Smoky Mountain with garlic parm fries. Not worth the calories.
    richard d.

The truck showed up in our neighborhood with only a single person working. We waited over an hour and a half for 2 burgers, fries, and a grilled cheese. The bacon on the Smoky Mountain Burger was inexcusably and laughably small. The burgers were also more well done than they needed to be, they were pretty dry. The garlic parm fries had no garlic. The parm was the equivalent of the green can of parm shook on top. The grilled cheese tasted burnt, and it was just a Kraft single on white bread. None of this was worth the wait nor the calories.

$9 combo. Comes with a drink too

I really wanted to like this food truck but it didn't quite deliver. I went with the cheese burger combo for $9.00 + tax. It came with a side of fries and a drink. When I received it, the fries were all broken and over fried. It was like eating the little bits of broken pieces at the bottom of a bag of chips. The burger was good and had a nice char to it. Other than that, not sure if it's worth the price point. I could've done without the fries but the deal just sounded so good. Overall, the owners are friendly and very kind. I appreciate the good customer service.

Burger was decent.Fries a no go...totally soggy and over cooked. The air fryer didn't even help. No salt and a weird taste.

Tried this food truck out at a rodeo near my work. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with Fries which were decently priced. Those fries were bomb! Good food and quick service, two of the most important things when visiting a food truck.

I had the opportunity to try Will & Pop's food truck at a Fall Dept. of Genetics Festival at UNC-CH. I had the cheeseburger with fries and was pleasantly surprised with the intensity of the cheese combining well with the freshness of the burger the patty. The burger bun is flaky and has a great smell to it. The patty is cooked perfectly, not overdone nor charred. The fries are pretty sub-par, slightly lacking consistency in their cookery but overall seasoned well and giving a good texture. Will & Pop's offers a good bite to eat with clean flavors and hearty textures. The price point is great for the quality of food that you receive. This rating could have been a 5/5 stars, but Will & Pops has not surprised my imagination nor my palate yet. My fellow foodies, it is worth taking the time to check this truck out!

You have to love Will & Pop's. The first I ever heard of Will & Pop's was from a Groupon. So I figured I would give them a try for the good deal. The food was great, but I think there was some confusion on the Groupon deal with the guy that took the order. So I contacted Will and he told me to find them again and he would make up for it. I would say that is great customer service. With the food, the menu changes depending on the event, and what they have. But no matter what, the menu is always tasty. One thing I love is their fries. They have awesome fries to go along with their tasty burgers. Another thing is that when you go to chain places, their toppings are low quality, but not here at Will & Pop's. You can even follow them on Facebook and Twitter so you can keep up with where they are traveling to. You can generally find them at most of the food truck rodeos around town. Plus you can always tweet them and Will will gladly tell you where they are, or their schedule. Friendly people, with great food. Good times, good times.

Ok, just had Will & Pops for dinner while they were at Leesville Road Middle School. (Thank you for coming!) Their burgers were The. Best. Ever. Ordered food to go home since we weren't in the mood to cook. Glad we weren't. Got the Smoky Mountain Burger, the 919 and a regular burger. All were delish! I'm married to a burger connoisseur and he even approved! It was a substantial amount of meat, cooked to perfection, the bacon was crispy and thick, the lettuce and tomatoes were crisp and fresh too! Loved the garlic parmesan fries too. They were the long, thin kind and had just the right amount of parmesan and garlic. Oh, and just had one of the cupcakes. Holy moly. I don't even know the flavor and it was sooooo good! Glad I only ordered one for each of us. We would gain too much weight if we had more. Ha!! Thanks for making it out to Leesville, Will & Pops! Now we are huge fans!!! HUGE!! Great food and nice workers.

Smoky mountain burger - on white bread for some reason

Alright well I don't know if maybe they were just having an off day on my first visit but the food today was so much better! I got the Smoky mountain no bacon again and added jalapeno. The burger was cooked medium on a nice brioche bun. It was very juicy and I loved the honey bbq sauce with spicy jalapeno combination. Also had lettuce and tomato which was a nice add. The fries were fresh and crispy this time and the seasoning was much better. I was happy it was better than my first visit and look forward to their next visit.

This place just might give Only Burger a run for their money! A great-looking truck with a chalkboard menu of variety. They had six burgers to choose from -- plus a special "eat at your own risk," "Hell Burger." I asked the gal to tell me about it, and she summed up that it's made with habaneros, and about 30 times hotter than the Jalapeno Burger. We chose the Jalapeno Burger. (Side note: Normally, I am not one to step down from a food challenge [Extra-zany-make you sob like a baby-spicy? Bring it on, says I.] However, I married a whitey, and we were splitting this burger. And I'm trying to be a more considerate wife [who is apparently not yet considerate enough to deface his weak-sauce spice handling in a public forum]). The burgers ranged a bit in price, with the Jalapeno Cheddar coming in at $6 (no fries). It came with tomato, lettuce, onion, and pickle. And you could add your own condiments. The burger was big and beefy, and downright delicious! Juicy meat that was cooked just long enough. They source from Weaver Street and Cliff's, so it's cool to know they're supporting some local businesses too!

Will and Pop's came to our company picnic and did a great job making fresh patties, sandwiches and fries. Since everything is fresh and made-to-order, you have to expect some time to prepare and cook your burger. The burger was really tasty, fresh and full of flavor. The team did a great job of pumping out all the orders and am glad to see Will and Pop's back on the scene.

I tried it and I was so pissed I was ready to go back and argue and fight because it's criminal they charge this and give you the worst food ever. I'm Mexican I have 25 years experience in the kitchen and I'm talking authentic cuisine from Italian to Asian and American but I also have worked with Mexican cuisine and mainly tacos and carnes. The Al pastor tacos aren't marinated right I threw up after one bite and immediately threw it out I realized it was not fully cooked correctly and they used cow skin bits to pass them off as Al pastor tacos which is wrong. The steak tacos are very full of nerves and chewy as heck the chicken is just dry like all the other foods and I don't think they marinate their food or refrigerate it. I seriously em debating whether to report them to health and safety for food they are bad I hope no one goes there anymore and if you do just know if you feel sick or nausea that it's more then likely from them or even food poisoning. I don't even want to give a star. It's so sad taco trucks aren't the same anymore, the Michoacán taco truck down the street next to cliffs meat market if you go just know that their restaurant in Durham failed with flying colors their inspection and dorm refrigerator their food correctly although I admit it's good and taste better and the price ain't bad I do warn you that that truck will charge your card multiple times and steal money I had that issue

I literally just finished my Al Pastor quesadilla and had to write a review! The Al Pastor is marinated pork and I was a bit skeptical to have it in a quesadilla but I was told its good so I decided why not? SO glad I got it! Not only is the pork tasty and juicy, there's so much of it! I loved that they did not hold back on their portions and after just one quesadilla (at $5) I'm satisfied. It came with a side of spinach, tomatoes, avocados (no extra charge yay!!) and topped with some cheese and cream. Really good stuff! Great customer service! They were really nice and friendly even though I was awkwardly staring at their menu for awhile. They had a variety of meats to choose from and had other options which I'll have to try next time. It was super quick service as well! The only downside is that they didn't have seating available but considering it's cold, I was okay with taking it home. Definitely recommending this food truck to everyone! Great food, great price and quick service? Can't get better than that with me! Side note: they are at Berkshire Manor West (off 54) every Tuesday night!
