We used to love coming here. Tonight changed my mind. At first they made a mistake with my order, despite repeating my order twice. When I got my order, I reminded them that one of my orders was extra chicken on the BBQ plate. I got back only the single helping. They redid the order. When we got home, that dish was littered with burned shavings from the grill. To top it off, the chicken was undercooked as seen in the photos. The meal was essentially inedible! The beef bibimbap order was also less than their usual par. It was like eating bubblegum. It is a cardinal rule in food service to pay attention to the order and deliver the best quality for the exorbitant prices we pay for takeout. Tonight that rule was violated. We ended up discarding our meals because of their general poor quality and taste. Not only did we receive poor quality of food, but to have the audacity to hint at a tip before we pay for our dinners was bad etiquette. In the food and beverage industry, this is just not done. We have followed Bulkogi Truck for years, particularly to Apex, Cary, Raleigh and even Durham. Tonight, this venue is off our list. We will not return. read more

I'm pretty weak when it comes to spice, so my nose did run a little, but it didn't take away from the taste at all. The potion was great for the price I paid and the meal was very substantial! The only item I ever eat at Bulkogi truck are their tacos. I think their tacos are very flavorful and the spicy sauce really delivers. I love the crunchy veggies that comes inside the tacos. The meat is always dripping with juice, so you better eat fast or the tacos will get soggy within 5 minutes. Although the meat is good - overall I think it is a bit on the sweeter side. The tacos themselves are a good portion and are filled to the brim with meat and veggies - honestly, even two is pretty filling. I would actually give Bulkogi Truck a 3.5/5 for their tacos - I just wished they could prevent the juice-sauce from getting into the to-go container so that the tacos don't get soggy. Okay, so this the second time I've had the pleasant to try the Bull City Bulkogi Truck. Both have been events (work and Offline) and they've done a remarkable job given the amount of people and time constraints, so you're not standing around 20+ minutes later wondering if you should be playing another game on your phone or not. This last time I tried their Galbi/Kalbi (Short ribs served with Rice & Cilantro). Which was particular to this event. Rating 4.75/5: CON (Just to get this out of the way) - I really don't care for my meat being sweet, so that's where for me the 0.5 mark comes from, but not the end of the world! PROS -The portion was HUGE, and I was able to have some at the event, and take some for home the next day- WIN! -The meal itself came out in under 15 minutes, and the plating wasn't rushed so presentation-wise it looked as great as it tasted. -The garlic flavour helped to ease the sweetness, and although I might be unpopular for saying I would've added just a touch of salt or possibly chili/sriracha. I'll have to keep track of them on Street Food Finder, because I've got a lot of family in the area and they love to support local small businesses too! read more

Biked from Lake Johnson to Trophy via the Walnut Creek trail and this food truck was there. My boyfriend and I both ordered the burrito bowls, mine with spicy pork and his with spicy chicken. The pork bowl was so amazing. I would eat it again in a heartbeat. I did try a piece of chicken but didn't like it nearly as much as my pork. The bowls are $10 which honestly is not bad for a food truck which I think tend to be overpriced.
