I stumbled metaphorically in to Only Burger a while back and instantly realized that I needed to use some restraint as they offer delicious combinations of foods, both vegetarian and meats, probably some vegan options as well. Prices are good though it can add up quickly if you get a lot of what you want. Service is a bit slow as there aren't many wait staff. For such a tiny place they sure do offer a good selection of foods.. Much of it is fried or grilled. Every single thing that I have eaten tastes delicious. I'm guessing that most of their business is take out. When the weather is good some people sit outside. This is not a glamorous place. Not a problem! It's not close to where we live, so I don't go by frequently and that's probably for the best. given my age and health. I am impressed by the service and also by the clientele. No one demands to get their orders very quickly. We live close by and have passed a few times. I can't believe we waited so long to go here. It's small on the inside, but super cozy. They have some outdoor seating as well. They have a huge menu with so many options. It was one of the best burgers I've had in Durham. They also have chicken and hotdogs and so many different sides and apps. We had never had fried pickles that thick before and they were really juicy and so good. The sliders were so cute like the perfect size. We will definitely be back again! read more

I took my daughter out to lunch at this restaurant yesterday. I had been there previously and knew how great the burgers were but this was her first time there. The inside of the restaurant is small with a limited area for dining. There are areas outside for dining, but as it was still chilly outside, we stayed inside. I had good customer service and everyone was friendly and professional. The burgers at this restaurant are always huge, moist, and seasoned well. They are handmade daily. I decided to try The Good Fella turkey burger instead of the basic turkey burger that I typically get. This burger was even more flavorful than the burger I had the last time I ate at this restaurant. The fried green tomatoes were good as well, but even better with the spicy chipotle ranch sauce. They also have great fries. The fries were cooked well and not soggy. This is definitely my go-to place whenever I am in the mood for a tasty turkey burger! Second trip here, and another excellent experience. The food was ready pretty quick, and was absolutely delicious. The Bacon Wrapped Mac & Cheese is awesome (go ahead and get the large, it's worth it), and the burgers are phenomenal. The first time we went with a small group, and everyone ordered different burgers, and we all left very satisfied. The indoor seating is limited, but there is seating outside available too. We love a success story and, by all accounts, the Only Burger story is one of those. From a wildly popular food truck to a brick and mortar store that appears to be doing a booming business. Despite the restaurant's name, for my first visit, I was here for a hot dog that I had heard rave review of. The cashier was patient with me as I debated adding a burger to my order too (but ultimately declined). I got the carolina dog with chili, mustard, and cole slaw. This was a 10/10 dog. It was a split top bun that was perfectly toasted on each of the cut sides. The frank itself was SIZEABLE basically just sitting on top of the bun versus nesteled in it. The cole slaw was layered *below* the dog which I kinda liked. Then the mustard and chili were added. All of the elements were delicious. Also, the onion rings were great. SUPER crispy with a great dipping sauce. It's take-out only so I ended up eating in my car and enjoyed every minute of it. I'll definitely be back to try a burger (and more onion rings)! read more

My friend ordered some fried pickles she let me have one and I must say they too were good but the real star of the whole meal here was those jalapeño poppers! Overall this was a great find who knows if I'll get to come here again but it's definitely not out of the question if I'm in the area. Was there this weekend and haven't been since right before covid. I was surprised to see there's no longer any indoor seating. We did sit outside in the covered picnic table area since it was a nice day, but even tho there's heaters not sure how well it's going to help when it gets cooler with one end completely open. I tried this place when it was a food truck a few years ago and have been meaning to go for a while. I finally made it there recently and I'm so happy I did. The flavor in these burgers is A+. This is officially my new favorite burger place. I like my burgers well done and many places can get well done burgers wrong. This place makes sure they are so good! They also don't skip on the toppings here! The bacon is thick and delicious and they have great combinations of burgers such at fried tomatoes and pimento cheese. The fries here remind me of McDonald's style fries and each time I got them they were hot and fresh! The only thing I can complain about is the paper cups. They are actually then white cups that get a little flimsy after the drinks have been in it a while. Please note they only have outdoor dining here! I gotta say Durhams best burger spot with a lot of options which they helped us narrow down to two the mushroom melt and the bacon blue, but best believe we are gonna try the other flavors the next time we go. The lamb patty I got was just a tad dry, but tasted great and was filling. Only burger is a solid burger place. I requested mine to be cooked medium rare and the center was perfect, but I thought the beef patty was still a bit chewy at some places. The meat is definitely juicy and the ratio is perfect with the lettuce. I thought the chili was also flavorful and had a nice spice to it. The fries are a bit soft but perfectly salted. The only reason I'm not giving Only Burger 4 stars is because I don't think of it as a burger place that I would highly recommend to a friend to try- but it's still a great place to get your burger fix. We were initially drawn in for the bacon wrapped mac and cheese, and these rich bites did not disappoint! Are they a lot with a loaded burger? Yes. But they are so worth it! Only burger I came at around 7:20pm on Sunday. There was plenty of shared parking space with a couple other restaurants and the USPS in Hope Valley Square. In the restaurant itself, there isn't much dining space indoor and there are three outdoor round tables that can fit 4 comfortably. It may not be a good for groups. I ordered the Greek burger with grilled mushrooms and grilled peppers to go. The food came out in 5 min. The feta cheese in the burger is a great complement to the lamb. The olives added that extra Mediterranean twist to a burger though I thought it was slightly overpowering depending on the bite. Sometimes, it was more of an olive burger with lamb than a lamb burger with olives. I wished there was more taziki sauce to cut the gaminess of the lamb a little more and the burger bun itself didn't taste fresh. The quality of the bun is what made me give 3 stars for an otherwise 4 star burger. Though, overall, what I appreciated about this place is the efficiency of the service. This is simply the very best $5.25 burger I've ever had - very well maybe the best burger at any price - their burger makes 5 Guys look loke 5 Wimps, and it is less expensive, and it comes WITH A SIDE.. Gotta love short and sweet reviews but I have no choice because my first Only Burger had a really short lifespan of about 30 seconds! I inhaled it so fast, I didn't even have time for a picture of it, which is rare for me... I ran into the Only Burger truck at the Best of Indy event and a chorus of hallelujah's came from the heavens! Chasing down these trucks seems to be a lost cause for me so serendipity must have brought Only Burger out, last night. The menu is about as simple as you can get: single or double, with fries/chips and maybe a drink. Only Burger is definitely not cheap but it's worth the money! The long line of hot and sweaty people moved pretty quickly and I ordered up a single with some fries, about $8. My cheeseburger with bacon, pickle and ketchup comes wrapped up in foil just like Cook-Out! But you know what? They actually do a better job than Cook-Out... Great buttered, toasted bun, well-grilled meat (about 1/4 lb patty) and tasty toppings (thick-cut bacon on my burger). The skin-on shoestring fries were also nicely salted, yum-o! They disappeared quickly with the hungry mouths around me. Now if Only Burger could only open up a storefront! Although I admit there's something fun about eating a great burger while sittin' on the curb. Looking forward to my next visit, Only Burger! First things first! They have turkey burgers. Secondly, the service was excellent. Lastly and most importantly, the food is worth the wait/weight. I went today, and although I was late returning to my office, it was worth it. My turkey burger was juicy, flavored, hot, and delicious. It is by far one of the best burger joints in the area.
