Three words to sum it up... Tender, moist, and delicious! If you think you had some chicken tenders from your favorite fastfood joint. Wait till you tryed these tenders in Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers. You would wish it was just around the corner from your house but unfortunately, this is the only location here in beautiful and historical downtown Chapel Hill. I've tried ones in Texas and these folks are as good or better. Thanks crews, y'all made my day complete. Highly recommend. Just get them chicken fries some other day from another chain restaurant.

By far my favorite Raising Cane's I've been to! The UNC-themed decor is awesome and adds a fun vibe to the place. Every time I've been, the restaurant has been spotless, and the staff is always super friendly, making the experience even better. Of course, the food is consistently on point--crispy chicken, perfectly seasoned fries, the classic Cane's sauce, buttery toast, and refreshing lemonade. It's always exactly what I'm craving. Can't recommend this location enough!

Service was great and the staff was polite! The store itself was clean and staff was mobilized cleaning consistently! The food was reasonably priced and the kids meal was too much for me to finish. For those old enough to remember it reminds me of Roy Rogers from back in the day. Not as good as the hype fine.

Amazing! What is the recipe. It can't be healthy as crazy delicious as it is. Unreal. I will definitely be stopping in to any of these places when traveling.

This is my second time eating Raising Cane's and it didn't disappoint. Popular spot for UNC students as it's walking distance from campus. Food came out in less than 10 minutes. For some reason the chicken seemed less crispy than last time but it was still yummy nonetheless. The fries I could probably pass on but the Texas toast always is a 10/10. Feel kind of guilty I didn't choose to eat at a local mom and pop shop but the closest Cane's to me is Times Square and I don't go there unless I'm seeing a Broadway show.

Place is very busy! I went at 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday and it took about 30 minutes to place an order and then get the food. People were ok - busy. No substitute items, chicken fingers were good as well as the sauce. You can order ahead but it was still behind.

Yay! Finally got a chance to try Raising Cane's! It's a cause for celebration! Totally did not disappoint. I placed my order through the app for pickup, which is definitely the way to go. Parking on Franklin is infamously horrific, but there were surprisingly a few open spots right out front of the store. My order was ready upon arrival and the staff were friendly. There wasn't much of a line (I went around 4), just a few customers waiting for their orders. Inside is beautiful! The upstairs is really cool. I ordered the tenders combo which comes with chicken tenders, toast, slaw, and French fries (plus Cane's sauce). The tenders were super juicy and tender with a nice crisp exterior. The toast and slaw were also good, nothing extravagant but good. The fries were fine, definitely could use some seasoning but they weren't bad. This is my first time trying Cane's ever so I can't help but compare to Zaxby's. The chicken FAR surpasses Zaxby's. There isn't even a competition. Same for the sauce, while similar, I much prefer Cane's as it's a little sweeter. I see why people buy it by the cup' I'm torn on the toast, and prefer Zaxby's fries. I highly recommend checking out Cane's, if nothing else for the chicken and sauce! Ordering on the app is the way to go, especially during peak times.

The chicken is good maybe a bit bland but crispy and juicy. The sauce was good(and needed for the chicken) although reminiscent of a toned down Zaxby's sauce. The fries are kind of okay, like school fries. The coleslaw was like kfc. The Texas toast is probably the best thing on their super limited menu. The service was good. I bypassed the line by ordering on their app which worked well. But my order was correct and the people were friendly. The restaurant was clean and had a cool UNC theme to it. I didn't go up stairs to check out the seating but it seems like they did the most with the space they have. I wish the menu had some more options. It's chicken strips with or without fries and bread with the option of one sauce. I guess you can get the strips put in a sandwich if you'd like. In a world with Zaxby's, Bojangles, Popeyes, and others I can't see myself going out of the way or waiting in a big line for this but I'd eat it again if it was around. It was worth the trip to Chapel Hill once to see what the fuss about.

Check out Raising Cane's in Chapel Hill! The restaurant is surrounded by cute local shops and the Morehead Planetarium. So you can grab a bite and then explore a little. The restaurant is newer so it was pretty busy when we went in but it didn't take too long to order and get our food. The building is two story so they upstairs is the seating and downstairs to order. The staff were nice and the food was fresh, hot and delicious!

The staff were amazing and the food was so good I would recommend the box combo you should definitely come! The UNC theme is amazing I support.

Raising Cane's is great! I'm so happy they opened in Chapel Hill. You order at the counter downstairs and pick up your food before finding a table for yourself. There is plenty of upstairs seating and an elevator option for accommodations. The chicken is freshly fried, the crinkle cut fries are the best, and the side of toast is delish & buttery! This is a perfect meal when I am craving chicken!!

    Caniac combo
    Davia N.

Came for the chicken. Wouldn't go back for it. The cane's sauce is excellent. That's a reason to go back. It makes the unseasoned chicken bearable. I ordered the caniac combo. It comes with 6 tenders, fries, slaw, toast, and a drink. Everything was hot when delivered. Smooth delivery service. The tenders were a decent size but were not seasoned well. There was also no seasoning on the fries. They may have had a little salt. The slaw was not edible. The first bite tasted spoiled and I wouldn't risk it. The tea is what I expect from fast food places - puckeringly sweet. No complaints about that. The fries in the sauce were the best part of the meal.

I've been here multiple times since they opened a few months ago, and I have to say that this is the best fast food spot in the Chapel Hill area, especially for breakfast. The dining area looks somewhat smaller than most Chick Fil-As I've been to - not in terms of space but the amount of seats. Regardless, I was able to easily find a seat in my latest visit for breakfast. There's pop music from the radio playing in just the right volume, so the atmosphere doesn't feel dead. Place looks clean overall and temperature is just right despite the cold weather outside. Chick fil-A's app is one of the best for ordering in any method. I never have to go to the front counter when dining in but I noticed a tiny flaw when going ordering via Mobile drive thru: it seems they don't prepare the order until you get to the drive thru area - which could be a good and bad thing. Good because it ensures freshness but in a couple of experiences, it was bad because I had to wait a few more minutes despite ordering via the app ahead of time even though there weren't a lot of customers. In the latest visit, I dined in for breakfast and ordered a spicy biscuit combo with those little "hashbrowns" and half sweet tea/half unsweetened. My latest discovery is that I could just order the protein such as a spicy fillet for the first time. Also got the honey and the other type of honey sauce for the sandwich. I also added egg and American cheese on my sandwich for additional price, and my total was around $10.50 - overall great value for fastfood breakfast. I sometimes order parfait with granala instead of hash but that costs around $3 more. Spicy chicken fillet sandwich was satisfying, breaded and spiced just right. The signature Chick Fil-A sauce is good but I wish they also have something similar to Cane's or Zaxby's spiced orange sauce. Being able to customize order in the app is easy and it's nice to get points for rewards (free items). Chick Fil-A's reputation for having amazing customer service is carried on in this location, and this is one of the major reasons I decide to go to this fast food over others. An employee often comes and ask if I need anything like a refill and they sometimes help take my trash away when I'm done. Despite a few flaws like forgetting a drink order or leaving 1 of the tables not completely clean at 1 time, Chick Fil-A's customer service is excellent in this particular location. I'll definitely return here again (more for breakfast). Not saying lunch/dinner menu is bad - love the salad and the typical chicken sandwiches and breaded tenders but since they took out the pimento sandwiches, it gave me 1 less reason (major to me) to grab lunch or dinner. They need to spice it up, introduce something new worth trying. Nonetheless, I enjoy Chick Fil-A overall and I'm glad this Chapel Hill locatiok now exists. It's close to the Planet Fitness too, so customers can go there if they want to burn those poultry calories!

She told me there was a great fried chicken place near by and we ended up at Time-Out. Once we got to the place it was packed. The line was a little scary to look at, but we got to the front very quickly which was very impressive as I only saw 2 workers taking care of the register and putting the orders together. I ended up ordering Combo #2 which is chicken thighs and a side. I ordered mac and cheese as my side. Luckily we were able to find an open booth in the packed restaurant. When it came time to eat, I would say that the portion of the side was pretty generous. The mac and cheese was also really good and was up to my standards. The chicken was nice and crispy, and was very delicious as well. At one point it did feel like it was a little too salty, but I was able to look past that. I asked for some hot sauce on the side and it kicked it up a little and made it even better. For my first time here, I would say that I was very impressed not only with the food but also with the service. This place is open 24/7 which is a huge plus! Upon entering, the atmosphere was clean and bright. In addition to their dining room area, they also have a delightful small market of house-made baked goodies and other items for sale. I ordered their daily specials, which today was a Chicken Salad Wrap with either potato salad or fruit cup. I opted for the fruit cup. I didn't have to wait long for my food. I took a bite of the wrap and that's where my culinary experience kinda plateaued.... the chicken salad was completely lacking in flavor. I'm picky about my chicken salad and this was far from great. To be honest, it tasted store bought, though I'm sure it was made in-house. I say that because I found a lovely piece of cartilage in the chicken salad. As for the fruit, it was pretty basic, cubed watermelon with most of the seeds gone and blueberries. I get this isn't fine dining but guys come on...let's put a lil more effort into our dishes, shall we? At least add some salt and pepper, perhaps come celery and a little onion to that chicken salad. And oh, make sure all the bones are removed. As for the fruit, get seedless watermelon for crying out loud, and it's summer, so use other summer fruit and punch up that fruit cup. I was charged $14 for this plate of food. That means it cost about $4.60 to make each plate. Bit over priced for bland chicken salad and boring fruit. $11 or $12 would have been better. Their bathroom could also use some attention as well. Bottom line, might be back, might not. The star of the show in my opinion were the hush puppies and the corn and wild mushroom risotto. There were sooo many different flavors that perfectly complemented each other. I was blown away. And the pig cheek on top was incredible. 500/10. Our server made great recommendations! Then-- chaos and heartbreak ensued in the form of a fire alarm. We were forced to evacuate the restaurant as the fire department arrived , leaving about half our meal on the table. After 30 or so minutes of waiting out in the cold (we were apparently the only guests who hadn't paid out yet) our server came to find us. He asked us if we wanted to just give him our credit card information and he would ring us up later, when the fire department gave them the ok, as he understood not wanting to wait around. It broke our heart to leave our leftovers, but we agreed and went to go get the car. Thankfully we are stubborn.. and optimistic to a fault. And by the third time we circled around the block, the fire truck was pulling away. I ran in and asked if there was any chance our food hadn't been thrown away yet, and it hadn't! The staff was happy we had been able to come back, and they packed everything up for us, even taking the hush puppies off the bill and sneaking in a complimentary piece of key lime pie. I'm so glad we were able to tip our server appropriately for his great service-- and rescue our leftovers. Happy ending. All was well. I opted for the blackened salmon, and my friend got the watermelon salad and tomato plate to share. The wait for food wasn't that long, but once they arrived, they were beautiful. Vibrant, full of color, plates of food that I was dying to dig into. The salmon was a pretty small piece (I was expecting a larger portion) and was on top of black beans and cheese grits. The salmon had a green sauce on top which complemented each aspect of the dish very well. I loved eating a bite of everything together. The tomato plate special was also good, but nothing sensational. It's literally just tomatoes with oil on them, but I guess they tasted fresh. I probably wouldn't come back, but this was a good meal nonetheless.
