Wow. This is definitely a "don't judge a book by it's cover" type place. The number of times I passed by but never was tempted to try it. The food was amazing though. This spot is located in a shopping center and the store itself seems to be an empty grocery store (aisles of nothing in it) with the order counter to the left. Don't expect any type of ambience or a place to sit. People were coming in and out too so I'm glad we placed a phone order before we came because I assume it's popular. The wings are SO good, better than any wings chain here and listen to the reviews when they say they are worth the drive. You have the option to choose whole wings or ATL wings, we chose ATL wings. They have a long list of great flavors to choose from too. They also have multiple combinations to come with the wings which is great and makes the meal really filling. We got the cheesesteak with 6 ATL wings (honey mustard flavor) and fries. It was devoured. I got the 6 ATL wings and shrimp fried rice for myself and got the wings honey garlic pepper flavored. I also got 6 more honey bbq wings just to try. I am not even a lemon pepper or garlic parm fan but this honey garlic pepper was SO good I wish I could've switched out my other 6 barbecue wings for them. The fried rice was so delicious too and I'm not even into the fried rice and wings combo, just wanted to try it. The cheesesteak is soooooo good wow. I want to say it's a top 5 cheesesteak because they did everything right but it's just really small so you would need to order 2 if you only wanted a cheesesteak. However they are only $6.95 so it's not bad. The prices are good, the portions are great, and the food is seasoned. This is definitely my new spot.

I got a chicken Philly and fries. I was too hungry to take a picture, but the sandwich was much smaller than I expected. The fries were kinda haphazardly seasoned, and they didn't give me ketchup or napkins. I had higher expectations due to the high reviews. The sandwich tasted very good, though. While I waited, many people ordered wings, so maybe they are the signature dish.

Really good wings! This place is just for take out, love the prices and the service! Definitely coming back!

my friend ordered the wings, (mild) she liked them but she thinks they should give more than one ranch the philly with a side of fries which i ordered was okay, the phily steak didnt really taste like anything, the bread was soggy but the fries are really good

I love their wings and fried okra. The menu is pretty good as well and the service here is somewhat decent.

Best wings I've ever had in my life. The garlic honey pepper sauce was my favorite, but Cajun was really good too!

They crack those oysters there and then. Lots of fresh oyster liquor. Not some dried up tasteless oyster. I never once considered waffle fries with tartar sauce. Now, it's almost an addiction. We'll typically sit at the side bar area and chat with the employees, who are always friendly and knowledgeable about what they serve. And we'll grab a beer from the nearby bar- it is a food hall, after all- and enjoy a nice meal. They have new specials based on what's good, and they always make them tasty. We love this spot. Plenty of seating since it's shared with all the other vendors. Being that it's in a food hall, if someone in your party doesn't particularly care of Locals, they can easily get something different. This is a huge selling point so that everyone can be happy and full. We ordered: - 4 grilled oysters - a dozen raw oysters - shrimp po boy (with generous portions of shrimp) - some huge fish, maybe snapper? - kale salad Everything about this place is so fresh. You never have to wonder how long it's sat there or if there has been enough patrons to keep the supply fresh. You know at Locals that everything is always on point. Highly recommend to anyone with a fresh seafood itch!

Today however we planned a birthday at Shonuff at 4:30pm at their Broad Street restaurant. When we got there, it was closed despite signage and Google saying they should be open until 6pm. It was shocking and confusing. I understand it's the awkward time between Christmas and New Years where some businesses are taking a holiday break but no where did we see any change of hours notification, not on Google, not their website nor on Instagram. Very disappointing for the birthday girl and her guests that 1) traveled hours for this event and 2) were dressed for a seafood boil. So after visiting this empty and closed restaurant our party of 6 ended up going to the Durham food hall for seafood. To the store: please be sure to update signage. We really love your seafood and want to plan our trips. I will also let the store know this feedback too.

The individuals I dined here with had flounder and catfish and they also enjoyed their food. I also tried the collards and that was also very good. The staff here were upbeat, professional and attentive The restaurant itself isn't fancy. Many areas can use more cleaning such as the paper towels holders on the tables and the bathroom trash can. One operating restroom isn't sufficient for the crowd that comes in and out of this restaurant. Overall, very good seafood and I do recommend. It's Sho Nuff GOOD!

That's the first thing you notice--plenty of parking. I had no trouble finding a spot on two separate visits this week. Inside, it's a cozy setup with a bar, table seating, and an outdoor patio area. It has that laid-back oyster shack feel. The patio looks like it could be dog-friendly, though I didn't confirm. The place is clean, and the staff are genuinely friendly across the board--welcoming without being overbearing. Food-wise, it delivers. On my first visit, I had steamed clams and steamed Gulf shrimp. Both were phenomenal. The clams were sweet and perfectly cooked, and the shrimp was just as impressive--simple, fresh, and done right. Second visit, I went a different route and ordered a hamburger--yes, at a seafood spot. Running keto, I skipped the bun, and it turned out to be a great call. Cooked exactly to order and full of flavor, it held its own against the seafood. Whether you're coming in for oysters on the half shell, fresh seafood, or even a solid burger, this place covers it. Make sure to check the chalkboard specials--that's really where the menu shines, with daily deals that are worth the visit.

There was so much parmesan cheese and the garlic butter was so good I could almost drink it. I just wish I got more bread so I could enjoy the cheese and butter more. Not that it matters too much but I was expecting charbroiled oysters on the half shell like in New Orleans, but these oysters come already shucked without the shell. The NC Catfish on the other hand was good, but not great. The catfish was crispy. The beans, rice, and pork were perfectly cooked.
