We've seen Chirba Chirba around at different food events, so it was fun that they came right into our neighborhood! We tried the mini spicy chicken and juicy dumplings....GET BOTH!! They were really good. The regular and pineapple sauces were our favorites. Didn't love the glass noodles, but the fried rice was great and the portions are big. Staff was super friendly too. Definitely a food truck we'll keep an eye out for! read more

Caught Chriba Chirba on a beautiful Sunday at Joymongers in Greensboro. Very friendly and super quick...I placed my order went in for a drink came back out and it was ready. I had the juicy pork dumplings and they were as advertised...juicy and full of flavor. They had a spicy bean sauce as a condiment that was excellent. Also, I had a bourbon lemonade from Joymongers and it was the perfect pairing. I had an order of 6 dumplings and that was a great size for a light lunch. I will definitely search them out in the future. read more

These dumplings caught my eye at the International Food Truck festival. I got the 6pc pork dumplings, I thought at first 6 would be too much for one person but it was the perfect portion. I really appreciated the dough to filling ratio, less dough and more filling! The pork filling was really well seasoned. I got my order in a matter of minutes, even with a line! read more

Chirba Chirba Dumpling - Chinese Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

I love dumplings! I always see Chirba Chirba Dumplings around NC and heard how popular they are. I think this is my 2nd time having them and I got the 12 pc mix of their juicy buns and spicy chicken mini's. They gave me a lot of the chicken mini's! They were good and I think they're not overly spicy, just a nice lil' kick to them. I had high hopes of their juicy buns since it's a soup dumpling, but there wasn't much broth in the buns. Besides that, the juicy buns were still flavorful and tasty. I grabbed 2 of their dipping sauces, garlic sesame and Chirba spicy. Both did not disappoint! read more

Food Wrapped in Food! Who's in? I'm a sucker for dumplings of any kind whether they're Russian, Italian, Polish or Asian. (the RIPA of dumpling lore). Raviolis, Pierogies, Gyoza are all amazing and I, like many others could make a meal out of these sealed pouches of flavor. Some dumplings can be bland, but the kind folks at Chiba Chiba made sure these had a lot of flavor. I tried the Pork and the Veggie and all were good. The staff was friendly and others around me eating dumplings hunched over also seemed to be enjoying. This is a food truck, so good luck finding it. Instead of driving up and down every street screaming "Here Chirba Chirba", they may have a social media page that tells you where they're gone be slinging their dumplings like an angry bird at a green pig. read more

Great dumplings. Great service! Really enjoyed the selection and the team was so helpful with us finding what would work with our group. Thanks! read more

The two gentlemen who helped me at the truck were really nice. I had the pork and chicken dumplings and they were the best dumplings I've had so far, definitely recommend. read more

Pretty tasty dumplings if you're craving them. I swung by the food truck and ordered a medium (12) Juicy Buns. It didn't take long for the food to come out and they wrapped them in tin foil to keep them warm while you move to your eating spot. They only had 2 sauces to choose from when I visited, a garlic sauce and a spicy sauce. The lady who took my order was friendly as she took my order and it didn't take long at all for the buns to come out. I recommend giving them a try if you see them out and about! read more

It's good but pricey for dumplings! I think their most popular one-the juicy dumplings are the best. My sister had mini chicken dumplings, which were dry and mushy- not good unfortunately. I think I spent $8 or so on my dish. This food truck has been around for a long time and always has a long line! But a key of advice is that you want to pick the juicy buns! read more

Highly disappointing food truck. It was parked in Greenville NC for Pitt street at a very popular spot and they did not come thru for the customers at all. You would think that a busy night would come with preparedness but no. It took 40 minutes in line to order standing, then 30 minutes to get the food after order. After 1:10 min of waiting we had our first bite and it was so disappointing. It was way too doughy and felt like it came reheated from a bag. Such a disappointment because the expectations were high for this place. Not to mention 18 pieces was $28 which was a rip off. This place deserves a 1 star. read more

Good truck overall. I'm always on the lookout of where they are posting up for the day/weekend/event. I've been ordering from them for years and fell in love with their Juicy Buns (XLB/soup dumplings). Not 100% authentic but pretty close and pretty damn good that you have a craving for them. The staff is always kind and friendly and they make sure your needs are met. They also offer noodles and other dumplings, but the star of the show is by far their juicy buns. A big plus are the sauces to choose from: Chirba Spicy (not hot-hot), black vinegar, garlic sesame, and pineapple curry. Highly recommend. read more

So not worth the wait! This truck was scheduled to open at 1pm and waited 30 min to open plus wait time for food, and the dumplings are just ok. Trader Joe's gyoza is better than these dumplings. The chicken mins were dense and I couldn't even tell there was chicken inside. Tasted like a ball of dough. The pork buns were better, but still just ok. It was a pork meatball inside of a dumpling. read more

Had this at Durham pride. I got the 6 veggies dumplings with fried rice. It came to be 18 bucks. Way overpriced for the amount of food that you get. Not the best at all. I would rather sit and eat at a restaurant. Service was quick they actually just buy frozen dumplings and reheat them. Not really much to rave about. (Yes I saw them have the frozen bags on deck) read more

The Chirba Chirba Dumpling food truck came to our neighborhood a few evenings ago. We were so looking forward to good dumplings and clear noodles. We ordered ahead through the SFF app which worked great. I showed up a few min before my order was to be ready and I didn't have to wait but a minute before my order was fulfilled. Unfortunately, we were bitterly disappointed with the quality of the food. The clear noodles and 3 orders of dumplings were all very bland and over cooked. The people in the truck were very nice. We wont order from the Chirba Chirba Dumpling food truck again. :( read more

DO NOT GO HERE! The truck is almost NEVER where is specifies address, and NEVER on time even if they are. Not worth driving around looking for it WHERE THEY SAY THEY WILL BE when they just never turn up. I wish I could give zero stars. If this keeps up, this food truck deserves to go out of business. Update 4/2/2024 once again this food truck is unreliable. Checked their IG for any updates and they still were not where they said they would be. Don't waste your time on them. It's a shame because their dumplings are yummy but Jesus they make it SO DIFFICULT to just get one of the 5-6 items they offer. I am so done with this shit. There are plenty of local food businesses who will be happy to be where they say they will be and provide delicious food. Goodbye chirba. Wish I could say you were worth it, but after the run around you sure the sh** aren't. Bye. Enjoy losing money by not taking care of your customer base. I will be taking my business elsewhere. It's a real shame because I would rather support them, but when they clearly demonstrate repeatedly they don't care about their customers even a little, and can't show up to advertised locations at times they specify (this had been repeatedly an issue). I just can't support them any longer. I will look into other places to curb my dumpling love because chirba CLEARLY doesn't care about their repeat customers. And it's sad. read more

Chirba Chirba Dumpling - a plate of food and a beer - Chinese Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

I LOVE this food truck!!! My co-workers know that I will be on an extended lunch when they come around... because the line is always long. I always order two sets of dumplings, this time the Juicy Buns and Bok to the Future with the Chirba spicy and Black Vinegar dipping sauces. I also ordered the spicy glass noodles but they are a tad bit dry. I always end up eating my dumplings first and then adding the remainder of the dipping sauces to the glass noodles and they're still good. Price is a little high, I end up paying $20 for lunch for 12 dumplings and the glass noodles; it's how I treat myself so I don't mind the pricing. The Juicy Buns dumplings were really good surprise. I could not imagine the concept of a dumpling with broth in it but they are juicy, of course, full of flavor and good with the dipping sauces I had. I typically go for the Bayside Chive dumplings but they were out this go round. The Bok to the Future dumplings were a good substitute with the Black Vinegar dipping sauce; I didn't even miss the chives dumplings. Most people don't sit around and eat their food near the truck and if you're not a sitter, ask for an additional piece of foil to cover your food with when you get it. We will meet again Chirba! read more

Delicious food, nice folks! Really enjoyed our meal and look forward to seeing them again.

The juicy buns, a savory pork soup dumpling, is definitely the best thing on the menu. We love them. I wish there were more different types of dumplings available. I also wish this food truck visited the Cary/Apex area more often. Unfortunately, the vegetable dumpling was very bland. I was able to order ahead on the Street Food Finder app, but we still had to wait a really long time for our food. Those juicy buns are worth the wait though. read more

How's it goin, dumplin? At Chirba Chirba, the dumplings are all doing pretty well! I ran into their truck at the Fullsteam Brewery 1 Year Anniversary party and couldn't resist. They've got a small menu, maybe four or five different types of dumplings including a sampler platter. I went with basic pork dumplings. It took about 10 minutes and voila! Out comes a cardboard platter with six smallish dumplings on a banana leaf with a side of chinese sausage. You can also get the dumplings pan-fried but that would have taken a bit more time. I squirted some sesame oil over my dumpling and shared them with my friends. Now I have made dumplings from scratch and have been eating Chinese dumplings since I've been, yay high. Chirba Chirba does a good job with a thin, tender dumpling skin and meaty filling. The side of sausage was a small plastic cup of sliced pieces, yum. All in all, I like what Chirba Chirba's dishing out but felt from a value standpoint, it was a bit pricey. The dumplings are small and the sausage, well you can buy it at any Asian market so not much work is needed there. Slightly larger portion sizes would really help out here. But the concept is good and I hope Chirba Chirba does well. I'm always rooting for ethnic eateries in the Triangle and Chirba Chirba is keeping things real... read more

The only thing cool about this food truck is all the stickers they have advertising other local businesses. Chirba Chirba comes to Perimeter Park for Food Truck Tuesdays and this will be the last time I eat with them. :( They had only 2 dumpling options and basically 1 side option. I got the juicy buns since that one is their most popular 'apparently'. They were watered down, runny and bland dumplings. I paid for 12 to make it a full meal. Yeah, nothing worth raving about at all. Best to just admire the food truck from afar... read more

Food Truck Tuesday: Chirba Chirba It has been a while since I had Chirba Chirba and the dumplings I have had in the past were great so I definitely wanted to visit this food truck again! I went with 6 Juicy Buns with Pineapple Curry for my sauce and 6 Braised Beef dumplings which were already tossed in chili oil. My favorite was definitely the Juicy Buns, I enjoyed dipping them in the delicious Pineapple Curry sauce! But, beware because I bit into one and it shot sauce up my nose.. As far as the Braised Beef dumplings went, they were a bit too oily for my liking. Service, luckily I was 4th in line but I do not think that would have mattered since they were moving through the line extremely quickly. I think that from waiting to place my order to receiving my food I waited less than 7 minutes. If you get the chance to try this food truck then check it out! read more

Chirba Chirba Dumpling - Juicy Bun Dumplings and Braised Beef Dumplings - Chinese Near Me - Durham, North Carolina

Chirba Chirba is a nice little food truck that has a unique dumpling offering in the area. I was able to try these while my friends and I were out at a bar across the street. This place is definitely does hit the spot for some late night munchies. My friends and I got a bunch of the Juicy Buns, Braised Beef, and Bayside Chive dumplings. They also have a variety of sauces you can use, the Chirba Spicy, Garlic Sesame, Pineapple Curry, and Black Vinegar, I liked the Chirba Spicy and Garlic Sesame sauces the most. The dumplings themselves were good, but nothing incredibly special in my opinion. What to note is that these "Juicy Buns" are like a poor's man Xiao Long Bao (soup dumplings). If you expect them to be soup dumplings you'll be disappointed. I also feel that the price is a little high for what you get, as these dumplings small. read more

The food is okay, I'm not sure if they make them from scratch or not, but that's not really my complaint here, I'm mostly upset about how ridiculous the pricing is. 6 dumplings will run you around $9, 12 dumplings will run you almost $19. I will definitely not be returning here :/ read more

We normally love Chirba Chirba, and we're happy to find a place that serves a good vegetable dumpling in the area. We've been waiting for the truck to come back and as soon as we saw it at Ponysaurus we were so excited! Unfortunately once we got our order hone we found out that their veggie dumpling (originally called Bok To The Future) don't have those ingredients anymore. It was just what seemed to both of us a ball of steamed spinach. We both didn't find it appetizing. Please bring back your original ingredients (still listed on your website). read more

Chirba Chirba Dumpling is a food truck in the RTP area with long lines on the Friday that I went. After you order, there is still some wait as the service is not that smooth. I paid around $12 for 6 small dumplings (comes with 1 sauce of your choice) and a tiny serving of fried rice. While the taste wasn't bad, I finished my meal wanting so much more because that did not fill up my stomach at all. read more

I am not a fan of their other dumplings. They're small and kind of flavorless to me, however, I tried them again at the Raleigh international festival and I was amazed. The soup dumplings are hands down the best thing there. Very pricey for what you get but they were really good. I've never had a soup dumpling so I didn't know what to expect and it's legitimately what it says. The broth inside the dumpling was incredibly flavorful and sometimes I even think about them. I was able to find a substitute for these at Trader Joe's but they just don't stand up to the ones from here. read more

The prices were outrageous. Mini spicy dumplings had no flavor, tough and doughy. Soup dumplings had a good flavor, but smushed in the container and half of them already split open. I definitely wasn't impressed overall read more

If you enjoy food trucks, Chirba Chirba is a great option as a snack. The dumplings come in 3-4 different fillings. I went with the original pork filling and it was delicious. My favorite part was choosing the sauce to go with the dumplings. You get to choose 2! The pineapple was one of my favorite. It had a nice sweet and tangy flavor to it. You may find the dumplings quite pricey at about $1.xx a piece but it's fun to eat. It's simple to make at home but it sure saves time for someone to make it for you. As for the work and labor that is involved, I didn't mind playing the high price point. You have an option of 6 or 12 dumplings. Personally, I think that the 12 is a better deal if you're eating it as a full meal. The 6 is just a snack for me. Great concept! I look forward to stopping by again in the near future. read more

This truck used to be great. It's continues to go down hill (separate from covid). customer service is pretty bad, prices are crazy for the quality, and their timing/ordering is terrible. we drove 20 minutes specifically for this truck, ordered online and was notified the food was ready. then waited THIRTY minutes after it was supposedly "ready" to actually get the food. Our order was wrong and when I notified them via social media, they really didn't care. From time to order to food in hand was an hour. They weren't busy. There were two other people waiting for food with us. I asked to have my tip refunded (you have to put in tip ahead of time) and have yet to get a response. I tried to handle this issue privately but they have basically not responded. Initial issue was brought to their attention on a Wednesday, I sent a second message on Saturday and then got a response. Asked for the tip refunded on Saturday and here we are on Monday with no response. given covid, we are trying really hard to support small, local businesses. This business isn't worth of the $40/dinner for two. read more

I wish I would have read the reviews before trying this place. I paid around 100 bucks including tip for basicly frozen grocery store quality dumplings. They're way over priced for what you get.. Not only is the food incredible but the service is spectacular! There was a bit of a wait on my order so the owner doubled my order and threw in a drink. The sauce I chose was also not ready because it's homemade so he threw in a sample of all of the sauces and the pineapple curry was spectacular. If I see this truck around in the future you can bet that I'll be a returning customer! If I could give this review more stars I would! read more

If you like Chinese food, don't eat here. If you're Chinese, definitely do not eat here. There's no way they are making any of this stuff from scratch, you'll probably be eating reheated Trader Joe's or wherever they are getting these foods. I ordered the fried rice (definitely reheated packaged rice) as well as the glass noodles. Glass noodles just tasted like vinegar and soy sauce there were NO veggies or really any anything added to it...highly disappointed. I'm from Houston and I've been to China so I know what real Asian food is, this truck is NOT it. read more

18$ + tip for Walmart frozen type food. Fried rice is Walmart's grade food and the dumplings(What they're known for) were slimy and filled with dog food-grade meat. I tried them at the Wake Tech campus and was not impressed. It's clearly not cooked fresh as it came out in 30 seconds. Lastly, the portion was absolutely tiny for the cost. Other food trucks on campus are 16$ but double or triple the amount of food--kids portions for full price. read more

One star due to them scamming their online order system, and saying an order is ready 30~ minutes before it actually was. I'd review my order/food, but I'm still waiting on it. Update, 10 minutes after previous review: Had food; Juicy Buns, chicken mini dumps, and glass noodles. Buns were bland, and the chicken mini's sucked. Not worth $22 by ANY means -- just hit up your local Chinese place and get a solid dinner for $7.50~ read more

The day I visited Chirba Chirba they had 3 choices on the menu, I went with the chicken mini dumplings with a side of glass noodles. I was really disappointed as these chicken minis tossed with chili crisps were absolutely flavorless, there was just a bit of heat from the chilli flakes, but that was about it, even adding the little cup of chili sauce didn't really add any flavor. $12 worth of disappointment is what I got here. read more
