was very dry. I won't go back nor recommend to anyone. read more

Worst food truck experience ever. They were out of the Sampler. Out of Ribs. I ended up with their Brisket. I never had brisket with no smoke ring. It was tasty but dry and not memorable. The food was amazing! I had the brisket sandwich and the meat was so tender it nearly melted in my mouth. My son had the wings. These are full wings, not the measly half wings you usually are served. He raved about them as well. The service was friendly and the food was prepared to order. Having the full smoker on the trailer allows you to get freshly smoked food right away! James provided beef brisket, pork barbeque, baked mac & cheese, slaw, and green beans. Guests throughout and after dinner sought me out to find out who provided the food because it was so exceptionally good. While some people specifically mentioned the barbeque sauce being delicious, others commented that the meat was so flavorful and tender, that sauce wasn't needed. And everyone was raving about the mac and cheese! We kept hearing people say it was the best mac & cheese they ever tasted, which is my opinion exactly! Some people who raved about the mac & cheese said they usually weren't interested in mac & cheese but this version of it was fantastic. Corner Boys catered a big dinner for us last year as well and I can say their quality is consistent and you will not be disappointed! We are barbecue enthusiasts and traveled to eat at a Jame Beard award-winning barbeque joint and while it was good, Corner Boys is decidedly better on many fronts.
