I stopped by Wings over Chapel Hill, as my boyfriend said, they have some of the best wing in the area. I ordered for pick up and I ordered the lemon pepper and Carolina bbq wings. Arrive and the place is busy and I was help pretty quickly. The customer service was good for a pick up order. The restaurant is clean and decent size place for dining. The wings, OMG were not only delicious, they are huge, juicy and flavorful. My favorite was the Carolina BBQ hands down! Next time I am in NC I will for sure be back to try the other flavors they have to offer. read more

Food is actually getting worst and service and delivery as well, when they recently updated and changed the store at first it was great my food was amazing and service was as well, now in the past month that I've had them again there is always food missing there is no communication or anything if your order through their app and always late. I've noticed my food has come smelling like weed and bag opened up with drinks tossed in there making my food cold and soggy and my drinks warm. I called and was told that the driver must have opened it but that they couldn't do anything. Ambience at the store doesn't feel any better doesn't matter how bright and new you make it if you don't have good customer service workers then you're still shit. It's a hit or miss now that's just my experience I hate it but I now just order Buffalo Wild Wings instead or choose anything else to eat they have let me down and invested in my opinion on the wrong things I missed last year they had a guy and girl that had great customer service and I enjoyed going in to pick up my food and they actually gave a crap and would let my concerns be known to the cooks. read more

Food taste good. Service was good. Overall everything was good and the workers were very nice.

It had been years since I ate wings over, I recently tried it and omg they have improved so much!! The wings, fries are so good! And the toasted bun is so soft and buttery and delicious! read more

First time trying this franchise, and I was impressed. The wings were perfectly cooked and crispy, and the level 2 hot wings were the perfect heat level for me. The dry rub was my favorite, and the price was reasonable for the quality. I also appreciate that they're open late until 1 a.m. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE service, there's no management skills! Very ill communication too. I placed an order online, money taken receipt to confirm! THIER system didn't register so the preparation of my food was refused, even after providing the store with all the In-depth details of where and how I ordered. allowing them to access a receipt and all. As a woman expecting a baby with one at home already, there's no time or money or energy to waste. They wasted time, money, energy because guess what, an hour after my order placed their going back and forth about what to do to resovle the issue, telling me they'll make it then saying they wont. It's a meal for two 12 pieces of chicken all together how hard could that truly be?? I've never left a food review but THIS was absolutely despicable, most places take accountability when THEIR system messes up. read more

Ordered 3 tender plate to go. Was just as it should be and the serving. sizes are great for the price (especially the sauces are huge).

This place is going down hill, placed an order and when picked up we had horrible customer service with the man there tonight he is cursing and scratching his balls and ass and grabbing bags of food and drinks, he is cursing and rude as hell and ask for big tips like his joking around, he really isn't. The bag of our food was horribly organized I had to ask if our drinks were in there and he responded rudely "what drinks there isn't any fucking drinks" then he double looks and realizes his mistake when he gives me the drinks it's the wrong ones I told him and he ignores us and sits his ass down like his doing so much work. We proceed to leave because we aren't dealing with this, idk if there was a manager there but if there is idk where they were, when we get home we notice our food is cold and crap! The order was picked up 10 minutes from ordering and the tenders were cold and dry as hell. It looks like their is a sauce drought or something because they barely put any on our food and it looks like our food was leftovers from another order. We both asked for meals and tator tots they put both our tots orders in one small container which they have never done before. I'd the owners read this please do something about that worker he isn't worth it and for your prices they make you look bad and ruin it it's cheaper to go to Buffalo Wild Wings and get a meal for two and have better service. And it seems you only have a good cook who takes pride in his food and knows how to do it right. It feels they put to much work to making the inside look nice but forgot about the important stuff like the food and customer service.... read more

Excellent food, even better service! My wrap was fresh and flavorful indeed. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

It had been a year since I last ordered from this place, as a diabetic having a local food place open late is great even if it is a little pricey. I called in my order and the person behind the phone was incredibly rude and hostile. I actually heard him call me an a-hole...because I needed a second to get my credit card. I didn't have to give my number in the past. He was mad that I called the wings bone-in and the garlic wings, garlic buffalo. I can understand if I was being difficult and he was having a bad day. I drove to the restaurant because I wanted to get a picture of the guy and not have an innocent worker be blamed for his actions and he busted out the homophobic slur. Frankly I don't think its safe to go to this place, you don't know what they will do to your food or your credit card information. read more

Today I tried my luck again with wings, I thought that it was gonna be another bad experience. The last guy, I dont think he really cared about serving delicious food or running a clean establishment. As soon as I walked In the door I was greeted, the smile and kind voice came from a man name Mitch. He was so open, kind and polite that it made me feel bad about my prior thoughts before I walked in. The building was so clean and inviting, that it made me want to order without a second thought. Mitch shared with my sister and I a new item, brought us into conversation and made the whole experience worth every dime. I truly appreciate you sharing your love with our college town and hope that you stay for years to come. A happy customer read more

Ready on time, tenders were huge and juicy. Sauce flavors were great! Easy ordering and pick up process.

By far the best wings in Chapel Hill! I always get food here for dinner or as a late night snack. Check out as there's sometimes free delivery. I get the boneless teriyaki flavored and the honey bbq flavor. The fries are a must-- garlic parm if you're into that! The chicken and fries are super crispy. There's a bunch of flavors for everyone! 3 orders in a row have been wrong, missing items... management attempted to pacify me by offering a $10 off coupon for my next order (pick up only) but this is ridiculous... I really can't imagine that a simple order of wings and fries can be screwed up so many times in a row. Skip this joke of an establishment read more

This place actually sucks. I came in when there only 2 people in line. I waited for fucking 2 hours. There were 3 cockroaches that came out in that span. Multiple people came in after and I did not hear the end of how pissed they were. The food came out and was fucking terrible. Actually never come to this place. I don't care what time of the day it is. Don't fucking come! read more

First time eating at Wings Over Chapel Hill. My husband and I shared an 8-piece chicken tenders meal and I added some of their tots to try. Overall the meal was good. The prices were a bit higher than I would have liked but it was late and I was happy to not cook. My husband liked his waffle fries and my tots were average (I didn't really taste much difference from plain flavored tots). No complaints about the food, just a bit pricey for what we received. read more

With all of the options out there, there just wasn't much value here. The wings are the fried variety, with a dizzying selection of sauces. $41 (including tax) for 20 wings and a large waffle fries -- $1.75 per wing after taxes, with a 2 oz. cup of ranch per 10 wings. The $5 large waffle fries were a bit larger than a Chick-Fil-A order which, again, doesn't seem like much value. The wings are fine. Just fine. I feel like you're better off ordering from Brenz, where the wings are baked, huge, and high quality -- and you get 25 for $24 after taxes at $0.96 a wing with two 4 oz. cups of ranch. read more

One of these stars is because they delivery free, the other is for... I don't even know. I've gotten wings from here because it's the only place nearby for wings. I went in with my mom to order take out and we were over charged $20, then we ended up waiting almost 40 mins for some wings. We asked to make sure that they included my boyfriends set of boneless and then they didn't so we had to wait even longer. Finally we left and got home. We were MISSING 10 wings. We called back at this point really pissed off and asked if they could deliver the 10 wings since they do free delivery anyway. They said they couldn't. So they ended up giving us credit. How frustrating. The wings aren't even that good for all that trouble and the boneless chicken strips are dry, and flavorless unless they do what they normally do and pour a TON of the mediocre garlic dry rub on them. Overpriced and they charge by pound?? Weird. Overall it's not very good, I miss Buffalo Wild Wings. read more

I placed an order on Saturday night at 11pm for pickup. I arrived 15mins later to see the entire staff outside having a party. They were smoking, eating wings on the back of parked cars that had music blasting and just relaxing have a grand ol time. I walked in to absolutely no one inside the establishment. One lady flicks her cigarette and blows the smoke out the door before saying that my order will be ready in 5mins. She then goes back outside to call the cook in from the party outside. He walks straight in and starts cooking. DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS AT ALL. I was disgusted. I went to ask the front desk lady for my money back and she gave me the "1 minute finger" so she could go back outside to finish her partying with randoms. When she finally came back in I asked for my money back and she told me that I was being weird. I explained that I seen that none of them washed their hands and she was super rude about giving me my money back. Her name was Candace and the other guys name was Thad. There's been talks of tearing this section of Carrboro down and replacing with retail/apartment space and I completely agree. This restaurant is a drug den that needs to be dealt with. I suggest Carrboro PD sit in the parking lot one night to see how much of a difference the drug use outside in the open would make and hopefully change. The workers look like they belong on the Walking Dead. Please do better. read more

Read reviews before I ordered and have to agree with them. I placed the order via Grubhub for the first time at 8:09 and got a text saying it would take about 30 minutes. Not more than 10 minutes later, the driver called to say they were outside. I was shocked. The driver said he was only a mile away and everything was still hot. The wings and fries were soooo good. Nice portion of fries too. I'll definitely order from them again. read more

I ordered through DoorDash and due to a glitch my order was made, but not picked up. I opted to WALK to the restaurant and, upon arriving, requested that my order be remade. It was not my fault that the order had sat and would continue to do so. I was told that it was "just the manager back there and he says it's DD's problem. We can't remake your order" that I could repurchase, but no attention would be given my grievance. "So my options are dead/cold food or none and that you CAN remake my order, but WON'T" "That is correct " - Horrible management and adequate but inconsiderate customer service. read more

Good wings -- I've tried just about every sauce and while I like some better than others, I've never gone wrong overall. I've also tried the boneless wings (essentially chicken planks), salads, and even the ribs -- all very good. I've ordered from Wings Over dozens of times and delivery is usually prompt, although on a couple of occasions it pushed up against an hour. I like how you can monitor the progress of your order once it's been placed online. There have been a couple of times where my order was wrong or incomplete, but if you call them they will credit your account for next time. When I first moved to the area, they sold their wings by piece but about a year ago switched to by weight. It reduced portions (and prices) noticeably but the quality remained the same, so no worries. Wings Over has more than just wings are they are fast, tasty, and convenient -- highly recommended. read more

Kind of a hit or miss place.. one day (yesterday) the boneless wings are over-cooked, most days not... bone in wings are better and very meaty... sauces are what you should expect for wings... one time I got the ribs there and I was over the moon - since then, not so much... over-cooked or under-cooked. Sigh. I still give them a try now and then but... meeh. On the funny side, when I stopped by yesterday the counter server (who was very polite and competent) was eating from a McDonalds bag... even weirder, when he pulled out the interior package, he was eating McNuggets! I don't think there is any comparison ... McNuggets?? Amazing! The prices at Wings Over are a little high so... maybe he can't afford to patronize the place where he worked but - while he is taking orders? Wow. read more

My pick for late night delivery, decent price good wings but I'm not a big fan of the fries or sandwich

They upped the prices and the food quality went to hell. You can find better forcthe prices you pay now

I love wings over chapel hill. I get them all the time. But they taste the best only after 11pm as a midnight snack or meal or binge - whatever you want to call it. Finger lickin good! I love the normal wings as well as the garlic parm. One time we got 150 wings and it was gross to see the bones all stacked up. But that's how good they are. read more

I very recently wrote a review on how I think that Sup Dogs should get the "Most Clutch Restaurant" award on Franklin Street. Well, if that's for dining in, then here's my vote for delivery. A sufficient portion of Wings Over (which I think is at least 10 wings, or a pound of boneless) will cost almost as much as two Medium 2-topping pizzas from Domino's. And that gets pretty close to the Papa John's deal too, which is 2 Large pizzas. Purely based on volume, there are more optimal choices. However, there will be moments when you're too lazy to cook AND tired of pizza. And there will be moments when all the pizza places are backed up with orders. For moments like these, there's Wings Over. This place is the only dedicated wing delivery service in the Chapel Hill area. And you might be saying, "But Domino's has wings, I can just get them there." But here are a few reasons why Wings Over is the better move: 1) The pizza place wings, although cheaper, are smaller. Especially boneless. 2) You get so many more flavor and spice options at Wings Over. 3) Sure, you COULD order wings at a pizza place. My dad makes a damn good steak, but he's owned a Chinese restaurant for 25 years. You're ordering Chinese food from him. ... So yeah, I would highly suggest that if you're feeling chicken wings, this is the place to order from. They have a lot more variety to choose from, and the chicken is decent-sized and pretty good. Every order also comes with your choice of blue cheese or ranch dipping sauce, and celery. I've also never had an issue with their delivery. Don't get me wrong -- pizza's delicious. But when pizza just doesn't cut it, just know that there's always Wings Over to fall back on. Hell, it's good enough to even be your first option, if that's what you like. read more

Oh my god where do I even start.. If there is one thing I miss from chapel hill is this place. I tried both their wings and their sandwiches and they were both amazing. The chicken was juicy, the sauces were just the right amount of spicy, and some even get me started about their waffle fries. I remember they had different flavors and if you asked me to name my favorite I could not. It was, though, more of a takeout and delivery place, it surprised me after a couple of times ordering from them when I found them here on yelp, I was biking to franklin and I saw it, it's small, cozy. One of my other favorite things about this place(actually this is probably the best part) is that they're open until outrageous times in the night. Need a 2am snack? Give them a call, and enjoy their buffalo chicken sandwich and signature waffle fries! read more

Most of my narratives will begin this way...but, here goes: It was 11:40 p.m and my boyfriend and I were starving. We didn't really want pizza, and other local options were closing at this time. Through some serendipitous twist, we remembered Wings Over Chapel Hill stays open pretty late and delivers. I ordered our wings and fries through their website and expected to receive a call that they were closing or weren't delivering for the rest of the night (this has happened to us before with other restaurants). 15 minutes later, the delivery guy was at our door. Wings.Over.never.disappoints. About the wings: The wings and waffle fries were well-seasoned, hot, and absolutely delish. I have no complaints. I love my wings crispy and drenched in sauce, and Wings Over does this well. I'm sure you've heard about the size of the wings, and this holds true. A lot of food for a great price. The speedy delivery (at that time of night) was the icing on the cake. P.S.--my favorite sauces are Texas Mesquite, Honey BBQ, Kickin' BBQ, and Cruisin' Altitude, if you're looking for suggestions to try. Very flavorful--they have options for lovers of tangy, sweet, and spicy wings alike. read more

I'm from upstate New York where Buffalo wings originated and find it damn near impossible to find good wings below the Mason Dixon line. Thus I'm a bit hard to impress. I've never eaten in and have only ever had delivery from here. The fact that they have free delivery is a plus when it comes to ordering for me. My wings have always arrived warm but not hot so they normally need to be popped in the microwave for a bit to get them an edible temperature. As for the wings I recommend the boneless wings. I've had the bone-in wings before and found them bloated, soggy, and fatty. They're not crispy and instead are a disgusting mess. The boneless wings are quite large and have a good crunchy coating that soaks sauce quite nicely. I've had the Garlic Parmesan (pretty good, less sauce more extra coating), Teriyaki (yummy glaze like sauce), Cruising Altitude (like a standard medium hot sauce based sauce), and Afterburner (too hot and thick like eating pulverized red pepper flakes essentially). My favorites being Teriyaki and Cruising Altitude with the latter being what I usually order when I eat there. I advise you to splurge the extra $1 myself for extra sauce because despite their assurances I find that the amount of sauce they use is not sufficient to get nice sloppy well covered wings. Also while I'm complaining about Wings Over's sauce policy I hate the complicated Buffalo Style sauce's names. I almost always have to look at a paper menu* to keep them straight as to strength. I once got fries as well as part of a meal deal. I ordered sweet potato fries online but got a call saying that they don't offer them anymore, so keep that in mind when ordering. Instead I had them replaced with Waffle Fries for the same price. When asked if I wanted them flavored I was confused but decided on Cajun. Big mistake to get them flavored. Instead of being dusted with the flavoring they were downright coated with way too much. It was like a Barbeque potato chip that's how coated it was. Off putting. Probably would have enjoyed the waffle fries plain though. *Speaking of the paper menus, the wallpapering of the entire town with them is superfluous and wasteful. Slipping them under every door of the dorms and several apartment complexes is just too much. read more

5 Citrus Chipotle wings (non-spicy) + 5 Red Alert wings (equivalent of Medium) + Celery & Blue Cheese + Sweet Potato Fries & Honey Mustard dip + can of Diet Coke = $12 pre-tip * Wings: Super tasty with just the right amount of crisp to them. A little too saucy on the Citrus Chipotle but whatever, I'd choose that any day over too little sauce. Also, these wings are slightly larger/meatier than usual as I can usually eat 8-10, but only made it to 7.35 on these. * Sweet Potato Fries: Limp (which I happen to like), probably from steaming itself in the box, but not greasy. The portion is HUUUGE. * Open until 1am Sun-Wed, 2:30am on Thurs, and 3am on Fri & Sat * Only 25 min for a 3.5mi delivery on a Friday night?! (I'm saying that in a good way.) read more
