Bojangles' is a North Carolina staple. Originally from NC and widespread throughout, no tailgate is complete with that red and yellow Bojangles' box. Delicious fried chicken, chicken or ham biscuits, super-sweet tea, seasoned fries, and a bo-berry or cinnamon biscuit drenched in frosting for dessert. Enough said. This is good food for cheap. It will also clog your arteries. If you are looking for FAST food, you need to go to this bojangles! They are so effiecient with ordering that I always get my food really quickly even when the line is long. I love the fried chicken at bojangles. The chicken pieces are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. They are so good and have a little kick at the end. Growing in the West and meeting folks from the South, Bojangles was a myth to me, until I finally got to try it. OMG, their fried chicken is amazing. My first experience at Bojangles was in Greenville back in 2012 and because of a very bad experience it was my last... Until today... It's hot we were out and about and neither of us wanted to cook. He wanted fried chicken and suggested Bojangles. My first instinct was no, heck no. He really wanted it so I said okay I will give them a chance to redeem themselves. I'm glad I did. The people working are so personable it was excellent customer service and they didn't even give me the regular disgusted look I always get when I asked for unsweet tea. Sugar allergy sucks... Everyone was so nice, and the manager was top notch. I am glad I have them a second chance. My husband is glad he can suggest Bojangles again without me saying no. So this review really isn't about one Bojangles in particular, but rather about all the Bojangles. And the reason I write it is more of an homage to the greatest chicken fast food joint in the country. Unfortunately most places I have traveled outside of the southeast people have never heard about this wonder place. But no matter where I go if I meet someone from the southeast and ask them the one thing they miss the most: 9 times out of 10 they say Bo-Bo's (aka Bojangles). The chicken is slightly spicy, but not to much to deter you. Picture KFC, but with actual flavor. They have sides (or fixin's) to go with your meal. I normally get the mashed potatoes with gravy (the chunky type of gravy) and cole slaw. But they have seasoned fries and many other vegetables to choose from. I have NEVER been disappointed. Then there are the biscuits you get with the meal. SO SO GOOD. It is hard to describe what a good biscuit tastes like, but this is it. Then to top it all off they have the SINGLE GREATEST TASTING SWEET TEA EVER PRODUCED. This place is magical. There theme song is even great. While good for lunch or dinner (also have a great breakfast menu) this may be the single greatest place for your tailgating needs. They have tailgating packages at most Bojangles including this one. Normally the package includes about 10 pieces of chicken, a gallon of sweet tea, and some fixins to go with it. Not to mention all the food is relatively cheap. There are minor down sides to Bojangles. One down side is that most Bojangles only take cash, so always have it on hand. Every third Bojangles seems to hire people that don't speak English or it is there second language. So confusion can occur. And the final down side is that while it is an unbelievable joy to your taste buds, your stomach really isn't to much of a fan. So it normally just passes right though. Half the time the food is only in your system for an hour before it ventures onward, but let me say this that hour is WONDERFUL. I dare to dream that one day people everywhere can talk about the joy of Bojangles. One day maybe there will be a Bojangles located right around the corner thoughout the country. In my years traveling and eating across the southeastern portion of the United States of America, I have eaten many a meal at Bojangles' fine fast food establishments. I know what you're thinking: "Fast food is fast food; Bojangles is Bojangles." But this Bojangles is no ordinary Bojangles. The service is fast and accurate and the food never disappoints. Western Boulevard restaurants can be ridiculously busy during peak meal hours, but Western Bojangles does not care. Employees working the drive-thru form an assembly line that operates with an efficiency that would likely make Henry Ford green with envy. It truly is a pleasure just to watch. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor post-NC State football game defeats stays these capable managers and employees from completing their swift transactions with customers. There is no time like BoTime! This is one of my favorite Bojangle's locations because they really know how to work a drive-thru. You can go here on a busy Sunday morning when it is packed with a drive-thru line around the building and it only takes minutes. A man is usually outside taking orders, he calls it in, someone else runs to your car to get your payment, then runs your card back, then as soon as you get to the window your food is there and ready to go! I have been here 5-6 times in the past year and they have not given me the correct order yet. For example, for breakfast I received pinto beans instead of grits the other month. While Bojangles is in the end only fast food, it's tastier fast food than most of what's out there. While it still is very industrial, it doesn't feel as industrial as most other fast food restaurants. The people working at Bojangles are by and large friendlier and the food is consistent, with the exception of the Cheddar Bo, which can variably be wildly disappointing or startlingly delicious. Bojangles isn't a place I would or would want to eat all the time, but when you're hungry and need food quickly, this place is what you need. I'll always remember swinging by this Bojangles before early morning final exams to get some food in me before the exams started. read more

Hopefully you know what to expect at Bo's. Regardless of location, they have the best workers of any "fast food joint". I patronize the store on 401 just south of the belt line, the one on Jones Sausage at 40, the one on Miami and 70, the one at Miami and 54 as well as the one on 70 near Umstead. Always consistently good food. If you like the style they serve which is homemade fried chicken and biscuits with the best fries around, you won't be disappointed. We always have food for our meetings and contractors bring as a peace offering. The only improvement I could ever offer is dark brown biscuits as a standard. But I am picky. Food is great like always but service sucks. Instance 1: Went through the drive through and was asked at the window whether I wanted sweet or unsweetened tea. I asked for unsweetened. Guess what I got? That's right, sweet tea. How did they forget within a minute? Instance 2: I went inside to order a chicken biscuit with cheese to go right after (since I forgot to when I went through the drive thru). Not only did the worker had my food on a tray, but they also forgot cheese. Simple order that was messed up again. They need to hire more competent workers. read more

I typically really love this bojangles but normally visit it in the mornings or afternoons. The service is friendly and the staff is well organized and efficient. But do NOT go at night. I don't know what the deal is but WOW just waited in the drive thru for over 20 minutes (there were 4 other cars in line) and when I got to the window the employee didn't even acknowledge how slow they were or try to apologize, and then was sassy when we tried to be friendly and when we asked if our additional side was in the box. IN ADDITION to this the fries were cold, the chicken pieces were like the size of a chicken nugget, AND when we asked for extra seasoning, he put like a ridiculous amount on. Like you would literally cough on all the seasoning. I'm just generally very displeased with the service tonight and most importantly the employee who just served us and his negative and inconsiderate attitude. read more

This is hands down, the best Bojangles I have been to. I have been to plenty of Bojangles before but not one stands ahead of this location. I walked inside and ordered my food, there was a smiling face taking my order and that is always welcoming! Once I received my food, (it was ready by the time I was done paying), I sat down and started to enjoy one of the best meals I have had. The chicken supremes were perfectly hot, the buttered biscuit practically melted in my mouth, the fries were perfectly seasoned, and my Sweet Iced Tea was brewed to perfection! I did not ask for a large drink but I was pleased (and surprised) that a Large Tea waiting for me on the other end! Once I was leaving an employee offered to take my trash for me and told me to visit again soon, I felt like I was dining in a high class restaurant. I will definitely be back soon! read more

There are few things that I miss about living in Raleigh, well okay there is exactly one thing about living in Raleigh that I miss, and that's Bojangles. This particular location hasn't changed a bit in years, but it was the one I frequented most. Every time I am back in NC now to see my wife's family I make a point of visiting every Bojangles I possibly can to literally feed my obsession. I basically swear by the 4 piece supreme meal, and factor in the fries, the free sweet tea, and as much spice as one can sprinkle on and you're in for an instant bonanza of msg-laden southern goodness. Not only is it delicious, but it also contains special magic that can actually make you happier. It may not be permanent, but it will at least last until you start feeling hungry again.
