    6. Sweet Onion chicken

I had high hopes for 92 chicken and they unfortunately fell short for me in some respects. I saw a social media post about the onion chicken and just had to try it out. The restaurant is clean and simple with TVs playing kpop. It wasn't too crowded when we went so service was quick. We ordered the sweet onion chicken, green onion soy garlic chicken, curly fries, and red spicy boneless chicken. Everything tasted fresh fried and came out with gloves to keep our hands clean. I was surprised to see that they did not offer complimentary water, and we had to buy bottles for $2 apiece instead. :/ The curly fries were delicious and crisp, not much to say about them! The sweet onion chicken was delicious! The onion-Mayo mix on top pairing perfectly with the crispy h Chicken. Super messy to eat but totally worth the indignity. All of their chicken was well fried and flavorful. However I wasn't as big a fan of their soy garlic or red spicy marinades. The soy garlic was too one-dimensionally salty and the red was candy-sweet. Overall I would probably get takeout from 92 chicken if I was craving the sweet onion chicken, but their other sauces aren't to my taste. The lack of free water is so strange for me, I don't think I've seen restaurants in America really do that. Well, as my mother would say, why buy it, we have water at home!

Came here on a Thursday night. There were several other occupied tables but generally free seating. Ambiance is casual - pick a table, grab your own napkins kind of place. Service was quick but also do it yourself style. As a lover of Korean fried chicken, I was not very impressed. Compared to other fried chicken joints, the chicken was small/dry, overpriced, and less flavorful. We got the sweet onion and the soy garlic. Much of the flavor came from the dressing of the sweet onion, but not the chicken itself. Each set was around $18-22, which is around $5 more expensive than other places nearby. However I will say, a friend of mine recommended the place and thought it was decent, so I may be biased!

I wish I could give 92 Chicken more stars but it's sort of just adequate. I'm a fan of Korean fried chicken and wanted to see what 92 Chicken would be offering up. And it's solid but not exceptional. Up front, 92 Chicken sits in the old space that used to house Vit Goal. It's a smallish, run-down plaza but I'm good with that since you can find some hidden gems in places like this. Inside, 92 Chicken is pretty bare-bones with some chicken themed decor and a basic dining room with 2 and 4-tops. For sure the family running the business is Korean but I believe it's part of a chain. I order up some KFC drums and fries and it's solid but feels like just basic fried chicken with some commercial sauces on top. I think this business probably does a solid take-out, delivery option but for dine-in you can certainly do better. If you live in the hood, certainly stop on by but I wouldn't go out of my way to dine here again...

This place has got to be one of my favorite places to go to in Durham for fried chicken. The place reminds me of Bonchon, which is another chain that sells Korean-style fried chickens. I couldn't make up my mind on whether to get the soy garlic chicken or the spicy garlic chicken so I ended up getting both. Lol. I ended up loving both! What I like about the establishment is that it is clean and the owners were friendly. I will definitely be back for more the next time I am back in town!

With 92 Chicken opening in place of Vit Goal, we were excited to try one of the newer Korean Fried Chicken spots in Durham. We got the Original Fried Chicken and Soy Garlic Chicken for takeout. The order and pickup process was smooth, and our food held up pretty decently after a 20 minute car ride back home. The Original Fried Chicken was crispy and juicy and probably our favorite. The Soy Garlic sauce was also delicious and didn't compromise the crispiness of the wings. While not the best chicken in the Triangle, 92 Chicken is certainly worth a try and is very authentic in terms of "Korean Fried Chicken!"

The honey garlic chicken and regular fries were so delicious. My friend did not enjoy her curly fries due to lack of seasoning. The prices are pretty steep (10 wingettes for 17.99 and 4.99 for fries) for a fast food restaurant but the food was really flavorful. I would visit again based off taste alone, but it wouldn't be my first choice due to price.

    2. Soy Garlic Chicken Wing

I used to love this place but I will never come back. How you go up on the price and cut portions!? Look at these Premature Baby Wings!!

Great Korean fried chicken! The chicken was very flavorful and the meat was juicy. This place is family owned and kinda small, but the vibes were very comfy. The lady working (I believe was the owner) was very nice and patient. She recommended this alcohol drink that paired great with my meal. Would come back again!

I would definitely recommend trying if you're new to Korean fried chicken or a connoisseur. I tried the honey garlic wings and the soy garlic wings with a side of rice. It came with kimchi and pickled radish. Both flavors were really good but my favorite was soy garlic. That was probably the best soy garlic KFC I've ever had. The service was great and quick and the ambience was laid back. It seems more people come in for take out.

Service and ambiance is always great and welcoming when I eat here. The lady that serves us is always so sweet and last time we ate there she told us a fun fact. She had mentioned that the mural on their wall of chicken was painted by an employee who is famous for her paintings in her country. I thought it was neat because they looked so realistic. The food is by far the closest to authentic Korean chicken. I usually drive 1 hour to drive to soo Cafe, and this is so much closer.

Excellent Korean fried chicken. Highly recommend. I got the Garlic Spicy Chicken and it was tasty and the perfect amount spicy.

Come on. The wings were so tiny. $15.99 for ten baby wings is crazy. Pictures show larger wings, so hopefully this is a one time thing.

The wings are good, but the red cole slaw is phenomenal. Plenty of options for sauces, including some hot that won't make you cry.

Lemon chicken tenders were really good! There's a lot of them, though -- 10 -- so be ready to share. I got them take out.

The menu is a bit overwhelming. They have a lot of options, and the combos are not numbered. You choose a tray, a main, two sides, and a drink. I opted for a double burger with everything on it, with jalapeno cheese fries and white cheddar cheese bites for sides. I upgraded the drink to a chocolate shake. They were pretty quick. I got my food from the drive thru very quickly. The burger was surprisingly good. The bag advertised the food as "cooked outdoors style" and that burger tasted like a burger bought at the grocery store, cooked over a flaming grill. The fries were a bit soft, but they were well salted, and covered in standard cheese sauce and fresh jalapeno. White cheddar cheese bites were tasty, but they didnt stretch like a mozzarella stick. The chocolate shake i ordered was super thick, creamy, and delicious. It's a simple burger, simple fries, simple shake, and it's cheap. And sometimes, simple and cheap is all you need. I got a regular burger with mayo, ketchups and pickles, fries and a pache cobbler shake, while my husband got the big double tray with fries and the Orange Squeeze shake. I DID NOT like the shakes. It was like trying to drink a pint of ice cream and was way too thick. It should have been serve in a bowl instead of a cup! The fries and the burger were very basic, but just like a burger you would eat at a cookout. The staff seemed bored with their jobs, but when you approached the counter to order, they were very friendly and helpful. The .enu was very diverse and had a ton of options. If I have my kids with me on the next trip, I would bring them to try Cook Out, but probably not order the shakes.
