I get all flats. Darker is spicy bbq and the lighter is hot.

My dad and I have been coming here for 5-6 years now. He goes once a week without me. I absolutely love this place. I personally love the wings but their burgers and chicken tenders are also delicious. I get the "hot" sauce on half my wings and then the "spicy bbq" on the other half. Wingman never fails to put a smile on my face, what can I say, good food makes me happy. If you want some good ass wings, go to wingman.

Ordered wings via Tarheel Takeout. They came with NO sauce, they came nearly flavorless; possibly the worst wings EVER. Never again.

I typically get either the Spicy BBQ or the Honey BBQ -- can't go wrong with those!

We were greeted upon entry and stood there looking in awe of their large and diverse beer selection. The bartender was knowledgeable and helpful when I (as always) asked a lot of questions about the beer. My husband chose an IPA and I chose a flight. We went outside to grab a table since we were meeting friends and there was very little seating inside it was nice out AND I think there was a birthday party going on.) None of us had eaten yet so we all decided to order different things and share. The brats, pretzels, and sidewinders were pretty good. The photos looked great and they came out tasting decent. The wings were excellent but the flatbread was awful. It was like tomato paste on a cracker. Our server was very attentive and even helped us move our stuff inside when it started to rain. My husband decided to have a couple more IPAs while we sat and talked. My friend and I got up to look at the merchandise and the open stock for sale. I liked the vibe so much that I bought a koozie featuring The Casual Pint. I was also thrilled to find a Salty Turtle beer that I very much enjoy but usually only get at the beach. At this point I would have rated it a 4 but then we got our bill. Even though neither one of us paid any attention to the prices on the beer, it was a little surprising that my husband's IPAs were $10 each. And my flight was $17 (4, 4oz pours). Add the 4 pack and food, our total was over $110 before tip. We should have paid more attention but since my husband felt that it was all highly overpriced AND he had ordered the flatbread that was unappetizing, he doesn't want to return. I wouldn't mind coming back though!

Plus that it's under $20 and takes less than 10 minutes. Will definitely be back next time I have a craving for Kung pao!

Kung Pao chicken without cashews is a joke!…read more Went here for a quick lunch because it seems to be the only acceptable (and fast) place to eat in Carrboro Plaza. NC people would know that there's always a Chinese fast food place like this close to a Food Lion, and this is one of the many, so my expectations were not big. I ordered the Combination meal with Kung Pao Chicken, pork fried rice, and egg roll. Also ordered a small hot & sour soup & a bottle of diet Coke. Young lady cashier was friendly and took order without issue. I usually order take out when it comes to Wok spots like this but decided to dine in. Order was served within 10 minutes - another employee brought my soup with the flour crackers that go with the soup. As you can see in the photo, the size of Kung Pao meal is fine for a $12+ meal. The mixture of vegetables (broccoli, carrots, snow peas, and green bell peppers) bury some of the chicken pieces underneath, giving me an impression that chicken meat was not enough. As I ate, I discovered that there's a fair amount of thin sliced chicken breasts. Most of the chicken pieces (maybe 5 or 6) were sliced thin but wide - I wanted to slice it to make it fit the spoon with the pork fried rice, which was finely cooked. Somewhat surprisingly, the chicken tasted tofu-like rather than what you'd expect from a well-cooked white meat chicken. I set the few snow peas aside - they don't go well with the entire meal. I realized something seemed to be missing. Any Kung Pao chicken lover would know that the perfect Kung Pao chicken always have cashews (or roasted peanuts) but China Wok's version was missing this essential ingredient that gives that extra crunch to the meal. The space inside is about average compared to other Chinese Wok spots in NC. There's a good amount of parking space shared between various businesses there. There's a standard soda machine and sweet tea but got a Diet Coke bottle instead. The hot & sour soup was the same as what you'd expect from a typical Chinese restaurant. Amount was good for a small size. The eggroll was quite bland: Although there were bits of pork inside, the chewy, flavorless texture made me ask, "What in the world am I eating?" Also tried their General Tso in a previous visit, and the chicken meat quality was a bit better that the Kung Pap chicken but tasted like it was more flour than chicken. If you want fast and cheap Chinese food in Carrboro, China Wok is still a convenient option. Although there are a few other Chinese spots nearby (more towards the downtown area), it's still a blessing for a boring shopping center. But if you're looking for a decent Chinese restaurant that serves quality food, this is clearly not it.
